[Q] Bluetooth Remote control - Defy Themes and Apps

Hi Guys,
I am looking for an app which allows me to control music player on another phone. Like, the app can be installed on both the devices and by using bluetooth i can play, pause, skip to next songs on the other phone from my phone..Is there any apps available?

You could try looking into DLNA/UPnP, but as far as I know, phones can't be seen as renderers (the device playing the music by itself), only as servers or controllers.
PS: I've been trying to achieve something similar with an E52, but with no luck.

you can search some apps on ubuntu OS,I remember that there is an open source app can do that on a PC,not a phone, may be you can re-plant it.

[Q] Output all Audio of Android on PC via Wifi (not DLNA or UPNP Streaming)

Hello there,
Is there an app that can route the audio output of my android smartphone/tablet to my PC? I was googling and searching this forum for this topic quite some time, but all I found was the other way arround. From PC to android is not that urgent for me, since I mounted all my network files with cifs.ko to my phone. Although there seems to be something called Pulseaudio. To be more specific - as mentioned in the title - I am not looking for a dlna/upnp solution, because there are some situations where this is not working, i.e. the audio output of applications like grooveshark.
Of course there are a lot of remotes out there: unified remote, awarremote for winamp, gsremote for grooveshark and so on. They are pretty awesome, but sometimes it is quite cumbersome to switch the remote app all the time.
Let me describe the situation I have in mind. You are listening to an audiobook on your phone with your beloved audiobook app (audible in my case) and come home. Then you activate the WifiAudioApp and it connects to your PC and the audio is now playing on your pc speakers.
I am no developer, but I think something like this would be possible, if someone could fool android to believe that it paired with an bluetooth speaker set. But in fact it is an app, that puts audio over Wifi to a client programm on your PC (certainly only possible on a rooted phone). Don't know if this is possible.
There seems to be a gadget, which offers something in this direction:
http://androidcommunity.com/android-gets-airplay-like-streaming-via-xbounds-20111122/
But I am not that interested in video, just audio.
If anyone has suggestions for me, I would really appreciate them.
Best regards,
Bel.
P.S. I think, this would be a great application. To all developers out there: At least you would have one client, who would pay for an app like this. Certainly, there would be more.
it's a great idea!
i'm also have "robo" smartphone and i love listening to music. i have got some mp3-BoomBox which is connected to my Notebook via 3.5mm.
i can listen to music from Android smartphone on notebook via Bluetooth, but also i know that it is possible via wi-fi!
somebody please help us! without any expensive gadgets like ^^^
sorry for my english
I'm looking for an app/ method that can do this and I have found two ways to do this so far;
Method 1:
- Create a directory on my computer to be used only for music that I want on my device.
- Select this directory only for Winamp computer program to search for content in.
- Set up any playlists, preferences, titles etc on the computer program.
- Sync to Winamp app on my device.
If you configure the app and program to sync anytime the device is using the same wireless network (wireless syncing is a great feature of Winamp that actually works, unlike Kies) you will have the same music collection available on both your phone and computer.
Method 2:
- Use Gmote app to remotely control the media content on your pc (you need the PC download, too).
This method is very primitive and can only play files as they appear and not playlists however this can be remedied by creating a directory containing only the files you want to play.
Best I've found so far.

[Q] Control spotify on android tab from android phone

Hi everybody
I have a Android based tablet(junpad, like flypad) that i have as a spotify player.
Now i woundering if ther is any apps that make it possible for me to use my galaxy s or laptop as a remotecontrol to change track etc, etc. have looked at Remote Web Desktop but i cant control spotify through that. And DroidMote Server does not work on the tablet for some reason.
So, is there any aps out there that fits me?
I can connect a wireless usb mouse to the tablet, but how cool is that? Would be nice with a app or something
No one knows anyting that can work?
I'm gonna drudge this up instead of starting a new thread. Same question. I would like to control Spotify from my Galaxy Tab 10.1 with my Galaxy S III...
... also same questiion....
Did you get any further with this?
It would be great if Spotify could enable an option to play music on any other device (with the same user registered).
My best solution so far is with Spot Commander; an android application which controls a spotify server on a Linux netbook.
But I'd prefer to use an obsolete Android phone - since it would use much less power - also in stand-by. Another idea - perhaps the spot commander server application (which is Open Source) could be ported to the Raspberry Pi.
Media Remote
Media Remote by appshroom works but is pretty limited.
Hey folks,
Sorry to kick up an old thread, but I was Googling around to find the answer to the question posed above and I thought maybe answering this thread would help the next guy. It seems that if you want to control Spotify on Android from another Android, you can do so using DroidRemote. The downside to doing it this way is that it uses bluetooth.
I'd really prefer a way to do it via WiFi as its' range is higher and I don't have to turn on the bluetooth radio just for this purpose, which in turn consumes my precious mAh's. It'd also be dandy if I could use my Windows box to control Spotify on Android.
This Galaxy Tab 2 will do nicely as a Spotify player but controlling it remotely would be even more boss.
Hello,
Is there any new solution to remote control Spotify on tablet from a phone ? Is there no tweak available or mod ? Even if you root your phone / tab ?
Regards.

