[Q] Don't know if its bricked or not - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is my first post on this forum and very new to rom-ing, so I'm sorry if I didn't post it in the right section, but I was trying to rom cyanogen mod on my Samsung Captivate by using Rom Manager. I had rooted my phone and it was also running 2.1.
I followed all the instructions from the forums on how to install a rom step by step, but as soon as the phone rebooted, my phone has been stuck on the model number screen with the Samsung logo on the bottom and its been about more than an hour that it hasn't moved.
So, now I m not sure if i should take out my battery and and go into recovery, or it will totally brick the phone because i have no idea if it is bricked or not. I also made a Nandroid Backup before this, so I was wondering if i can just take the battery off and go into recovery mode and do a restore?
If someone could help me, please let me know as soon as possible, and thank you in advance!
Update: I tried pulling the battery, and booting into recovery mode, but the start up screen just keeps flashing when I hold on to the 3 button combo. And when I don't, it just stays on the logo screen.

If you have a backup, restore! If u havent a back up: Flash a stock rom via flash tools...

thank you !
Thanks for taking your time to reply back ! and after searching and reading more, I plan to re flash back to the stock rom . Thank you !

[Q] hang on a boot screen... same in recovery mode

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to search my problem around but cannot find any thread about this, sorry if I missed out something.
I'm using GT-I9100 for a year now, I was using custom rom Hydra-H2o. Today, I updated rom to version 1.4.1... the process was fine. When I booted up, set things done, I found the contact information was really really wrong, it kept updating wrong photos to wrong contacts.
So I decided to factory restore in the setting menu. The phone was rebooted and struct in the boot screen that has its name "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100" and an ordinary yellow triangle.
Even charging my phone, a battery icon is loading and nothing appear to show me how much juice I have.
I tried to boot to recovery mode, still the same as normal boot. The only boot that is working is download mode.
Please help me, this phone is my buddy
Thanks
Ok you can get download mode, get a stock Rom, flash using Odin
If it boot loops, go to recovery and wipe data cache.
Should fix your problem
I will try
Thanks for now
Fixed! Thank you so so much!

Hey Guys!!!
I have bricked my Samsung Galaxy ace plus (GT7500). I was flashing this custom Atomic ROM.
First I did it successfully. The interface came where it demanded for my google account then i put in the information of my google account. The screen went blank.
Then i restarted it.but it got stuck into samsung boot logo. I even can't go through my download mode or clockwordmod.
so, was not able to use ODIN.
First ODIN Failed in flashing my ROM. then i got pissed off and switched off my mobile.
After sometime when i tried to start it. it went dead. it is even not starting. It is not even getting charged.
I know it is now bricked. Please tell me how to unbrick it.

First of all wrong section.. there is another section for the Ace plus, but as you already have posted i shall tell u what to do.
Remove your phone's battery. After removing your battery hold the button combination for download mode and then put put your battery back into the phone this should make your phone boot in download mode. After it is in download mode, using Odin flash one of the stock firmwares into your phone.
Press thanks if I helped.

Galaxy S II i9100 Bricked

Hello
I recently tried to install Cryogenmod 10 using Clockwork Mod Recovery, my friend recommended doing it this way. My phone now just boots to the Samsung logo screen and sits with that yellow "!" icon.
I've changed my mind about installing a custom rom and just want to go back to my factory OS. Can you guy's please help me do this?
Thank you so much.
EDIT: Hold the phone...I think I managed to install the new rom.
EDIT: Nope, didn't work. I know you get threads like this all the time and I'm sorry for being just another noob..but I would really appreciate your help.
EDIT: As usual, the noob panicked. I've got it to work.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 BRICKED

I tried to root my S3 (i9300) that I just bought from a friend with a custom ROM and it got bricked. After following most of the guides from similar threds, I was able to make the boot screen appear but now it won't get past that!!!
it shows an error at the top left conner in green color reading as follow: jump kernel
can anyone kindly advise me or guide me to how I can make the phone work again?
If it had a custom rom then it was already rooted. Follow the guide in general forum to flash back to stock rom via odin on your pc. If you can access download mode (from off hold volume down, home then power button until the Samsung logo appears) then thus should work.
Make sure you read and fully understand what you are doing otherwise you'll end up with a full brick.

[Q] S3 stucks at the logo screen?!?

I tried to install the cwm via ROM MANAGER and when its done, my phone resetted and from that moment it has been stucking at the Samsung logo for hours. ive tried removing and inserting the battery but it doesnt work; booting into recovery doesnt either: the samsung logo keeps flashing if i do that. My phone is 4.2.2 and rooted, i definately didnt mess anything, just let the ROM MANAGER automatically do its job and now it resulted in this. Looking forward to your replies guy, im desperate now.
Updated: my phone is in download mode now and idk how this works. It doesnt tell me what is it downloading or the process...
Go read the stickies in general on how to return fully to stock, read and understand before you flash.
