Live wallpapers whereabouts - Defy Themes and Apps

Hey guys whats up?
do you know where are the preinstalled live wallpapers? i want to delete some of them but I cant find them on the main system drive.
Thanks

/system/app using Root Explorer but if you wanted to delete some of them its better to use Titanium Backup

Under System there is a Live Wallpaper Picker APK. I guess it won't be selective though. You can try uninstalling it with a backup using Titanium or System Tuner

if i do that ill lose the ability to put any livewallpapers again?

I haven't tried it so couldn't answer. But that's why you take backup and if you need things back you can restore anyway

Affirmative you will lose the ability. I know it because i had a Samsung Galaxy 3 and they decided our phones weren't powerfull enough to have live wallpapers so they removed that app.
On xda there's was a fix so that we could put it back and use live wallpapers, instead of Bad Samsung deciding things for us..happy ever after...^_^

By the way, that app is not the actual wallpapers. I don't know where the images are but its two different things

That grass wallpaper exists in versions of Redhat Linux. Try and google "redhat wallpapers" or something alike

help please

can anybody let me know how i can get live wallpapers on my eris i have the 2.1 update o.t.a from verizon thanks.
HTC/Verizon did not add support for Live Wallpapers, you will have to root if you want them.
can you install the LWP picker via ADB/Astro and then use Home Switcher to change to "home", since LWP's don't work on Sense?? I have no idea if this will work because I've never tried it.

No. 2.1 ota doesn't have openGL because our phone isn't made for it. As stated, you'd need to root to get it.

[Request] Sense Live Wallpaper

Is it possible to get this working on the Vibrant? I installed the apk, but the wallpaper doesn't work.
+1 I wanna see this on my vibrant very badly
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647837
Might want to try that. It's a package to install them on the Nexus. It contains some libs, so incase it doesn't work, or you want to go back to the TW lwp's, you might want to do a nandroid backup first.
No promises it will work and/or not destroy your phone.
Nope doesn't work. I pushed all the libs and put the apk in system/app rebooted and selected it from lwp picker and it just hangs at the loading screen. O well

Most likely what we have seen with the leaked mini pro pics, different background colors for framework/dialer
Where are these pics? Hope we are allowed to make our own.

[MOD] Transparent Home Dock for Arc [ Update - 2.0.A.0.20 ]
It works nice on my stock non-rooted arc.
Problem is the widget overview is now pointless eye-candy. The widgets float around one over another and are harder to read and tap than last version. I don't see a way to turn it off even.
not working
Ok, I think that I have made something wrong because I can not see any difference.
I can see the option to remove instaled aps but can not see the overview and widgets floating?!
I have read somewhere that I have to remove everything from the desktop on my phone, tried that too but nothing.
By the way, non rooted Arc.
Thanks
the Theme setting is useless now, huh?
Hello everybody. Is it possible to get it with 7 homesreens ?

can some repost the apk the link is dead thx

[Q] Motorola Blur widgets

I was just wondering, coz my wife has a Motorola Photon 4G, I saw that you can use the Blur widgets on ADW EX or basically any launcher, (social media, messaging, weather tc.) and I want to use ADW EX on my phone but I cant use the HTC widgets. So the question is,
* Is there a way to install Blur widgets on the EVO3D if so, how?
* Is there a way to use the Sense widgets without the sense launcher?
let me know guys! thanks

Install Blur widgets on the EVO 3D. Widgets are packaged the same as applications, in .apk files. .apk files are basically just a wrapper like a .zip is a wrapper.
If they are compatible, you should be able to install the blur widgets the same way you would install any other application on the EVO 3D.
It does surprise me the moto blur widgets work in other launchers, that is impressive on behalf of moto putting the extra time/code in to make them compatible with other launchers.
I don't think there is anyway to use sense widgets w/o the sense launcher...at least I haven't seen anything posted. I think the sense widgets use sense launcher/framework files. Perhaps they could be portable? But not sure how difficult/time consuming the process would be.
Hope that helps point in the right direction!
Yeah, I tried extracting them and installing the apks as if theyre just regular apps, but its just giving me errors, also tried adding them to root system/apps folder, it shows that theyre installed but when you add widgets, its not there. I dont know much about this type of things. any ideas? i think you have to edit or maybe add something else here.
Pretty sure you need the blur framework in order to run any blur widgets. So, without a blur port I doubt it's possible.

What errors do you receive? Can you copy/paste/type up here or copy/paste/type up into pastebin.com and link?

This is definitely how the HTC widgets work and wouldn't surprise me if the moto blur widgets worked the same. If their framework files were separate from the system framework files, it would be easier to port but if they combine their framework files with the android framework files it will take much longer to sort out which is moto and which is android ...
Let us know what type of errors you're receiving. My gut feeling says they aren't, but *maybe* they are something simple! Hope that makes sense and helps!

Possible for new screen transitions?

I was just wondering since I have never seen this around here before if it is at all even possible to change the regualr zoom in zoom out transitions with a fade in n out one like HTC or adw launcher. That would look a hell of a lot more proffesional on these phones and doesnt it use slightly less resources as well? Would be neeaatttt.

Sure just download a launcher that has that option.
But I mean throughput the whole phone. I want to replace the zoom in and out with a fade.
I don't think I've seen an app that changes that transition throughout the whole system, but check out all the different ROMs. One may have an option for it.
There has been apps like jrummy's toolbox I believe that can change animations for the whole system. Search in market there is a free one but none that I know of with simple fade in n out.
You can check this out and see if it works for the Droid X2:

ROM Toolbox isn't compatible with oir phones iirc.
Sent from my Eclipsed and ICS themed X2.
Doesn't mean it doesn't work.
I believe I did it once on this phone when I first got it.
UOT Kitchen works wonders guys.
There is a tab in uot kitchen specifically for transitions. I've used the ics transitions from them and it works great.
Also jeffmeister is right about certain launcher apps having the option to change transitions. ADW gives you the option and I believe several others do as well.
