Replaceable 5.0 batteries??? - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Does Samsung even have these for sale to the public or do you gotta send in your player when it starts failing?
I dont know why the battery couldnt be like the 4.0" model

+1, just plain stupid. Wonder if you pried it apart, if there's a replaceable battery inside. I'm chicken, don't want to gouge the surface.

I'll be looking for this too.
If you find any batteries or replacement kits like they have for the Ipod let us know. I'll do the same.

Is samsung even selling replacement batteries for the 4.0 inch model ???

looking for site that selling spare part of battery of 5.0 model.
to remove back cover I think maybe use the same method like galaxy tab
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-Teardown/4103/1
but haven't find any site sell battery of this model.

Anyone find anything further about where to get replaceable 5.0 batteries??

[Q] Galaxy S2 Extended Battery Cover

I have seen this posted in another thread:
http://www.amazon.de/Samsung-EEB-U2...rd_r=1T0CKA0P8A9J2RFRYPPC&tag=vglnk-de-c80-21
its a extended battery case for samsung galaxy S2.
But so far i cant find it on any UK sites:'(
As i cannot read German if anyone can, can you please tell me if this will ship worldwide?
Would love to get one of these!
Hi,
I couldn't open German website, but for this you can go to google uk and type in "Genuine Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 Extended Battery Case" in search. Click on Mobilefun website. Sorry I can't post links
Plz fix your link, its wrong because it has multiple dots in it!

Link Fixed. Should work now
Personally i think you'd have to be an idiot to buy it..... a spare battery would be a lot cheaper.....
Well, it isn't shipping yet, nor does it say when it will ship.
Shipping to UK is €6 + €0,50 / kg which makes €7 tops (don't know what box it'll be in)
So it'll be €60,20, which is about 52,32 BP.
"Dieser Artikel ist noch nicht verfügbar." means it isn't shipping, so when it disappears you should be able to order it.

I have to agree an after-market battery may last longer and be a lot cheaper, besides this is kinda ugly to look at and adds so much bulk to the phone.

I have to disagree. After-market batteries almost never has the advertised mAh-capacity and therefore I would guess that after-market batteries would not exceed the capacity of the built in battery and this extended cover, which gives you 2950mAh total.
A 3000+mAh after-market battery is bound to be very thick, making the phone much thicker than this cover. With the cover the battery is thinner but spread out over a larger surface area, on after-market batteries they would have to be the same dimensions as the original battery, just thicker.
A large bump on the back of the phone is uglier than a protective shell around the phone, but that's just my opinion.
With a large after-market battery you are "doomed" to walk around with the extra thickness on the phone all the time. With the case you can use it to charge the phone and just leave the cover in the car/backpack/office etc.
As people who bothered to read my post would guess, I'm buying the cover

An OEM battery will be less than half the price of that extended case monstrosity......
It looks like its a piggy back job hooking into the existing USB charge port.
So you actually end up with a longer phone, not so much fatter, but longer.
Would be good to see in person. Should almost double the life, which as we know can be pretty short if you are messing about on the screen for any length of time!
You can see how it attaches if you go to the German amazon site. Would like to see in person tho to see how much bigger it makes the phone.
Id like the battery case but also the official Samsung dock ( ECR-D1A2BETSY)
(oops..hit submit by mistake on the last msg)
...but i am wondering if the phone Will fit in the dock with the extended case.. Since they are both official Samsung products, I am hoping it will...any thoughts?
Genuine one is on preorder at mobilefun.co.uk
Customer services told me it lands in 3 weeks

Has anyone tried a power case yet?

Searched to see if anyone had mentioned this yet, but didn't find anyone talking about it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/External-32...099120?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cc475e7b0
I am very interested in this case. Will probably order one, but was hoping someone had tried one already and could give their thoughts on it. You can see my thoughts on the extended battery I already have at this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24815396&postcount=14
I think this power case option looks much better than the lump I have now.
I really like the idea of putting the extra battery capacity into the case. I saw this a long time ago for the iPhone, and was hoping that someone would come out with this for our phone, and they did, but not as nice as some I have seen for the iPhone. I would like one that wrapped around onto the face a little bit, for some protection when I put the phone face down.
Anyone seen any other companies making similar ones for our phone yet?
The case you linked is for the wrong Note. Look for the I717 (ATT Note), not the N7000 (international version).
There is a difference in the back design between the two phones.

This doesn't replace the battery door, so it should work fine. Unless you know of some other difference I am not aware of. I have used about 3 different international versions of bumpers/surrounds/cases on my i717 without any issue. A problem only happens when you try to use the wrong battery door.
I think it will fit perfectly on the US note. It is simply a case and all cases i have bought so far weren't for the US note but fit perfectly.
If this is good quality then this is something I might look at too. I like the fact that it will add more battery life and protect the Note in one item. Please post how it works once you get it.

Is it additive?
So plug this on the back and I get 5700 mAh? Since it doesn't replace the back cover, see no difference between International and US version.
Don't buy it i bought one it doesn't have that size battery, if you open it up it actually has a 2000mah battery so it really is a 1600 may since its Chinese i bought one for my galaxy s2 from same guy and the battery was half the size stated on case. Pure junk

[Q] How do I identify a genuine or non-genuine S2 battery?

