TEED Garden Ringtone - Nokia Lumia 800

Don't suppose anyone has made a ringtone of the song Garden by TEED (the tune in the Lumia Adverts) that I can readily sync to my phone have they?

I've made this one :

I'm using a mac, and iTunes and it works

Thanks v.Much (and I can confirm it works in windows)

Thanks for the ringtone!

MIDI Ringtones ARE possible

Alright, this is what I've found out so far. There is a utility called PSMPlayer which can save a regular MIDI file as a Ringtone. This saved MIDI format is compatible with WM2003.
If your MIDI file contains more than 6 instruments (including drums), then you have to reduce the number of instruments (I believe WM2003 only supports upto 6 instruments. Yes, I know, this sucks.) to 6. In doing so, you have to use your best judgement in order to see what instruments you want and which combination sounds best.
Happy ringtone making!
well i think the reason it only supports 6 is that its to make it compatable with polly. tunes(ie nokia ones)
As I have been testing this and all the nokia pollies i download work fine with my xda
sheran_g thanks great work now could you please show us a step by step on how can i convert a MIDI file with this software to be able to use it on my XDA so far i like the whoe program but it didnt work with or i may be missing something.
I get a strange sound or midi file when i put it on my rings folder on the XDA
hi Grim_Evil
can you kindly tell us how you manged to get the nokia poly tunes on the xda ?
ie step by step
where did you download the tones from?
cheers
I'll try to write up a stepwise ringtone making doc sometime soon. I'm a bit busy at the moment.
all ready done m8

in the post "Now to convert midi/polly ringtones to wm 2003 format"
Anyone know where to download FREE poly. ring-tones. I'm not talking about songs, but the regular nokia tones.......
rtttl tones
i download these rtttl tones.
i have a little utility that beams them through the infra red.
is good.
got itchy and scratchy on their just now!!!

Ringtone Support ...

Hello people of the world,
Just have a question to ask. Is there any program or any way to have support for polyphonic or midi ringtone support for my Siemens Sx56 (XDA-1)? I have tried converting Midi to Wav with the lowest quality (8-bit, Mono, 11 Khz) and the file size for 10 sec is about 100 kb. The sound quality is good but I really don't want to convert everytime I want to put a new midi in my mobile phone. So, if there is a way out there, spit it out! Also, I have cooked a T-Mobile with the Polyphonic ringtone option. But I don't see anywhere how to enable the option? Need help on that too!
from what i've heard then if you have 2003 then you can use mid files
By default, WM2003 doesn't support normal midi files unless it's of one track only, which I consider it very low quality for a device like the XDA.
By installing the MIDI56.CAB file that's part of MMS Composer, I find that WM2003 can support midi files ... it doesn't sound good as ring tones, and I prefer wav or wma instead.
Very Helpful ...
Thank You Biso007 for your help. I found the Midi56.sa.cab file from the XDA Forum and really it worked perfect. There is a little bit of change in sound of drums that sounds like some other instrument but everything else worked out fine. One question though, does anyone know how to enable or add the Midi file support when I want to assign a specific ringtone to a contact? When I go to assign a ringtone, there is only the .wav option, how can I bring the .midi option? Do I have to add Mime type or what? Any clues ... ? :?
I think this depends on the s/w design ... not something that you can modify

Has anyone used Scala 500?

Has anyone used the Scala 500 bluetooth headset with the Wizard? If anyone has do let me know how it works. Thanks.
no loud enough imo
Have used it and no problems with volume. Have had to lower volume. Problem had with BLUE CAST 'tho (using B/T headsets). To listen to music with Blue-Cast, you must enact the program, and use the left-soft-key to toggle between ON and OFF. Once B/C is enacted, the B/C window obviates 'start' and 'today' screens. To exit the B/C window, you must close it. When the window is closed, the 'today' and 'start-menu'-potential are there, but the left-soft-key only enacts my 'calender' menu, so turning B/C on and off becomes a problem. Also, with my other phones, if I turn on the B/T headset, the phone almost instantly recognises the headset, but with the 8125, I have to run the identification elements on the phone to get it running. If an understanding mind reads this and finds I'm doing something wrong, please RSVP.
PS
With the BLUE-CAST program, my Cardo-Scala-500 and Motorola-HS820 receives all sound produced in the phone, including the programmed ringtone. Without the B/C program, I get a piddling little 'beep' in incoming calls, which wouldn't help in some of the noisy environments I work in.
Works great.

