[APP] SwiftKey X on Sale for $.10 in Market - HTC Amaze 4G

SwiftKey X is on sale for ten cents right now in the Android Marketplace. It's a really nice keyboard program that uses your Facebook, Twitter & contacts to do better predictive typing and is highly customizable. Great deal, not sure how long it will last but the regular price is $3.99.

Yeah I love these offers, but got really pissed off because I was purchasing one of those app and my connection turned off for no reason and now I can download it

Vibrant vs. Blackberry Curve

Im one of those people who need to get a new phone every few months and after hacking playing with the vibrant for some time its awesome. However the vibrant wwas going to be my permanent phone but now with everyone getting blackberrys it makes me want to get one just for bbm. I know theres apps such as kik and ping but not the real deal. I have simple mobile (t-mobile for those who havent heard of it)rright now unlimited everything for 60 a month. I would probaly get an umlimited boost mobile blackberry plan for the same exact prize no tax or anything. Would you stay with the vibrant or get a blackberry. Or wait till the new ish*t comes out and ssee if it brings a new chat service?

Dude, Vibrant. No contest. Not even kidding. I had a Curve for a year. Total lack of games and apps. Little screen. The web browser is horrible. If you wanna "be like everyone else", I'd rather you get an iPhone.
Trust me. Blackberry = Bleh.
BBM is not worth it. All of those people's BB's come built in with gtalk on it. Use gtalk to talk to them. It's the same thing. The only difference is BBM makes you have a pin number.

How was the bbm for you
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I've had a total of 3 blackberries and none of them compare to the Vibrant or even a G1 (seriously). The lack of good free apps, the lack of touch screen, the screen isn't big enough, blackberries tend to get real sluggish over time, the lack of full customization etc. I can go on for years. The one thing I love about blackberry is that its phones are luxurious looking. In a way its somewhat exotic. At least in my opinion.

I'm telling you, you'd be sorry. I wouldn't even trade a G1 for another blackberry and I'm being honest. They're nice phones for business purposes or showing off to older women. If you do decide to trade let me know your thoughts after you do so.
Just curious, do you live in NY? Everybody in NY is crazy for blackberries. Bbm is the new movement in NY for whatever reason.

I figured that's why you're interested in trading. If I was you and I really wanted to know what its like to have the blackberry over the Vibrant I'd just trade with a friend for a day. I'm pretty sure you know someone with a blackberry and I'm more than willing to bet they'd have no problem with trading for the day or forever for the Vibrant.

At least but the 3G version. You can hack it to receive/make calls, and you can send/receive messages stock. As rarely as you use these, they're critical in some situations.

I wouldn't spend more than $250.00 on one today. But yeah, it's a great little tablet. I love mine and think there's plenty of life lieft in the o'l girl. Also, it's the only 7" option if pen support is on your list.
That's precisely what it use mine for and it excels in that area. I wanted a reasonably procedure tab with decent specs and honeycomb. It succeeded in all these areas.

I have X but been using Beta instead, one thing I don't like about the beta is that they took out the ? key and put it under periods key. Other then that, keyboard have been awesome, like if you type few words together without spacing, it will show up in the suggestion box and space those words out for you.
I always miss typing the space in X so I really like that feature in the Beta. I got X for free from the Amazon Store, but I read that if you bought X from Google SwiftKey will give you 3 when it's out of beta.
Word of warning, if you don't want to pay, don't use the beta because you'll fall in love with it and have to buy it when it's out of beta. It won't be free forever.

well why would they release it before the One? if they want the phone out there, it seems like post-One is the way to go. You get people to buy your flagship first. If there are others who didnt want the flagship or just never even considered it because of price, then they'll be up for this phone. Many who would buy the mini would have never bought the One in the first place, but you have to lead with your flagship.

Yeah it should be free. HTC is probably doing to make some money from this because people will think its a smaller HTC One. Its not. It's **** that looks the same.
Free? Why would it be free? The phone makes total sense... Once the max comes out they'll have a perfect line of One devices. Small, Medium, and Large.
There has to be some differences in specs between the three.
And why wright the specs off as crappy? They almost match the moto x at half the price. And there's plenty of reviews that say the mini runs great.

Well I ended up getting the HTC First for my wife and a mini for the grandkid (she's paying for it).
It shouldn't take long to get Facebook disabled on the First. She been using an iPhone the past 2 years, so plain Android should be fine for her.

My cousin just got the One Mini and the first thing she said about it is it's the same size as an iPhone. It's her first Android phone and so far no complaints. It's just a watered down One but it is quite smooth and snappy for those specs plus its got the front speakers and most of the perks of the One. For a mid range phone, it sure can't be beaten!
