Chance to WIN 2 Transformer Primes + Docks and 1 Original Transformer + Dock + Sleeve - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hey everyone,
I'm working as a CampusRep for ASUS Computers at Cornell University and was hoping you could all help me out.
ASUS Holiday Contest
You can enter to win TWO Transformer Primes
Here is the link http://www.facebook.com/AsusCornell?sk=app_250581868336547. The winner will win TWO Transformer Primes and TWO Keyboard Docks. All you have to do is like the Facebook page and fill out the contest entry form.
As an added bonus (for me) If you get my page to 1000 likes before the other competing pages, I get a Transformer Prime too!
I'll need your help and reshares so that we can win.
PLUS if I get those 1000 likes I'll also give away my Original Asus Transformer w/ Keyboard Dock and Sleeve!
THAT'S THREE TRANSFORMERS!

Facebook is the ultilmate stalking device. Also find it strange if this is a competition of college reps why there are not hudreds of similar competing posts

Part of our job is to use social media (i.e. Facebook) to promote our page cause, let's be honest, the majority of college students have Facebook.

There are not hundreds of Campus Reps. Maybe 30 or so and maybe some others don't post here on XDA. I thought it would be a good way to get some more followers and give everyone eligible to enter to win a few prizes.

Wish it was for Google+ instead of Facebook. I can't bring myself to sign into that horrible site, even to enter a contest. Good luck though.

Registered to win. Thanks for the opportunity!
PS.
You probably should have used Google+ for this giveaway, considering its an Android device it would have made some sense.

Trust me, if it was up to me I would have made it on Google+. Thing is, ASUS made our Facebook pages and made the contest online via Facebook.
Thanks for the help though and the suggestion.

Seeing a great increase in the number of "likes" almost to the point where I'm thinking of adding another prize. I have a BNIB Kindle Fire that I'm thinking of throwing in for an XDA member if my page gets to 1000 likes first.
I need everyone's help though.
1.) How will I know if the person that "liked" the page is Ann XDA member?
2.) How will the winner be chosen?
Feedback its important.

Forsome reason that makes me wantto check ASUS's Twitter

Easiest way would be to email the winners and ask for their XDA username, send a message to them to confirm.

Awesomeness! I entered, but what's with the list of schools? :/ There's no UCLA!

Just entered, even though I hate FB.

All I have to do to enter is leave a comment on facebook page?

No there is an entry form to enter to win the Two Transformer Primes and if my page gets 1000 likes first then I'll give away my original Transformer, Dock, and Sleeve to one winner and then a BNIB Kindle Fire to only an XDA member. XDA members can win both Transformer and Kindle Fire
Here is what i wrote on the other thread in the TF Prime section.
GarJones27 said:
Well I was thinking that there would be two different winners. One winner (Original Transformer) out of all the "likes" on my page and then the other winner (Kindle Fire) would be out of the "likes" from XDA members. Additionally, XDA members will still be eligible gor the Original Transformer.
As for the second question it could be a random generator for the Transformer prize and maybe the same for the Kindle Fire. Or maybe choose from those people who post on this thread (and the one in the General section of the original Transformer) as another member mentioned.
So keep the "likes" coming and please share and repost so others can see. Remember, the extra prizes from me (i.e. Original Transformer and Kindle Fire will only be given away if my page reached 1000 likes first. The two Transformer Primes are randomly chosen regardless of likes though, just fill the entry form.

UPDATE (12/5/11):
Just to update everyone, another rep already reached 1000+ likes on his Asus Campus page meaning that the deal for my OG Transformer + Dock + Sleeve is off the table...
BUT!
If I am in the top 3 reps with the most entries in the contest I will get a minor incentive AND if I am in the top 6 reps with the most new Facebook likes between December 1-15 then I will get another minor incentive.
What this means is that I want to give back for those helping me. Here are the possible gift scenarios.
If I get both of these goals then I will still honor my Kindle Fire giveaway to one member of XDA.
If I reach the first goal (top 3 reps with most entries) only then I will giveaway some other prize TBD.
If I reach the second goal (top 6 reps with most new likes) only then I will giveaway a Wintech 16GB Class 10 microSD card.
All prizes will include Asus swag bag with two t-shirts, pens, and a Lamborghini 2GB Flash Drive.
Thanks again for all those who have helped and please go to AsusCornell to enter to win a TF Prime for you and someone of your choosing!