Thanks all of you. Just ordered my Scala 500! Let us see how it works. I hope there is no 'static' issue with Scala working with the Wizard. What is Blu-Cast? Now I am a little confused. :?:
Thanks all. Just got the Scala 500. Works brilliantly! Including all Bluetooth function such as voice dial etc.

It's not a bug. That's just how it is with the X10.
Ok.. thank you very much...

Been using the X10 with the MW600 for 3 months now.
You can:
-be synched to your laptop and when you receive a call, the phone will take over.
-listen to radio and answer calls.
-See the phone number of whomever is calling you.
-double press the talk button to redial last outgoing contact.
-Use the play, rewind and forward buttons to control mediascape.
You can't:
-See the name of the contact even if it is saved in your phonebook.
-See the name of the track.
The two can'ts are what stands the mw600 out, but I honestly do not regret getting it as for it has decent audio transmission. Plus, there is a chance of this all being fixed after update by SE

no problem.
I use a mac, so I don't know if this will hold true for you as well. When I use the MW600 as a "headset" the audio quality diminishes, but when I use it as "stereo headphones", the audio quality is great.
Its all in the profiles...

This is essentially true for all bluetooth capable PCs as well. In bluetooth terminology the term "headset" and "headphones" refer to what is called as bluetooth profiles. More info here:
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Bluetooth_profile
The "headphones" or the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is designed to provide high quality audio (stereo or mono) transmission capabilities between two bluetooth capable devices. Hence, the difference that you notice.

good to know, thanks mate.
Just a quick dumb question: Can I use the X10's charger to charge the MW600? I am going on a trip soon and just want to carry one charger. Thanks.

Yes, you can use either or.
MW600 also works fine with spotify. Recommend the AKG K 450 headset with the short cable
With android 2.1 the x10 will be able to show track names and caller names as it doesn't lack the blutooth profiles which android 1.6 doesn't have.
Ps: just sitting in the train listening music with astro player through mw 600

afaik, there is no specific profile for displaying music track names, but caller ID work off the phonebook access profile (PBAP). so i'm guessing music track titles work off the phone's pbap as well?
I've just got mine, the quality is really good.
Additional bad points for me:
Mediscape: I can use the play/pause & skip tracks on the video, but doesn't work on the music !?
No "hold" on the buttons, as I keep accidentally touching the volume controls as volume control is touch sensitive
I haven't tried the voice activated calling though...

Weird.. it worked for the music for me.
for the touch sensitive volume button, you should hold it, not swipe it if you want to use the pause/play/next/prev buttons. it shouldn't that hard.
Mine definitely doesn't work with the music (in Mediascape), only with the video...
When I press on any of the 3 buttons:
PREVIOUS KEY / PLAY-PAUSE KEY / NEXT KEY
the light either side of middle button of the x10 lights up, but that's it.
I'm on standard R2BA020 (yeah, I tried switching it off and on again = didn't fix it!)
- also tried SEUS, it said no update for me - followed instructions (including taking the battery out etc)
I've only got one other music app = tuneWiki = the buttons work on that.
So, for me, Must be something wrong with Mediascape's Music program
== Quick Update ==
I've just rooted my x10i / debranded it, and managed further update the firmware (via SEUS) to R2BA026
= Still no joy on the playback controls for Mediascape's Music.
I've resetted the Headset
= Still no joy on the playback controls for Mediascape's Music.
Hope the next major update will fix this for me...
Instead of using the headphones can you activate the speaker phone to listen to the radio?
i just got my mw600 today. I havent used it for the gf's x10 yet (im in charge of the phone, she's just the end user) but it works fine on my k790a. It displays the name of the caller, the song titles and all the buttons work as suggested.
Im curious as to why this old ass phone from 2006 is capable of doing all this while the flagship x10 cant....

