Screen Protector - HTC Titan

I'm trying to decide which will be a better fit for a screen protector. Right now, there really seems to be only two contenders. The Zagg and the Skinomi, links provided. I know there are generic protectors but I'm looking for the "best of class" for this beast. Anyone have any suggestions before I scratch this baby?

I personally hate the wet type of protectors for the screen. It messes up the smoothness of the touchscreen & your fingers don't glide over it easily (especially the tacky feeling Zaggs. Those are the worst).
Go with the dry ones (the kind that use static cling to stick). I ordered the REALOOK protector from Amazon that gets good reviews on their other devices. Should be here in a day or two. They feel as smooth as glass.

I guess it's a matter of preference. I had a Zagg on my Focus for a year now, and it works great for me. It does give the screen a more "grippy" feel though, but I actually like that. If you want it to feel slick, I probably wouldn't go with the wet style. Another plus for the wet though is that it's pretty much invisible when applied. You won't get any peeling or bubbling like a dry protector. A lot of screen protectors are quite noticeable when they're put on a phone.
Reading the Realook reviews on Amazon shows they get mostly great reviews. I might have to give them a try one day. For now, I'll stick with Zagg though. It just arrived yesterday, and my phone should be in by Thursday, so it'll be the first thing I install.

AT&T
I got the one from AT&T from there website and LOVE LOVE the feel it gives.
Just enough Drag to feel comfortable.

wrapsol makes some good ones as well. haven't decided what to get yet...

Got from tmart (can't post a link yet)
search ror item BD005788
Not bad at all

Brando Ultra Clear is the best.

got the htc one from clove technology.excellent fit

My Realook screen protectors came in today. I held off on installing the Zagg to try these. I can say, this is probably the most crystal clear protector I've ever put on a phone. It is 100% invisible.
So what's the con. The fit is so exact, they must have measured in microns. It still bubbles up at the extreme top right corner because it's hitting the small ridge that loops the front face. I definitely ding it for that. I guess if you have robo eyes and can place this thing on exactly, and I do mean EXACTLY, it would be the best protector I've seen. I can't see any blank space what so every, but it's still not on 100%.
The screen is slightly less slippery which I like too. It gives it a better feel. For the price, I think it's worth it. Besides, even if it peels off, you still have a second one to apply.

Yep, got mine in too. And I agree. Its almost TOO perfect, meaning they cut this thing so there's hardly ZERO room for error when applying. I actually ended up scrapping the first one I applied (it comes w two) because I wasn't satisfied with the slight bubble in the corner.
But I FINALLY managed to install the second one perfectly. Now its amazing & 100% perfect. Thank God, cause it freakin took forever. You really have to have patience when applying these. Be sure to stick a small piece of scotch tape on the bottom side so you can peel it up easily, because you're going to be doing that a lot to get it to seat just right.

I installed the maximum body Zagg and the screen protector turned out perfect. I've installed zaggs on LG Quantum, and Samsung Focus so I had some practice. For some reason the Titan zagg seems better quality than the ones installed on the other phones. I'm really not seeing any orange peel. I also put on the case mate tough case and doesn't mess up the zagg protection at all. For the Titan I love the Zagg

I never liked the grabbiness of the Zagg protectors. I ordered the ATT offered two-pack not knowing they were the full on glare reducing version. At first, it was a little too much, but the glare reduction seems to settle in a bit with use. OR my eyes are used to it now, but I quite like it after using it for a while. I matches the matte finish of the phone.
That said, I do want a screen protector that doesn't have anti-glare made by the same people as the ATT Samsung Focus version. Super slick, was pretty tough. Anyone know the vendor that made it for ATT?

"Orange peel" - that's a good description of my Focus Zagg screen protector. It didn't bother me though. I still have my Zagg in my drawer if the Realook craps out, but I don't think so.

I just bought the Skinomi Carbon Fiber full body kit that comes with a screen protector and really like it.
One BIG problem though: The Carbon Fiber back skin seems to have killed my signal strength. I now get no service instead of 3 bars? It covers the whole back of the phone. Even the plastic antennae area.

I'm surprised that it would kill your signal strength. I would check the metal contacts on the back case and the phone to make sure everything is touching and seated properly. Someone else in the forum tried that, and it fixed their problem.

