[Q] Game/graphics stutter possible solution - HTC Titan

A user in the wpcentral forums, stated about the gaming stutter:
"SOLVED! It was the SRS Enhancement for the audio. When turned on, both phones stutter like mad when in games! With it off, both are fine. Word of caution if you also have a Titan. Music SRS is the culprit. Video SRS seems fine... but might cause video stutter, who knows."
Can more users confirm this?

confirmed with PvsZ

Confirmed also here. I disabled the enhancements only for the audio and it fixed the severe stuttering problem I had with Sonic and iomilo. Thanx for the tip. It was kind of embarassing showing off this badass phone when the games would stutter.

Thank you very much for your replies.
The only thing that bothers me is that some users report ghosting in the screen.
If this is true only for defective models, i am getting my Titan pretty soon.

I notice ghosting, but I don't know if its much worse than what I saw on my Focus.

Speaker and Video sound recording issue

Has anyone experienced very low volumes when recording video? I know the thunderbolt has noise cancellation but not sure if it impacts audio recording while shooting video. Any ideas would be great. Oh, I made sure my hands were not covering the microphones.

I just noticed this today as well. IT seems to only happen when recording video on my phone. voice recordings and such are fine.
Im taking mine back to Verizon tomorrow to see if another unit has the same problem. If it does I will be really disappointed as I take a lot of videos.
This is normal, I believe. I've seen lots of people mentioning this online. The playback on the phone is extremely quiet, but the actual video's volume when exported to your computer isn't bad.
The only thing that bugs me is the popping sound that happens at the start of every video I take. I've noticed this in videos online as well as my girlfriend's Thunderbolt.
That bits on the phone. I noticed that same thing but just thought I had put my hand over the mic. I guess as long as the PC sound is ok it should be livable.
I don't understand how this would be normal. I haven't had this issue with any other android phone, or HTC phone. It doesn't show well when you record a video on the TB and show it right at the moment. I had two friends this afternoon that wanted This phone until I showed them this.

[Q] Radar keyboard volume levels and other audio strangeness

Has anyone else noticed that the keyboard click on the Radar is a lot quieter than other WP7 phones. In comparison to a Mozart or Trophy it's virtually inaudible at normal volume levels.
I have also noted that there is often interference in the gaps between audio tracks - a definite clicking sound when the track changes. Also not an issue on the Mozart or Trophy.
And the voice used for text to speech is very quiet when played back via Bluetooth - if I turn it up loud enough to hear it, then it's distorted. Once again, not a problem on Mozart or Trophy.
I've already sent the phone back to HTC who just reflashed it and returned it, but the audio levels are unchanged.
ROM is latest version: 7.10.7720.68 FW 1600.2200.10803.401 Radio: 16.23.02.09_2_16.24.00.23U
Anyone got any similar experiences? Or does your Radar behave differently?
Yup mine too

Same here though all phones are quieter than my DVP is. That is the loudest phone on the market.
Damn, that's a shame. Spoils an otherwise very good phone. Think I'll be going back to my Mozart, even if the Radar does have better battery life, until HTC release a fix.
I don't have a Clicking noise when changing tracks... no noise at all...
Im on my 8 day with it and simply love it.. comming from Sensation and Galaxy S2
I don't see my self going back to android from WP7... it simply works better with all the things i need it for...
by the way im from Denmark
I hear quite the opposite. My Radar is twice as lout as my other HTC HD7. Maybe you just need to adjust the volume?
I have a similar problem but not quite the same
Every once in a while the volume on my HTC Radar drops quite low for music, ringtone and everything... if i turn it off and on it goes back to normal levels...

My DVP is still louder than my sisters hd7. That's what you get for placing a speaker on the back of the phone.
Every review i've seen/read they say this has a way better speaker/louder speaker than other WP7 that have been out. maybe your radar is defective? idk
My radar has better sound than my DVP. My DVP was a lot louder before it got Mango update. Although keyboard does seem to be at lower volume level.
What I hate about radar is that whenever I am changing the tracks while playing the music, it's like I have to wait for zune to start playing the music until I can move on to the next track.
I don't think is a problem with the keyboard lower volume. I just love it the way it's, I preferred like that because with my HD7 everyone can heard when I typing. And when I use the audio jack on my car seems to be louder.

Well if im mistaken, I thought this guy had the Focus S, If it was it was pretty loud with the keyboard clicks, a lot bolder sound than my DVP. But I may be mistaken
Nothing wrong with the volume on mine. Although 8tracks and Mixtapes both fail to output any sound at all. =(

i suffer with the 'clicking' sound when changing tracks between music on zune when listening through headphones. its really annoying. I ma wondering if it is because i am using high quality headphones and they are just that much more sensitive than the standard rubbish. Going to try some cheaper headphones and see if the problem is still there and report back.