[Q] Need to control my mp3 playlist on my Android tablet with my Android phone.

I'm using my HP Touchpad running ICS which is hooked up to my audio system in my yard. I'm currently running Skifta to stream all my multimedia to the tablet. It works perfect.
I am now trying to figure out how I could control playlists in real time using my phone (Evo) on my tablet. I can't seem to find a dedicated media server app and remote app combo for Android. This scenario is easily accomplished if I were using a PC instead of a tablet but due to the circumstances I'm not. Anyone know of an app or apps that may let me accomplish this?

[Q] Control Google Play Music on my tab from my phone

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can offer any suggestions on this.
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) and a Galaxy S3
I play music with Google Play Music on my tab, and I want to be able to control it (change track, playlists, etc) from my phone.
Both Android, both Samsung, same application. Surely there must be something out there that can do this.
Essentially I want to use my phone as a remote control.
Ive looked, and I cant find anything, short of installing an ugly VNC connection on the tab.
If not, has anyone ever considered looking into it?
Thanks
Howie
I don't think Play Music supports remote device controlling yet, as far as I know. This would have to be built into the app in much the same way TV pairing is built into the Youtube app and not the device itself. Or so I think, but I could be wrong.

there is a great remote app for grooveshark that does this. I have not found anything for play music yet.

[Q] App to turn Android into Air Play device?

Hi all,
I've been playing with the airplay apps over the last week or so but am hitting some problems.
I have a couple of old android phones setup around my house which have speakers connected to them. I run Bubbleupnp on each of those devices which then effectively sets them up as DLNA libraries and renderers. I have two other devices setup - an android tablet and a QNAP NAS. My QNAP NAS supports DLNA and this is where my music library is stored. The android tablet is used as a controller, again running Bubbleupnp, where I can choose the NAS as the library and either of the android devices as speakers. This works great.
One problem is that with Bubbleupnp, it is only possible to select one renderer which means it is not possible to stream to multiple speakers at the same time. E.g. I want to stream to my kitchen and my living room at the same time with the music completely in sync. Another problem is that when using Bubbleupnp, music sent to the renderer must be from a library and cannot be live streaming on the controller device (E.g. Spotify, Youtube etc.).
I then found AirAudio which actually fixed both of the issue (Sort of). Firstly, when running AirAudio on a rooted device, you can push any sounds from the controller device to any of the DLNA renderers (E.g. Spotify). Secondly, it is possible to stream to multiple DLNA renderers at the same time (Obviously, Bubbleupnp still needs to be running on these devices to make them DLNA devices). The only problem here is that when sending to multiple renderers at the same time, they are not in sync. The is due to the actual streaming being performed on the individual devices and therefore they all perform differently.
I emailed the AirAudio development team and they were extremely helpful in explaining the details of this to me and even recommended some other apps to try which might help. The apps which they recommended were Android HiFi and AirBubble where it is possible to set different delays for the different renderers. I am yet to actually try this as I imagine that the delay is not exactly the same each time I try and play music and therefore the delay will need to be altered regularly (Bit of pain).
This whole problem is a limitation of DLNA - you cannot synchronise multiple devices. Apparently you can synchronise multiple AirPlay devices?
So, after all of that, my question is, 'Is it possible to turn an Android device into a AirPlay device?' The developers at AirAudio seemed to think that audio synchronisation of AirPlay receivers for Android is not supported, if this is true, does anyone know why? Seems mad that something as powerful as an Android phone can't be an AirPlay device.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Dan
Sorry to bump this but just hoping that someone reads this who can help.