I'm using atFolix anti-glare screen protector, it's brilliant get improved contrast and it's finger print resistant!

Ok I'll answer my own question! Curiosity got better of me so decided to get Rock Naked Screen Protector AF & AG, and sure enough it's clearer then atFolix anti-glare screen no frost effect!
So if anyone's interested here are the Pros and Cons between the two screen protectors:
atFolix anti-glare got it from here http://www.amazon.co.uk/atFoliX-FX-...0VSQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330083294&sr=8-1 :
Pros:
- Easy to fit
- Perfectly fits the screen of the Titan no gaps!
- Excellent anti-glare and anti-fingerprint
Cons:
- You lose sharpness of the display and get frosted glass effect on close inspection!
- Easily scratches!
Rock Naked Screen Protector AF & AG got it from here http://www.obostore.com/rock-anti-f...ed-screen-protector-for-htc-titan-p-3597.html :
Pros:
- Good anti-glare and anti-fingerprint
- You don't lose sharpness of display i.e. no frosted glass effect
Cons:
- Fiddly to put on!
- Not a perfect fit for Titan about 1mm gap around screen!
- Easily Scratches
For me between the two I prefer the Rock Naked Screen Protector over atFolix losing screen sharpness/frosted glass effect was too much of a compromise!

anti glare for the screen?

Has anyone bought an anti glare protector for the screen? I know there is a screen protector topic but they were more focus on just protecting the screen and not about anti glare.
acuralegendz said NuShield anti glare protector was only ok. I rather not pay 25 dollars for an average product.
I also saw link to Lexerd - Viewsonic G Tablet TrueVue Anti-Glare but I havnt heard any reviews on it yet.
I just ordered it yesterday from Amazon, as soon as it's in I'll be happy to let you know.

I am going to assume that you are talking about the Lexerd - Viewsonic G Tablet TrueVue Anti-Glare. Can you test it in sunlight and indoor light? Thanks a lot
Yes I am, and yes I will be happy to. I don't think it will be here until the end of the week though so will be a few days.
i just installed this screen protector and I must say that the price is ridiculous for the quality.
It makes the screen quality completely grainy. Maybe I have to let it sit for a few hours.
Nice to the touch, has a mat feel. doesn't seem like it effects the touch sensitivity.
the edges are horrible. I can see it lifted all the way around the entire screen and i have no bubbles or dust around the edges but that will change soon. I just hope that as more dust gets trapped under the lifted edges, it doesn't make it worse over time but we will see.
I'm use to the screen protectors where you apply them on like window tints (Body Guardz brand). Had them on my ZuneHD, Droid1, Doid2. All perfect..Lexerd, not even close.
My opinion is that this screen protector should have been 10 dollars. sucks I got the double pack. sigh.

Thanks for the review stigmax. That sounds horrible even at 10 dollars. FYI there was a one pack of those protectors but little late to tell you that now.
Yea, I knew about the single pack but thought I could save a few bux with the double. After a few hours of use, my eyes got use to the grainy screen
Temp protector I guess, at least I dont have to worry about scratches: )
What I haven't seen elsewhere is that on the "Thank you for purchasing..." sheet that came with the G Tab, it states: "1. The device may come equipped with two anti glare screen protectors over the screen; which should be removed". Huh? Why two? Why remove them. It doesn't make sense. I assume because there is glare, that mine didn't come with them.

Because at some point there were so many returns (at sears and staples) because of claims of a defective screen which later turn to be some air bubbles trapped under the second layer of the screen protector

