Help Needed Please - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I have rooted and flashed my Galaxy S 2 to cyanogen mod, but need to restore the phone back to completely stock to send back to samsung under warranty.
I have found the XXKE4 rom on the roms page but there is two files that you can download the STOCK KERNEL (5.06MB) or the XEO (POLAND 254.25MB). Not sure which direction to take.
The details of the phone stock were:
Purchased from OPTUS Australia
Phone Baseband Version: I19100XXKE4
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-I19100XWKE7-CL215725
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWKE7
Any help appreciated Thanks in advance!

Stock Roms are listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928
Details on how to restore are also linked to in that thread.

Did you bother to make a backup???
It is quite important.

Thanks for your help

[Q] Restoring to factory (Singapore SGS 2)

Hi guys, i've been using the SGS 2 for quite sometime now. Right now i just wanna put it back to the way i got it fresh out of the box or to a latest firmware thats legit.
Here's what i'm running:
ROM: VillainROM 2.4.2
PDA: I9100XXKG6
PHONE: I9100XXKG6
CSC: I9100OXAKG6
BASEBAND VERSION: I9100XXKG6
KERNEL VERSION: [email protected] #26
Hope someone could lend me a hand maybe perhaps give a step by step on what needs to be done first before i start going back to basics. I'm not very savvy yet with these rooting and stuff. Thanks in advance guys.
You are using a Custom ROM, so to put back the Stock ROM you need to flash back the Stock ROM via Odin.
Get the Stock ROM from here,

[Q] Return to stock minus the bloatware

Hi,
A few weeks ago i purchased the Optus Samsung S2 and its been alot of fun. I had a friend install CM 7 on there and I have since come to the realisation i gained nothing really from it? I was wondering if its possible to go back to my original rom.. or if possible a stock rom without the optus branding?
I did a search how ever there didn't seem to be any decent answers...
i think this thread will solve all your problems of flashing stock without bloatware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
afaik the Optus samsung gs2 isn't any different in terms of hardware so you shuold be able to flash the stock roms from the above link
good luckl!
Interesting thread,
There appears to be no option anywhere for AUS?
My current info:
Andriod 2.3.3
Baseband: XXK13
Kernal: [email protected] #4
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWKG1
Based on this information which should I aim to download from the thread above?

Hi,so I've got my first android phone, an UK Samsung galaxy S2 GT-i9100p with NFC, and I want to get rid of all of the orange logos and apps. Can I flash an official GT-i9100 firmware on my GT-I9100P and then enable Signal boost and NFC? If so, can I get a guide on how to do it as I am scared to brick my phone.

Thank you. One more question: What firmware should i choose as there are hundreds of them?
I don't really have one to recommend, but generally the latest (non-unstable ICS) would be the most wise choice, which is probably the "frankenstein" XWLA4.
So generally i just download the Frankestein XWLA4 firmware and flash it via Odin? Sorry for asking noobish questions.
Yes thats what will work .

Thank you guys so much! I finally got rid of all that orange crap!

actually, for installing custom roms you really dont need to bother about your firmware details only your device make and model
unless you need to flash stock roms
if you are not rooted then search for siyah kernel(safest way to start) and flash it via odin
you can find the details in the forum
then flash the custom rom via recovery
