Accent Colors - Nokia Lumia 800

I got a Lumia 800 which is T-Mobile Germany branded. Therefore in my list of accent colors there is a quite ugly pink. The default is an interesting gray design, BUT there is no Nokia Blue!
What about you? Do what colors do the unbranded Lumias contain (besides the standard WP7 ones)?

You're not missing out on much, Nokia Blue is just a tad darker than the Blue Theme and that's the only custom accent colour on my phone.

Well I think the standard blue is far to bright and ugly and from the pictures the nokia blue did look much better to my taste...
I don't get why T-Mole didn't overwrite some OTHER color

Theme Background - White or Black??? [Poll + Discussion]

So, I'm curious to know, which you guys prefer - the white theme background, or the black? My first Windows Phone, the Sammy Focus, had that beautiful Super AMOLED screen, with the most awesome blacks, so there was no question. My HD7, well, it had an awful screen, but I still liked the black.
Now, with a proper white phone (really, the only solid white smartphone other than the iPhone 4/4S), I'm torn on using the white theme, or the black theme.
I'm much more fond of the black theme, because I'm used to it. Although, obviously, the white one not only suits the color scheme of the phone, but looks quite unique.
On the other hand, what about the battery? I believe the Radar has an SLCD screen, but at the expense of sounding lazy (which I am), I have done no research into the actual screen type, and whether using a black background will save battery burn.
So, which is it folks? White or black? For preference, and for battery life?
T me, I d prefer the white background. I would like to tea the batter life but so far I am pretty happy with it, specially coming from an HD2.

Black background is eating much less juice than white
White background uses less battery than black on an lcd, although the difference is negligible.
Black backgrounds use less on AMOLED whereas a white background uses considerably more.
So for you, both backgrounds will have negligible impact, but a white one technically uses less power.
I'm suing white theme for Radar 4G but I used to have black theme for my Dell Venue Pro. I like the white better than the black theme with bright neon colored case.
As for the battery consumption for SLCD which Radar 4G has, there's no difference between white and black.
For Amoled screens like on Focus or Dell Venue Pro, black drains less power because Amoled technology doesn't illuminate as much on darker colors than birght colors. Meaning very little light is emitted from the screen for darker colors, so less battery is used and shows deeper blacks and sharper contrasts.
For LCD screens, it illuminates the screen regardless of the colors being displayed. Meaning the battery consumption is the same for both black and white themed and as a result blacks look bit washed out and grey-ish because of the light compared to Amoled screens but colors are brighter and more realistic.
But really, even on Amoled screens, the difference is very little unless you have the brightness setting on max.
I use the white theme during the day and the black at night

Same here!

[Q] Screen vs phone colour.

I know this is very superficial but is the blue theme similar to the blue plastic colour of the phone? I am choosing between the black and blue model but if the two blues look the same I will get it as it would just perfectly accent each other.

Not completely sure, although I wanted the cyan model, but ended up with the black. I love it because it compliments the screen glass and the background of the start page. Sometimes the phone just looks magical, with white text floating on top of a black slab.
Want something different
Black is always the safe option but every phone I have EVER owned has been black I was hoping the blue would be amazing.

I agree with him ^^, that's what I'll be doing when the white cover comes out. Not a fan of the blue, I heard that the accent does not match with the models blue too, double check to make sure.
There is no accent color to match the Cyan phone.
Having said that, the Cyan Lumia is gorgeous. If I want my phone to look black, I'm partial to getting a black case. As it stands, people think my Cyan Lumia is in a case, until they feel that it is no.
That cyan 800 just brightness my day. Had black N9, and you are right that the black one has these magical moments when the text and icons float on the screen with the clear black display combined with the black body, especially as N9 has no front buttons at all.
Just can't get over how good the cyan 800 looks like imo. Don't like to have my phones in cases, especially as it's so hard to scratch the 800 body.
Why not getting the white one then? Black cases have been out for a while, plus the white one has that weird "rarity" feeling to it
I'm really leaning towards swapping mine for this sassy unicorn...

Custom color Lumia 920

I definitely want to get the Lumia 920 AT&T cyan color. But, I do like the deep blue almost purple of the HTC 8X. I've been checking the new WP8 color palette and I think the cobalt blue is about as close as you can get without any hacking the colors. I know some people dye their plastics (key caps on keyboards are a good example of this) and was thinking maybe dyeing the cyan portion of the Lumia 920 shell using RIT dye. Using a color mixer, it appears that 60-80% magenta would bring about the desired result and would make the phone match the cobalt blue theme. Plus, it would make the phone color completely unique.
I'm going to order some cheap cyan colored plastic and try and see if I can get the desired result. I'll report back with pics when I get some samples if anyone else is interested in this. The possibilities are pretty limitless since we now have a white Lumia available too. Imagine taking the yellow Lumia and dyeing it to match the orange tiles, or a custom pink for the white Lumia.
This will be my first Lumia, so is it fairly easy to remove the shell?

Galaxy S9+ strange led notification color

Hey,
browsed the forum and did not find anything for this phone.
this is a high-end phone, not cheap, yet it has issues with led notification colors - when i try to set it to white - it's pink. yellow - is kinda orange. other colors look strange as well.
is it normal for this model? or is this an indication of a hardware failure (broken led)?
It's an RGB led, meaning it blends the colors to make white and other colors. It's not dedicated to any given color. That's normal.
I noticed the same thing, the colors are garbage.

Question colors

themed colors are off red is pink and it only seems to produced a few different pallets
Until custom ROMs take care of it use this. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/1-0-5-non-root-mods-rootless-ui-mods.4366697/#post-85999005