Anti-Glare
So has anyone found any good Anti-Glare that are not $30? just trying to find a good screen protector and case so I can stand it up and watch movies if need be.
Ever try Photodon?
http://www.photodon.com/p/MXH-5250-01.html seems nice based on their description but wondering if anyone ever tried one.
I ordered this set a couple weeks ago. One is clear and one is anti-glare:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290551331136&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_570wt_1140
They fit the screen perfectly. A little too perfectly actually. It's somewhat difficult to get the protector perfectly straight so that one side or the other doesn't run into the edge of the screen where the edge slightly goes up. I rendered the clear protector relatively useless after attempting to line it up perfectly several times.
Neither of the screen protectors have cut outs for the camera or the light sensor. It doesn't seem to really affect the light sensor, but the anti-glare protector makes the camera pretty much unusable. The camera is fine with the clear protector on.
The reason it makes it unusable is because of how grainy it makes the screen look, and that grain is also visible through the camera. It makes everything blurry. That said, it does a good job of reducing glare as well as a pretty darn good job of cutting down on visible finger prints. I've found that the graininess isn't extremely intrusive for most things. Maybe I've just gotten used to it.
One of the main reasons for purchasing my gTablet was to use it as an eReader for the hundreds of .pdfs I'm required to go through. This is where the grain really becomes troublesome. If it wasn't for the fact that somehow I managed to get the protector on perfectly straight on the first try, I would have already removed it. I'm thinking about ordering another set, cutting out a hole for the camera, and going with the clear protector. I'll make due with some glare here and there and some fingerprints.

I'm curious if you could use a hole puncher to make a hole for the camera? I have not seen this product so I have no idea what it is like or how thick it is but seems like it could be modded with a hole punch if you do the measurements precisely. Anyways, just a thought I had while reading. Thanks for the review.

I bought a matte one and a clear one from Aurum, but fit really well, I think you get get both for under $20. The matte reduces glare and the clear one does not distort the screen. Overall was very happy with the product. The Lexard one and those other "wet" applications ones are a pain in the ass, they also prevent your finger from gliding smoothly on the after application. I got them at Amazon here is the link http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...rum+viewsonic&x=0&y=0&sprefix=aurum+viewsonic

Just called NuShield, as their site does not work well with IE9 when placing orders, and was told they are currently NOT selling an "antiglare" sheet for the gTablet. They only have their "DayVue" product, which does not have anti-glare feature.
However, if you contact them, they very likely would consider making an anti-glare version as they already have a template for the gTablet.
[email protected]
I was just looking at their website and it describes the DayVue as anti-reflective. Straight from the website under Viewsonic GTablet.
NuShield DayVue™ antireflective film is the best choice for displays that are being used outdoors. It has good scratch resistance combined with greatly improved daylight readable optics over our antiglare film.
I don't know if they consider anti-glare and anti-reflective to be different, but it seems like the same to me.
ive got an antiglair, it works well and was only 10$ off amazon but if you like using it for videos it kills them, thinking about removing mine but i have a hard time throwing 10$ away

How about checking the Skinomi thread in this very first page of this section ?
I just orderded some screen protectors from ebay hong kong. 11.99 for 3. ill let you know how they work.
Good Screen Protector
Ordered one from Amazon made by Aurum(do a search). It came quickly and I am very happy with it, wished I waited a few days, they have a deal going on with it.
It says its made from Japanese PET, in my experience it is better than those "military" strength ones like Zagg etc(bad evo 4g experience). This one has a dry application and protected on both top and bottom by covers (a protector for the protector). Ships from the US.
I have the Skinomi. I'm happy with it, but it does not appear to help with glare or screen angles (though, honestly, I only used it for a few minutes before installing the protector).

Go with the Skinomi one. It's cheap (relatively if you consider lifetime free replacement) and if you don't botch the installation it looks fantastic. And... you don't have to wait three weeks for something to come from China.
Don't get me wrong, I buy stuff from China sometimes but only when I can't get it here or if it's a lot more money to get it from here.
Anyone have recommendations for screen protectors? Looking for helping with anti glare and no finger prints on it. Any info would be great. Thank for all the feedback so far.

The Skinomi one requires a WET application, that then has to dry, do you really want to spray some liquid on your new g-tab? I tried this on my Evo installation was a pain but then my fingers got stuck scrolling, so I learned my lesson and stick to the PET material which has a silicone coating for smooth movement
Aurum Screen Protector
You are right, I have the Aurum one from Amazon on my G-tablet, and there are no holes, but I do not see a difference in camera performance. The protector covers bezel to bezel. I've used the camera with and without the protector, all I know is that it is as grainy before as it was after the Aurum screen protector. I do not use the camera(I really do not need anyone getting scared looking at me) so it's fine by me, it the smoothness of movement that matters.
just my $0.02, but why not use the one by Zagg....?..

