[Q] Is there a way to move all of my SMS from iOS to Android? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to move all of the SMS on my iPhone 4 over to Android without any issues? Someone told me I can forward them, but won't that change the time stamp and all? I want a seamless transition if possible.
Thanks!

Google for "iPhone SMS to Android Converter".

Hi, that contacts and phone dialing open-up lagging has been a common Jelly Bean issue. It has been started since they included the contacts inside the Phone App. I do not know any solid workaround. However, they seem to improve the lagging time by firmware upgrades.
download exDialer from playstore
Thanks for helpful reply. Is there way to lock phone & contacts application in memory.

Facebook home notification

The HTC first can handle all notifications (email, whatsapp) with the facebook home app, however phones that download the app can't.
I believe that this is due to permissions, does anyone know if us rooted users would be able to give the same permissions so that we can have all notifications?

Better off asking in the themes and apps section, ask a mod to move this post there!

[Q] App that locks sms in inbox?

So my friend secretly sends credits from my phone to his without my permission. And I would like for him to be unable to access my inbox to prevent deletion of confirmation messages from my provider each time he uses my phone. This will also help me to catch him in the act. Thank you.

you could just keep your phone in your pocket and not leave it lying around?

Any apps that specifically does that? I'm currently trying sms control. Any suggestions would be great.

Try app lock application. I use it. It may help you too!
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app
Try hide it pro in the play store.. It's the best hiding app for Android by far..
Whenever you're with your friend, you can lock your inbox and what it basically does is that whenever someone tries to open your inbox, it shows a force close message and asks to send an error report.. A normal person would consider this but for you you'll have to enter your password and your inbox will open..
It's a pretty cool app! Do try it..

It's known for being a fast, light and addicting messenger.
BTW, it's weird, it doesn't work with some of my friends :/
Can this work on multiple devices with one id? If yes this will replace whatsapp for me. I screwed up my s4 with that fake imei rubbish so can't test until it gets fixed at shop

I personally feel BBM is no longer relevant and that blackberry was too late... Of course, it is still nice to have an option especially for those with friends on blackberry.

[Q] Lock Apps Via Fingerprint

Hey Guys!
I just recently got my Galaxy S5, and I noticed that I'd rather have some conversations in texts hidden from prying eyes. I was wondering if anyone has found an app or mod to do this.
I'm either wanting an app to hide messages in the stock app and make them reappear when I authorize it to (by scanning my finger) Or just have the app locked (or any app, for that manner) and unlockable with my fingerprint.
I think many people would love this feature, and I might pay someone to make it! I know Samsung released the API, but I dont really know how to code something like this!
So if anyone knows an app, or can actually make one, Please let me know!
Thanks Guys!

On the moment NO .
It will return an undefined error.
The AOSP roms don't have the files for the fingerprint reader. These should be flashes first. I have not found any flashable zip for this but I hope someone will create it

Why don't you include the necessary files inside your app as assets, then, using root, copy the files to the required directories for the user?