I will probably enter the contest as well.
However to answer your questions.
How will you know if they are an XDA member, simple, upon deciding the winner you ask them if they are.
If they are and have an existing account then great, they win the extra prizes, this way no one can accuse you of fudging the winner to make sure it is an XDA member.
If they are not a member of they created the account after you ask them then they do not get the extra prizes, make sure that it is clear that they must be an existing XDA member.
As for how to choose the winner, that is rather easy as well.
After all of the likes and contest entries are in, use any of the random number generators available out there and set it to choose from 1 to whatever number of entries there is, run it 3 times, then use the mean or median to find the winner.
Or even better...make it someone who comments on this thread. (There have to be some sort of rules against this on XDA...)
if you want 1000 likes. i'll get you 1000 likes.

New Prime announced, so it's time to new petition to Asus!

Hi friends
The time has come for the revolution. In connection with the way the Asus treats its customers I think we should start a revolution and a massive public campaign on the back cover replacement programme or any other solution to the problem of weak WiFi and/or GPS in Transformer Prime. The Internet is the power they are afraid of.
Asus' President would be very interested in the situation. He would like to know the way his company treats its customers.
We have to let him know... We have to make a change

From slash gear, it appears that the only changes are
-1080p
-2mp camera instead of 1.3
-changed back plate
I already got really good, constant wifi connection
My BT works fine with my Game pad and my Galaxy Note
I'm own phone, there's no need for a GPS
1080p = More battery drain for something that only Prime users will notice the diff.

This is not a 7 inch version this is a 10.1. If you look at the back it is the exact one we need to make the prime work. So my opinion is they knew that aluminum was flawed but decided to leave it on. Then release this to fix it. While everyone wasted their hard earned money so they could be the first tegra 3 on the market.
They should upgrade us for free to the new one. Also it is still puzzling why the tf101 is going for the same price as before the prime came out.

I actually like the design, thought it would get alot worse and i think i'll take one But they could have made another port on the back side somehow, so you could plug in the charging cable while the dongle is attached.

I expect a newer case with this dongle incorporated into the design. I also hope there is a possibility of a pass thru charging port.
P.S. is Asus just giving us TFP owners this for nothing? Is there a mailing list out that we have to sign up to get it?

More information will be posted in the "Unofficial ASUS" sticky tomorrow (4/16), and a sign-up form will be available then. It's going to be free, and available to every Prime owner (at least in the US, but probably worldwide).

Yeah I have friends that know that I would never own a device running ios and they still asked if they could look at my new ipad
People, people, people...
You're not taking advantage of a great opportunity here. When they ask 'Is that the new iPad?' say 'Yes - would you like to look at it..'
Show them how cool it is.. how easy to use it is... if you have the demo games, how well it plays high end games. If you have the dock, show them how it plugs in.. etc...
Then when they're all excited... imagine the moment they walk into a Best Buy or even better, Apple Store and try to buy a new iPad with a dock...
*heeheehee*
Sidenote: when I have it in the dock, I get asked 'is that a netbook?' and then I detach the tablet, which looks like you're tearing it off - which just freaks some people.
Be sure to look angry and make a ripping sound when you do it.
"Is that an iPad?'
"No it's thinner, lighter, and more powerful than an iPad."
FACT.

Why hasn't Asus just gone ahead and issued a recall for the Prime?
It would alleviate SO MANY problems by allowing everyone to return the Prime and get their money back. It would be customer friendly...

ASUS=Big Company, once they have your money they could care less about you, and their garbage device. Besides from their standpoint its to expensive to recall such an old device, especially since they are ignoring its problems.

+1 on the prime recall. It should have been done. It's not that fair that people that purchased them from best buy or amazon got to take them back while the rest of us are stuck. It should have been recalled as soon as the all metal back became a problem. It is a crappy design.

U mad bro?
Listen, in all honesty, thanks for thread crapping and the display of your Paint prowess.
But I would reserve the jackass button for you Joe since you have your companies stuff linked on your profile. Just look at clickonpc.com, its social media presence, its... everything.
Now, if you could go fester in a different pile, lets get a real discussion and maybe input into a recall so that some of us dont get stuff in endless RMA circles.

Why hasn't Asus just gone ahead and issued a recall for the Prime?
It would alleviate SO MANY problems by allowing everyone to return the Prime and get their money back. It would be customer friendly...

As much as we would all like the Prime to be recalled... It would also be logical to think that as much Asus would like to solve all of our problems, what's in for them to do that when you've got your money already in their hands ( At least in a direct monetary aspect)
But one would also consider that building a good reputation would carry sales up from consumer trust
Oh well..
I sent in my prime a month ago for issues and got offered a full refund or extended wait times anyway sitting on $541 for Asus 3rd gen tablets or an actually 10" from Google
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
The reason they don't recall it is cos you touch yourself at night...
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
We already had that topic...