Thanks for the info, Traderny. Would you say that the Aurum screen protector allows for smoother gliding movements than the unprotected GTab screen? I'm hoping to find something that provides a nice swipe feel. Too often my fingers would "stick" to the naked screen or (less so, but still) the Skinomi protector.
My .2 cents

Wet application screen protectors have been around for a while and it has been shown to not be an issue if you follow the directions on installation. There are thousands of people that have used wet installation screen protectors here in the gTab forums that have reported no residual issues with the gTab during/after application.
Also, you don't spray liquid on the gTab, rather you're supposed to spray the liquid on both sides of the screen protector before application and dab up the excess liquid as you work it to the edges with the provided plastic card.
I've used both PET and this style of screen protectors on devices before and I prefer this over the PET as I have found the PET style protectors to be too shiny for my tastes.
Among the most helpful reviews for the PET protector on Amazon there are these comments:
1.) Good product, but a pain to put on. Just the slightest piece of dust will cause an air bubble.
2.) According to the packaging, this item is "Finger print free" and "Bubble free application". I experienced both. I would NEVER purchase this product again or recommend it.
Just goes to show you that people will find something to complain about no matter what the product is.
Protectors Protect
My experience with screen protectors on cell phones is that they are only good to protect the screen from damage. All of them will show fingerprints, smudges, grease and oil. This is esp. true with a touch screen. it's like wearing glasses you got to clean them alot. So save time money and headache by putting a microfiber cloth in the bag with your Gtab.
I went with the Exim anti-glare screen protectors, but did have to wait for shipping from China. I bought a complete skinomi skin set, and promptly botched the wet application of the screen protector, but since I wanted the anti-glare it just meant a week wait for the Chinese Air Mail which I had already ordered.
Overall I like the Exim, it was easy to install without any bubbles, though you might want to trim the corners a bit as its a very tight fit. I ended up cutting them off after applying it because I had the screen on perfectly without a single dust mote making a raised area. I don't mind a poorly cut corner, but do wish I had just done a quick trimming beforehand as I wasn't perfectly centered.
2 for $12.99... Was worth the wait.
Hey Naieve,
does it really help with the anti glare issue? Also does it have any issues with the touch screen interface? Is the screen protector to thick that it doesnt detect your finger movement on the screen? Any help on the finger print issues haha?
It helps some with the glare, definitely diffuses the light, but it looks more like a compromise in between a clear protector and some of the very heavy anti-glare screen protectors I've seen. I like it because of this actually. As to issues with the touch screen, I spent some time googling before buying, and while I forget where I read it the fact is there is no difference while using this protector. Even a light touch still works just fine. I wonder if that is the reason this AG protector diffuses less light, as I have heard of some AG protectors being too thick and screwing up touch. It does still show fingeprints, but its not that bad and is easy to clean. Definitely less noticeable than just the screen itself.

I said I would update once my Aurum arrived. Like others have mentioned, there is no cutout for the camera or sensor - I don't know what effect that has nor do I really care. I never use the camera anyway.
The protector itself fits perfectly on the screen - it is so perfect that I had trouble aligning it properly and i would get halfway done installing it and notice it was running off the side of the screen slightly.
It took a few minutes to install because I did want it to be perfect. Now that it is installed I am really happy with it. My fingers slide better across the screen and there are far less fingerprints. I am happy with my purchase.

Screen protectors. The big shootout.

I've been looking at some reviews including a very lengthy one from a couple of years back on Youtube where he tried about NINE different brands (Including anti-glare or crystal from the same manufacturers) and he tried pretty much most of the known brands including Zagg. He did miss out Martin Fields and a few others though.
I've seen the XO skins are pretty easy to apply wet. Much easier than the Zagg.
XO aplication.

Brief thumbs up from someone.