[Q] Incoming text messages sent through Bluetooth?

This is a question I've had since owning the G1. Can we make it so that our incoming text messages get pushed through Bluetooth? I know the functionality is not there with the stock messaging app, but does there exist one that does? Or can one be programmed to do so?
This would be helpful to handful of people (like me) that have Microsoft Sync systems in their Ford/Lincoln/Mercury cars. Sync is able to read you your text messages while driving, and allows you to reply with your voice or call the sender, but only if the handset supports sending texts through Bluetooth.
I would imagine that since we have the latest version of BT, it could at least be programmed into a third-party messaging app, by someone with more knowledge than I. The only handsets to support this feature out of the box are some candybar Nokia and Motorola featurephones, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to get Android to support this.
Any thoughts?
This is the only thing i've been able to find that looks anything remotely close to what your asking for...
http://www.myblueant.com/android/index.php
Hope this helps
I believe I saw on the official Sync website that one of the Android phones was working with the text part of Sync. Posted by a Android user. You might look into that and see if it leads anyplace.

Try out the vlingo app in the market. It has something called Safe reader. It will read your sms out loud. When I'm driving and have my phone hooked up to my stereo, through bluetooth, it plays the message through my speakers. Not sure about standard bluetooth headsets but its worth a shot.
DriveSafe.ly will read your incoming messages to you via BlueTooth, and can be configured to autoreply, if you wish.
I looked through the syncmyride website and several people are reporting the Droid X works with the text messaging part of the Ford Sync system. Maybe there is hope for a direct connection. Although they also talk about Samsung phones in particular having issues with the Sync.
I'm trying to get this working as well. Stock EVO
Thanks for the suggestions of DriveSafe.ly and Vlingo. This is a great alternative, however in my case they would only work if I had the car stereo connected through Bluetooth (the Sync system allows you to do a Bluetooth media stream).
The issue, however, is that most of the time I have either my Zune or my Toshbia media player playing through a USB connection in the car. Say I get a phone call, Sync knows to pause the music in the USB connection, alert me to the phone call, talk on the phone through the car speakers, and then when the call is disconnected it will resume playing the music from the USB. Since the USB is selected and not the Bluetooth stream however, DriveSafe.ly and Vlingo won't automatically notify Sync of the text (it does work if I'm using the Bluetooth streaming option though, since Android is handling the streaming).
After rummaging through some posts, it seems that Syncs ability to communicate with your texts stems from a Bluetooth profile known as MAP (Messaging Access Profile), and while Bluetooth 2.0 and higher support this feature, only some handsets have that Bluetooth profile supported. How hard would it be to add a Bluetooth profile to the Android core through, say, a custom ROM? Or would the Kernel have to be modified?
Looking at the compatibility list it seems that the Motorola phones work with the text messaging system. All ( or most) of them, not just the Android phones. So it may be deeper than ripping the BT control scheme out.
But it would be great if someone could figure it out. I don't think many people care though, if you search here for Ford Sync you don't get many hits.
Blue control
search blue control on the marketplace or appbrain. this app allows sms to be played (and responded to) through a bluetooth headset!
Vibrant reads text out loud stock.
Settings>Voice Input and Output>Text-To-Speech Settings> Check Driving Mode...though..be warned. This will read ALL incoming texts out loud, and when you get a call, it will say Call from (caller or number if it's not in your contacts)
Don't have a BT headset..well I do..just can't find the charger. lol, so can't test it. And I'm not rich enough to have a BT enabled car.
Bumpity bump

In the app description, it says it does not work with in-car bluetooth "at this time". So we can keep our fingers crossed.

I have found, that to get messages read to me and be able to reply, I had to install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9-20120710-nightly), it works great! I hope this helps.
