I am brand new to all this rooting and such. I just rooted my 2.3.4 Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro SK17i using EasyTool by DoomLord. I was wondering how to add custom ROMS. I downloaded Rom Manager and there isn't a CWM for my phone. I am not sure what to do. Like I said I am a complete noob when its comes to all this "kernel" and "command" and such. I want to install CM7.1. Please can anyone link to me toa easy tutorial or such. Plus what is "flashing".

Can froyo be installed in xperia mini pro? I am new to android and i dont have much knowledge on android except i have completed my hello world tutorial two days back.

hi yal i am getting my mini tonight (hopefully) and i am darn excited so just wondering how easy it is to root/cwm/UBL/xrecovery a mini?
1.can i use flashtool to root and xrecovery my phone? is there anything that i should look out for before i root my phone?
2.Can i use s1 tool to Unlock BL my phone ? is there a guide for it for mini? i cant find a s1 tool guide for the mini but for other phones like the w8/x8
3.cwm ...i never learned to install cwm on a android ...so for mini i should use extreme tweaker yes?
4.what are the best roms for the mini?
5.what are the best kernel for the mini? and how to install a kernel?i never tried b4 since my w8 got hard brick when i tried to
6.what are the best rom and kernel combo?
7.incase i bricked my phone can i use pcc to recover it?
8.what are the chances of me bricking my mini? and what action will cause a brick?

Hello! I have CM7 installed on my xperia x10 mini. When i was browsing through the forum i saw that is possible to multiboot roms on one phone. So i wanted to give it i try. I downloaded the CWM multiboot zip and i tried to install it through CWM Recovery but i had no luck. I could not install it. Does anyone knows what to do and how to install CWM multiboot zip? Any step by steps? Thanks!!!
for what i understand, X10 series, (X10 mini, X10 mini pro) do not support multiboot, only xperia mini and xperia mini pro (newer generations). but please someone correct me if i'm wrong...

Thx for your reply! I was asking this only because i saw a picture of xperia x10 that looks the same as mine,and i have x10 mini E10i. And on those pics you can clearly see a multiboot option.

hmm first it was toally risk and u want more space on ur memory card than ur memory card must be a above class 6

Hello XDA, I am a newbie about ROM's, flashing, rooting and other stuff about phones.
A few days ago I rooted my Xperia X10 mini (E10i) with DooMLorD toolkit. Then I unlocked my bootloader.
After that I flashed nAa gingerbread kernel. After that my phone booted into recovery, and installed a custom ROM, but I didn't read the tutorial
carefully ... I flashed a Xperia X10 Mini Pro ROM.
The phone looks fine, the ROM works quite well ...
But is it safe to keep the ROM?
They are same. In x10 mini pro ROM there are files into system for hard keyboard nothing more I think but lets someone more into this answer you too