XO skin for TF
http://xoskins.com/laptops-tablet-r...ors/asus-eee-pad-transformer-screen-protector
Large shooutout of various screen protectors. But it's a couple of years old and for a tablet PC rather than pads.
http://www.youtube.com/user/tonkabui#p/u/0/9XdVHL1M7vM
I am going to continue looking. But if anyone finds the perfect screen protector let me know. That XO looks easy to apply. But I want anti-glare and anti-reflectin as well as anti-smudge and 0 bubbles (in other words eacy to apply). Protection from scratches is actually pretty low down my list of wants.
If anyone can post their experiences (good or bad) of various screen protectors please do so here. I noticed there is a reasonably priced TF1010 anti-glare protector made by Posr.us and has two five star reviews on Amazon. Also someone called MFX is making one as well as Martin Fields and SGP Steinheil.
Thanks I needed one still and this looked decent and easy to apply (I prefer the wet application) I bought it and used coupon code "retailmenotxo" for 15% off ... it covered more than the shipping so that was cool.
I put on Skinomi on my beloved transformer. yeah it's a wet app, and I'm not yet skilled in it's application yet, but certainly feel much safer with it on than not - even despite the alleged "scratch resisteance of Gorilla Glass"
well my screen has a scratch only had it a week

Well, scratch resistant =/= scratch proof, so all those people who say Gorilla Glass is the reason why you shouldn't need a screen protector are fooling themselves. I personally have a clearfreak protector on my transformer. It definitely makes me feel more at ease when I use it.
I bought two of the (as far as I can tell) unbranded screen protectors from ElectronicCrap.com. Other than the non-existent directions, I'm quite happy. Not terrible with the fingerprints, reduces the glare, feels and appears quite durable. Price seems a tad steep (given that you can get whole packages of universal ones for like $10) but these fit perfectly edge-to-edge with the cutout for both the light sensor and the camera. It didn't come with directions of any kind but it's a screen protector - it isn't rocket science. I'd say overall it's a keeper.
I picked up a dcmugen antiglare from ebay and I love it. Damp or dry install, the type with the two peel off layers, and repositionable to boot. It ships from Asia, and mine came with a slight crease causing bubbles that cant be flattened. I've requested a replacement, waiting to see if they follow through. So much easy to use indoor and out, and far fewer fingerprints to clean off.

Got a zagg at bestbuy today because I was bored more or less. Installation went well even though the thing stuck to itself. But a few hours later and I'm bubble and wrinkle free nd protected. Now to decide if I want a spg crytal or not....

I bought one as well, but it looked like crap on mine. Hen again im terrible at applying these things. I usually let Verizon put screen protectors on my phone.
Has anyone tried the skin protector from PhantomSkinz? I have their carbon fiber back skin and it looks great and is durable

My experience with Zagg has been mixed with all my devices but their customer support is good. If you get a bad protector(line down middle, or little imperfections) they will send you another.
The XO skin looked very promising, and for $10 cheaper I thought I would give it a shot. Just placed an order for the XO skin.
Use discount code retailmenotxo for $3 off(free shipping pretty much)
Pulled the trigger on an XO
after watching all the youtube reviews, i decided that the XO looked best.
ordered one this morning.
just a thanks to all the folks responsible for putting the links and testing together in one place for time-challenged guys like me.
btw, i think the transformer is one of the smartest purchases i've made in the last few years. i'm thoroughly enjoying it.
marvin
Following up on my earlier post. Installed the XO skin in my university's clean room(0 dust, yes I wore the cleanroom suit) and it has streaks. The protector quality is very good but once you put it on there are visible streaks all over. I kept the applicator wet so there would not be "burn marks" as specified by the instructions.
Going to ask for a refund... maybe I'll give Zagg another try. My first ZuneHD protector was wonderful but the 2nd one I got had a big line down it(bad QC).
The perfect screen protector
I always have problems applying the screen protectors to any of my devices, so I did some research and decided to go with one made by a company called Aurum. The deciding factor was that it had a large cut out for my camera so its easier to apply. Overall, I am very happy. I got the two pack in case I messed up the first one.
http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Eee-Pad-...4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1308242480&sr=1-4
I dont think I will ever buy the wet applicator types again, the dry is just simpler and gives me choices in whether I want a clear or the anti-glare. Hope this helps
Here is the link to the anti-glare offered by Aurum in case anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-M...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311083745&sr=1-1
I usually get Bodyguardz for all my gadgets (mostly phones). It just feels better than Zagg's invisible shield and other screen protectors.
Anyone tried using Bodyguardz? I'm thinking about getting either the full body protector or just the screen protector. Hmmm this is tough.
Following up... after 24 hours drying/curing it looks much more acceptable. The funny part is there is a tiny black spec under the protector. I don't know how it got there since I was in a cleanroom!
Found this one in Amazon, similar to the Aurum with anti-glare.
Anyone has used this ? Is this any good ?

