How do I add words???? - HTC Radar

I have just got a Radar and can't find out how to add my own words or how to turn off the predictive text, sorry if I am being thick but windows phones are all new to me........

Type word, let it auto correct, tap word hit the + next to the new word

Can you turn off the predictive text?????

Setting -> Keybaord -> tap your language at the top -> turn it off

Thanks a lot MJCS, I will get used to this but it's all so new to me and am a bit wary of messing with it to much till I know what I am doing......

The autocorrect will learn fairly quickly. Just give it a chance

texting, Word completion spacing

i have a htc touch pro cdma and in input/setting word completion tab i have * add a space after word enabled... but when i am texting and i pick an auto completion word it places the word in my text but never adds the space... anyone know where in the registry where i can check to make sure its enabled...? driving me crazy
It has me flabbergasted as well: no space, really messed up in the word completion department! And lately, when I use the hard keyboard, the entries I make are invisible. Or when I text, the suggested words are invisible - the box is there, the words are in there, but it "appears" as a blank box. I'm saying they're there, because when I select one and hit enter, it gets typed.
Really irratic!
there has to be a spot in the registry that has a 0 for spacing and it needs to be set to a 1 .... i would think .... but i know the experts on this site would def know more.. can anyone please comment if they have an idea?

Custom dictionary

Not quite sure how to explain this. But on my bb I could go into the dictionary and add my own words. For example, if I typed na(space) it would automatically come up "sorry not available". Does anyone know.how to do this on an android phone? I tried to find an option on my Samsung fascinate and droid charge, no luck.

Some keyboards allow you to do acronyms like Slide It I think.
Smart Keyboard Pro allows you to do this.

You can add them as you go on swype.
You can add them as you go with the stock keyboard too. As soon as you start typing a down arrow appears. Hit that and at the bottom there is a button that says add word. Or you can you can through the settings menu, language and keyboard, touch input then to personal dictionary.
You guys are misunderstanding... Basically he wants to add shortcuts... For example typing abc I can make it type out "my name is cares"

[Q] How to edit predictive spelling

Hi guys, I'm currently on the lollipop (rooted of course )build but my issue is not version related.
It involves the predictive spelling suggestions when typing. I have this problem that a lot of words were added that's misspelled so this leads to me using them a lot of times over and over again. I want to either open the list end edit them or, failing that, delete it totally and start afresh, this time trying to spell correctly. (yeah, right!) Even though the dictionary works, it has now been contaminated with misspelled words and when typing on the fly, or in a hurry, the misspelled words gets the prominent suggestion spot in the middle and then you tend to select it....
Hope my brief explanation makes sense. Let me know if I need to explain anything else or even try to add screen shots.
Nevermind, I'm such a lazy ass! I found it!
If you go to phone settings - Language & Input - Xperia Keyboard - Use my writing style - My words.
Voila!! There is the list and you can delete everything or just the ones that's wrong!

[Q] L keyboard

I feel like a f-in idiot, but I can't figure out how the autocorect works on the new keyboard. In KK it was clear when it's about to correct a word, when it adds a new one to the dictionary and what it suggest to autocomplete. Now it feels like a coin toss. I did the tutorial and still don't get it.
Sometimes it prompts me to "tap again to add to dictionary" when I backspace to a wrongly corrected word, sometimes it seems to add it by itself and sometimes it just refuses to add it and still corrects it the next time I write it.
There seems to be a meaning to the position (left, right or center) of the suggested word, but I don't get that either. Some of the suggested words are bolded and sometimes there's a little arrow thingy below. I set the autocorrection to mild, but it still drives me mad.
And I know I can download X keyboard from the market, I just want to figure this one out since it seems good enough for my needs.
If somebody figured it out, please share!

Book cover keyboard key mapping

I have the new keyboard book cover with my Tab s4. The input language is set to UK but keys like the pound sign and @ sign are not mapped to the appropriate keys. Is there a driver issue or am I missing something?
Thanks
I don't see that issue here, but I'm English US on my end. I did switch to UK English, and I see what you're saying that's odd. I kind of understand the pound (# vs £), but the @ issue seems super strange to me. Have you reached out to Samsung? There might need to be some kind of software update from their end.
For that matter, I hope they drop the "Shift+Space" for language selection. There's already a language key, so aside from it being pointless, it messes me up a lot when I don't let go of Shift fast enough after typing "I". I thought I was going crazy for a bit until I figured that out. lol
I assume the book cover is the original one from Samsung so in order to set up the proper layout check the settings "General management / Language and input/ language/ English (united kingdom)" that the language is English (United Kindgom). Also, go to the physical keyboard "General management / Language and input/ language/Physical Keyboard/ Samsung Keyboard (Uk)". That's the way I have it and works flawlessly. Let me know if that works.
I thought this thread was about actual key remapping. I'd love to remap that language key to something more useful, like getting to the home screen. I'd also like to remap the language shortcut, ctrl+space. And lastly, I keep hitting ] instead of backspace, and it's driving me nuts. Any idea if these keys are remappable?
This app might help, there's a free demo version.