I've been having the same issue. It was pretty rare at first, but it has been happening pretty much constantly since yesterday's update. I'm doing a backup and restore right now to see if it will help any, but it has definitely been a real hassle.
Song change click noise...
I had the same problem with clicking noises when zune changed songs. I fixed it by going into the sound enhancer under options and turning off all audio effects. After that it no longer makes any kind of clicking noise. Only problem now is playing music seems to drain my battery about 10% an hour.
Have gotten used to the quiet keyboard click but the clicking and popping between tracks is still a bit of an annoyance. Agreed that with all the sound enhancer effects switched off they are almost inaudible. But TBH I think the audio without the enhancer is a bit weak. Have settled for SRS which seems to me to be the best compromise overall.
I have a weird thing with my Radar - the sound from Headphones is very low. I mean you can hear well only when volume is 20 and higher. I checked my headphones and they are perfectly fine. Even tried several others on Radar - still the same.
It's about the same effect with Bluetooth headsets.
I deleted Sound Enhancer some time ago, so I can't adjust boost through it
Then re-install the sound booster silly
I've discovered Sound Enhancer in Settings, but not as a separate app. However, it doesn't increase the volume dramatically

Sound pop fixable in software?

I noticed last night while using my phone in my quiet room that I too have the faint pop 3 seconds after a sound plays. I've found several threads on here and elsewhere relating to the HTC One and other phones having the same issue. It appears to be an OS issue rather than a specific phone or hardware issue. Some have explained that it's the amplifier shutting off after the sound has played. It's not a dealbreaker and definitely a first world problem, but this is my first Android phone after using only iPhones for the last 5 years and it is very annoying when you hear it and cant get rid of it. I also noticed this happens even if I have the sound completely off! Is this a fixable thing by google or a clever patcher?
Wow... I had never noticed this and if it weren't for this thread I probably wouldn't have. After a sound plays, it sounds like there is a sort of "static" (for lack of a better term) that plays until something shuts off. It's like on the old cassette players - the difference between the end of a tape that's playing versus having the player turned off. Weird. I really don't know what to make of it.

It's called beats audio...
It happens without beats and HTC are aware of it.
Mine does it as well, noticed it the first day I had it.

N9 Audio Feedback & Noise??

Hello all, some background first...
I'm having some audio problems with my N9.. It's a black, 32Gb, wifi only version, rooted and running pretty much a stock rom... 'Lollipopalooza', I believe.. (Nice by the way)
I bought it on Amazon about two or three weeks ago for $429, plus I received the $50 Google Play Store credit. Good deal, or so I thought.
Ok so... Like the title says, I'm getting audio feedback, noise, popping, and a sort of skipping effect, while streaming music and surfing the web, loading a webpage, or opening an app.
It sounds a lot like 28k modem from 1996... This happens no matter what app or web stream, and really ruins the multitasking/tablet experience. My N7's (2012 and 2013), never did this.
Has anyone had this happen, and is there a fix?? Or should I return it for another one and cross my fingers??
P.S. I also have the 'flat buttons' issue and screen bleed too.. Thoughts?
Thanks for any "Feedback"... Lol
Its not just you, I have the exact same issue. Its like speaker lag or some ****. Between that and screen flicker this thing is pissing me off. I only really use it for web browsing and youtube, so those 2 issues are quickly making this thing a brick to me.

i have weird issue with the audio when using earphone
when i play game, the audio are muffled, kinda like when you got water in your ear and the weird thing is, this only happen in games.
this didnt happen in youtube and music which is really weird, everything works normal here.
also when i press recent apps and then back to the game again, the audio quality return to normal, but only last for few seconds and then become muffled again.
Anyone experiencing this?

Yes facing the same issue.
I haven't faced such issues. Have played PUBG and Asphalt 9 so far. Will update this reply if I face such problems. Probably just a bug.

No I'm on 9.6.14.0. So it's a software issue after all. I tried playing games like Batman:EW, Asphalt 9 and the lot again after reading this post. No dip in audio quality whatsoever.
Facing the same issue
Yeah. Exactly. I am also facing the same issue. It happens only in games. I tried PUBG and Asphalt 9. Audio is fine in music and video players. It happened after the last update 9.6.18.0.
Same issue here.
Sometimes I also hear some kinda static noise too the in-game voice chat is not that bad but other than that all the other in-game sounds are messed up. ?
interesting find today , under additional settings ,there is a ear buds mode , tried two earphones , one brandless , other one Westone both not detected , tried mine AKG headphones finally detected ,weird i think the type of male jack has something to do with it to work properly?

It's a 9.6.18.0 specific bug as far as I've seen on the forum. Can anybody confirm using 9.6.18.0 and not facing any audio issue? I miss PUBG