Hmmm... I have previously considered to buy it too, but I've seen the Gorilla Glas Test with the Transformer in a YouTube video... you dont need a screen protector
I just got a screen protector from Photodon. Their MXA film is great. It was a bit of work to put it on with no dust and correctly aligned. But once it's on it looks pretty good. It's got a glossy finish, so it looks just like the original screen. You can hardly tell that there is a screen protector on the transformer. It is pricey at almost $20.00 each, ut the screen is still sharp and crystal clear with none of the haze that a lot of cheap screen protectors have.

I used to have Bodyguards for my HTC Touch Pro and it peeled after three months both times that I used them. Now I use Phantom Skinz and I get no orange peel effect and I've had one on my HTC Evo 4G for almost 1 1/2 years with no peeling and no orange peel effect. Smooth as glass and you can't even tell it's on there.
Now I have Phantom Skinz screen protector on my TF and Phantom Skinz Chromatics white carbon skin for the back side. Very nice to say the least.
I would highly recommend a screen protector for the TF because although it has Cornings Gorilla glass, it sux for finger prints and fingerprints are easier to wipe off of a sceen protector than the Gorilla glass.
im using the steinheil Ultra Crystal. also use it on my phone.

TF300 Screen Protectors

Have had the TF300 for about a week and just cannot stand the fingerprints and worries about scratches. I'm used to Gorilla Glass and this is driving me nuts. I've been researching screen protectors quite a bit and cannot seem to get a consensus on a certain brand. I know the selection for the TF300 right now is slim, but given what you've used on earlier devices, what is a good brand to go with?
I have it in a case (Caseen Designo), but would like an extra layer of protection.
I've had good experiences with SGP's Steinheil screen protectors. I've used both the clear ones as well as the matte glare reduction/smudge resistant models and have been happy with both. The usual reduction in clarity is in the matte protector, but the cut was very precise and it lasted me a year before i took it off because i missed the crisp picture of the IPS panel, the protector was still pristine.
I just keep a microfiber and a small credit card style sprayer with 50/50 alcohol and water mix in the bag that i keep the tablet in, and its been alright so far, if you keep it in the dock most of the time you shouldn't have to worry about it being scratched unless you drop it or something, which i have yet to do since i also have a skinomi techskin on the back so its nice and grippy.
SGP doesn't make a protector for the TF300 yet, but i'd keep an eye on it, they make some solid products.
screen size is same as prime so protectors made for the prime should work.

You may want to check camera and light sensor placement before you put a prime screen protector on. They may be the same but it never hurts to check
Nothing else will work with the TF300 unfortunately.
I've been researching like crazy and think I've narrowed it down to:
Zagg
Stenheil
XtremeGuard
Those seem to get the best reviews. I'm really looking for:
same feeling as naked screen
optimal clarity
mitigates fingerprints
If you've never felt a zagg's wet apply film before i suggest you find someone who's got something similar to it and try it first, i see one of the criteria is feel close to naked screen, zagg and other wet apply soft skins usually feel grippy when you first install it, and gradually over time will wear out and feel smoother. In general there are the wet apply films which feel a bit like vinyl except its clear, or the dry apply protectors which are harder pieces of plastic, those will feel closer but nothing will be quite like a naked screen.
Is there big difference on screen sensitive between glossy and matte screen protector? or just you see difference of screen quality...
Thanks
I almost wonder if I might just be better off with a naked screen. I have my TF300 in a Caseen leather case and am always very careful when it's in use. The only thing I'd like to mitigate is the fingerprints.
Wait for a ClearCoat screen protector....i have tried every other brand and there is NOTHING like them. Super thin, no spongey feeling or orange peel....
I bought the xtremeguard one on ebay for 8.99 It fits great. The one I got isn't anti-glare though. One thing that kind bothers me, since I have never used a screen protection before, is that my fingers don't glide as easily as in the glass, it shows a bit of resistance. But I guess I just got to get used to that. I have not seen a reduction in screen sensitivity as of yet, but my dagi stylus kinda sucks now with the screen protector T_T since its plastic on plastic the resistance is really bad.
I like my skinomi. it takes forever to apply since it's wet application and if you're OCD about bubbles/lint like me. But once you've got it on there perfect and wait for it to dry and clear up it's not bad at all +lifetime guarantee.
I've always liked wet applications over the adhesive/static stuff just because they last a long time, and I havent noticed the yellowing people have talked about on any of my devices, I agree about the stylus issue, though (jot pro)
+1 for skinomi...
I used to swear by Zagg ...
Skinomi has only a slight orange peel effect and is generally smother except I agree it is still a nogo for the Jot pro as it doesn't let the plastic disk glide
after a while the Zagg invisible skins would start to keep my finger from sliding properly...
Skinomi skins do not have this issue and they dont show finger smudges very much
I want to try the Zagg HD skins as they are supposed to be glass smooth but they seem to only be out for iProducts and the kindle fire.....

