[Q] Android 2.3.7 - call forward status when switching on the phone - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Is there any system setting in Android 2.3 to config so that the call forwarding status can be shown on the notification bar whenever I start the machine?
I was using Hero (stock rom - android 2.1 with HTC sense) and, when I turn on the phone there is an icon on the notification bar if call forwarding is on.
Now I am using the custom rom (Elelinux-7.1-Hero-Custom-v2) and I have to go through the following path manually to check the status.
Setting -> Call settings -> Call forwarding
Thanks.
Michael

Anyone?
I don't mind installing app to achieve this.

[Q] No notification icon for sms

Hi
Having some problems when receiving sms messages, I don't get a notification icon. Im currently using Handcent but if i use Go SMS i get the same problem. I've gone to the stock message settings and unticked and re-ticked the 'receive notifications icon' but still no joy.
The strange thing is now and again the icon will decide to pop when I'm actually in the message.
Spec,
HTC Desire HD
Android version 2.3.3
Sense 3.0
Software No 1.24.401.1
Kernel Version 2.6.35.13-RCMIX-3D-4.3.3-CFS-g2c9e9c8
This has happened to me in the past and i had to format to sort it out.
Any ideas?

[Q] CyanogenMod7-Notifications

Running CM7 (SGSII ATT)
I cannot seem to find how to make my phone vibrate when I recieve a text message, or have the message notification display on top of apps when I'm in a other app. (e.g. the only way for me to see if I have a message is to go back to the desktop)
Any help here would be appreciated.
Has anybody figured out how to get the notifications to beep while on call?

[Q] Automatically clear notifications

I've been google'ing and puzzling for hours to get something like this to work.
Basically the whole idea is:
I'm using MissedIt! and i only want to see these notifications.
I can disable SMS notifications by it's settings, but it automatically disables sound notifications too, which i don't want.
I cannot disable missed call notification by any setting.
I can use Tasker to clear the sms and missed call notifications automatically by simply opening the phone log / sms app and retuning back to the home screen, but then the MissedIt! notifications are ofcourse also gone ;-).
So, basically; i no longer want to see notification texts/icons in the status bar, but i still wanna hear the notification sounds.
When i clear the message from the notification bar, MissedIt! still shows a missed 'event', which i want.
How on earth, are these notifications to be stopped / cleared, automatically!??
Any Tasker idea's for this one?

bumpppppppp
This is possible if you flash a 4.1 rom. Go to settings -> apps -> click on the app -> uncheck enable notifications.

[Q][SOLVED] Android 5.1 : I don't get any SMS notification from one contact

Hello,
I'm using Android 5.1.1 (unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1) on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
When I receive a text message, I get a notification (ringtone + vibration + icon in notification bar + LED flashing…) except for ONE contact, for which I don't get ANY notification. I need to manually open the SMS app to see their messages.
If I get another SMS from another contact before checking, the notification area will display both messages though.
I actually behaves as if I had filtered out notification for that contact only, but :
1- I don't remember how I could do that
2- I checked every notification option I could think of, to no avail…
As a last resort, I'm asking you guys here… How can I reactivate notifications for that contact ?
I found the solution, so I'll answer to myself : resetting the SMS app to default parameters solved the problem, as it seemed to be circumvented to that app (I did not lose my messages).
I still don't know how I ended up in that situation though…