It seems like most of the ones on ebay are actually advertising themselves genuine, which is doubtful considering the prices they're selling for.
Compare the build/size/exterior labeling to a genuine one. If it's got the exact same exterior, I honestly doubt you can tell for absolute certain. However, in my experience, Samsung batteries are always at or very very close to rated capacity. If a battery isn't anywhere near rated capacity yet has Samsung labeling on the exterior, you can either assume it's a knockoff or it's a bad genuine battery which you'd return/get a replacement for in either situation.
And obviously the way you can get a rough guide on capacity is by using a battery app to compare how many mV you have on a full charge with a genuine Samsung battery & one that looks genuine but you believe is a knockoff.
Edit - Yep, price is normally a dead giveaway too. Tho genuine SGS2 batteries can be had fairly cheaply sometimes (say $25-30 Vs $35-$40 normally as an example, if it's $15 it's almost certainly a knockoff. I wouldn't buy one without the chance to examine it & test it with the ability to get a refund if I wasn't happy with it (Which I did with an OEM battery once; wasn't advertised as genuine tho).
In trying to find a genuine 2000mah Samsung for myself, I ended up paying a little extra ($40ish) off eBay for one which is as described by MistahBungle. As a side note, if you have an i9100 as opposed to s2 variant, don't touch it unless its product code is K1A2EBEGSTD. Not sure about the product codes for s2 variants.
Edit: also note that the above code is for the 2000mah battery, not the standard 1650

I ended up buying what *looks* like a retail, official, genuine Samsung battery from ebay (so hopefully not as expensive as buying from a shop). It's not worth risking it for a non-genuine, they last like 2 weeks and die.
Wise move & exactly what I thought after I had that one experience with a non-genuine battery. Pay a bit extra for the genuine article, it just plain works.
(FWIW, the prices I was referring to are for genuine 2000mAh batteries, you can get genuine 1650mAH batteries for surprisingly good prices -~14 Euro)

In addition to that you should also check the weight of the battery. There original one weights about 33 gramms while non-genuine ones often weight only about 25 grams (and obviously have less capacity).
Yep great point

It's also easy to judge if you simply use it for a couple of days and see how long it lasts on a singe charge. A genuine battery will work for a good couple of days. A fake will be dead in a day.

What's the most useful Samsung accessory for Note 3?

Hey all, I have a 50% off (anything under $50) coupon from Samsung for registering my Note 3. It's been sitting in my inbox for a month and a half now. I've browsed the Samsung accessory shop, but nothing really jumped out at me.
Is there any 'must have' accessory?
If I don't find anything, I'll probably just give the code away here. No sense in wasting it.
Mods: I know this is a question, but it's a question specifically about accessories, so I figured it belongs here. But move it if you feel otherwise.
i bought an extra battery for $20. its nice to have plus authentic direct from samsung. there are cheaper ones but i don't like messing with 3rd party batteries.

Droidavie, read topic post first. Pebble is not samsung.
Cables and chargers! The samsung cables are so nice and sturdy, grab a battery too!
A battery charger and battery. Even though the battery easily gets me through the day, it's super convenient to just change batteries when it's time instead of having to keep the phone tied to a charger for a couple of hours.

Wires, Charger, earphones, car charger, S-View Case with Wireless Charging, Wireless Charging pads.
Unfortunately I already have all of these, and have much better earphones. So I too have 2 50% discounts with me with no use. Note that it is valid only for 90 days from when you registered.
Unfortunately, both codes I have are just older than 90 days. I don't know if it still works, and I have no use for it. I just saw the expiry after I saw this thread.
I am posting the discount codes here, so anyone may try. I am not claiming them to work.
If it works, it is 1st come 1st serve. Let me know if it does. Thanks.
Discount codes:
1) rM7M713
2) r03IY93

Doesn't add bulk.
Preserves screen for resale value

extended battery kit still possible to get?

It's nowhere to be found on the internet.
its almost impossible to find extended battery for Samsung Galaxy Alpha. i dont care for the back look of the phone therfore i attacted the Motorola Turbo battery on the back of the Samsung Alpha. now it gives more then 5 days standby and more then 2 days on full gaming of surfing on WIFI.
Regards.
Can you show some pics? How did you connect it to the phone?
So is there still any 2500 mAh battery available for Alpha? I've seen few chinese ones on ebay, but not sure if it's safe to use...
How much would you pay for one? I'm selling my galaxy alpha, can sell baterry separately

You have this extended battery kit? How long used?
Yup, I'm not sure. Need to check at home when exactly I bought the handset, but at least year and a half ago. Rubber came off a little bit in the up corners of the back cover. I'll try to attach some pics later.

ok! I just hope it's better than my 1600 mah
Not able to find one, can any one help me is there any way to get it in India?
A friend of mine bought exactly this battery:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bateria-Int...954252?hash=item2cbb1f56cc:g:hmsAAOSwax5YuFxS
And I believe it is not a fake capacity 2200mah it doesn't support NFC though, but is slightly thicker and fits very tight in the slot. He's been using it for nearly half a year now and it lasts for 1,5-2 days when fully charged.
They seem to be as extinct as dodos, spoken to all known suppliers in the UK and cant find any. I have them in my Alpha and it makes a huge difference.
What I need is the back cover (the 2500mah batteries are slightly thicker so have a special back to cater for the extra thickness, a standard back cover wont fit with 2500mah battery) if anyone has any of those, would be willing a pay a premium for 1 or 2 of them.