the lifetime warrenty requires you to pay for shipping and handling by paying for the shipping and they also ask that you put your cc# on a paper and send it in. kinda risky there.

This will pass eventually from wear, on my zune hd i used to have an invisible shield which is a similiar kind of wet apply soft protector, and eventually the center part wore down enough to where it was like a hard plastic protector.
You bring up a good point though that i forgot to mention, i've used matte hard protectors, clear hard protectors, and soft wet apply films and my adonit jot still works best on a naked screen, though the matte hard protector had more of a paper resistance to it and the clear and naked both were much smoother.
Szpaner: the touchscreen sensitivity for me was largely the same between a clear hard protector and matte hard protector, i wasn't able to glide as well with the wet apply film so i wasn't able to gauge properly how sensitive it was compared to the other two.
mfratella: a light coat of rain-x on the naked screen helps make it much easier to wipe clean, i can breathe on it once or twice and the condensation is good enough to clear the whole screen. Even with the matte hard protectors which are supposed to be designed to be anti-fingerprint, they will still show up eventually from the oils in your finger, those spots will end up being a little more transparent so you'd have to wipe anyway, though in my experience the matte ones are the easiest to wipe, i used to just use my sleeve and give it a once over and it was all clean.

When I've used a matte screen protector, I didn't notice any difference in screen sensitivity. The biggest difference is in the clarity of the screen. On a phone, I can deal with the graininess that a matte screen protector brings with it. But on a tablet with a large screen, something that I'm going to use for long periods of reading, it's far too distracting for me. Personally, I'd rather work around glare now and then along with wiping off finger prints in exchange for a clearer screen.
Screen protectors compatible with dock?
The Armorsuit people replayed on an email I sent them asking if their screen protector was compatible with the keyboard for the TF300.. it appears it is not. They answered me just to be careful... so I was planing on cuting it. these screen protector is actually pretty good, and I think that I wont even notice the protector end-line at the bottom of the screen after a while. Do you know if cutting it actually works?
I just installed the Skinomi on mine. Took about 5 minutes and it's perfect. Just gotta makes sure you soak the hell out of the screen (you won't damage it) and both sides of the protector plus your hands so that you don't leave finger prints on the adheasive. If you have enough of the solution on everything it should kinda float on the surface of the tablet. You can just very easily slide it around until it is center and then start pushing the water out to make it stick. I didn't have one bubble on mine when completed.
The Zagg is now avail at best buy . No issues with the stylus either. Now all i need is a case im comfortable with.

Finally! No EDGE LIFT full coverage Screen protector

Invisible defender. It's a Korean product based on the language the instructions are written in. It has wings that wrap and the edge to the back of the phone.
Someone on XDA did this with a Galaxy tablet screen protector on the Note 7. Same idea here with the sides.
Screen is smooth and no edge lifting, no air gaps, not $45 like the white Stone.
Video here https://youtu.be/5Oqm9CMETvw
Hmm interesting concept, might have to try this out eventually. I have a feeling thought that once you put a case on those bubbles on the edges might come back as seen in that video.
The corners, of course, don't wrap around, and therefore are susceptible to lifting.
Can confirm it's been a few hours. No bubbles. If you swap cases frequently it might be an issue. Essentially the edges are tucked in the back of the phone and then held in place by the case sides and back.
Not anti-shock protector after all :/
Have this being delivered today from Amazon. Looks promising

Looks cool. Two quick questions for you though. How does it feel... like smooth? Also I have a skin on the back that covers all the back part. Would this protector work work that? Like how far do the wings go back? Thanks.
I just installed this on my s8+. Best screen protector I have used on the phone so far. The wrap around not only keeps it from coming up on the edges, but also helps to apply by acting like handles. It sits shy of the corners to lessen the chance of the corners being lifted by a case. The feel is smooth, but it does have a slight orange peel finish. Went on perfectly and seems to hold very well. Does show fingerprints much more than a naked screen.
Looks promising, I just grabbed one from Amazon. Thanks for sharing.

Wings just go very slight. If you have a skin on the back I would tuck the wings under the skin. It might even help hold things in place even better. Screen is super smooth.
Got these off Amazon. I've had this screen protector on my phone for 2 days now, in my opinion I'm not really liking it. It's smooth as glass which I like, but the clarity is not clear as I would like it to be. I don't like that smudgy/ matte look. More noticeable on whites, like scrolling through YouTube or web browser. I came from the Spigen wet install film. It had more clarity but out of my 5 cases, I was only able to use one case because the other cases made the edges of the film peel. Installation was straight forward, no lint or bubbles. I'll stick with it for now till I find something better.

How come only 1 review?
I would not recommend this protector. I installed it and it looked great, no air bubbles at all. However, as soon as I put my Supcase on the phone all four corners started to peel away from the screen. A day later the top of the screen protector near the sensors and camera also peeled away to a point where they are actually laying on top of the case's lip. I bought it because it said "case friendly" but after my experience with the Supcase I can definitely say this is not the case... Having the corners wrap around as well and maybe decreasing the height would make it work a bit better in my opinion.

Are you sure you are using these screen protectors? Mine is shy of reaching the corners, and I actually have the supcase and it is fine. I have had no issues with lifting at all. The screen protector does not reach the corners so it never interferes with the case i use. Perhaps you installed it a bit too high or low on the screen.

That is the one I have, but from the US amazon store. They are new so I am guessing that is why there is only one review. The US store has more reviews.
Just ordered off Ringke's official eBay store. Won't be here until next week but I'll update with how it turns out. Thanks
I know one user has said they dont like the screen protector due to clarity lacking.
However can anyone else comment on the clarity of this screen protector?
I want to purchase this but dont want any degradation of image quality from my screen.
Any input is appreciated, thank you.
Just received and applied mine.
I prefer glass, always have. I've read review after review of the current generation of glass and haven't felt like any would please me. I'm a bit picky, so much so I often order more than 1 of any protector in case I miss a speck of dust or something goes wrong.
This wrap around one is actually pretty nice. Installation is pretty much all about alignment and cleanliness. I guess I've installed enough that I got both the first attempt. It went on easy enough, plenty of bubbles that I was able to work out easily enough. Wrapping the edges went smoothly and the finished result is fairly impressive.
The feel is glass like. It's not glass but it's not rubbery nor is there any apparent orange peel effect. It's smooth and responsive and I don't notice any issues with clarity. Honestly looking at the device I can't tell there's a protector on it until I look at the edges. The edges (top and bottom) are there, but you have to look for them. Time will tell if they collect dust or peel, however they stick well and the whole thing is thin enough you barely feel where protector ends.
I have the official thin case, it went on without issue. The wrap around is nice in there is no difference between no protect tion and this protector. Together I feel the device is protected from scratches, but not drops. The S8+ (and it's little brother) are notoriously prone to breaking if you believe drop tests, so I really didn't expect this setup to be all protecting.
As for the back where it wraps around, well it's pretty much as I described the top. You'll feel where the edge is but it would only be distracted ting to the most anal retentive types.
Overall I would give it a try. 2 for $11 isn't asking that much.
