question about lock screen animation

anyone know where that screen lock animation where it looks like it has the effect of a tv shutting down???? i saw it on youtube once
edit: it's the gingerbread lock screen animation
is it possible to get that animation for the vibrant?
its built in to the 2.3 gingerbread kernel....so you need to run a ROM with the 2.3 kernel to get that effect.

oooh.....and what kernel is it on for 2.3? i might try it, but i am waiting for a stable gingerbread rom with a working gps before going back
Hi guys!
You don't need any special kernel I think.
If your phone is rooted, just install the app named "Screen Off and Lock" from the market.
It will allow you to choose different animations and... there is the one with the TV effect!
Enjoy!

Not kidding! And it works perfectly for me on Galaxy Ace, but i guess it works on every Androiid device!
You are welcome!

I use it too...it doesn't look as sweet as gb, but it'll hold me over till a stable gb rom is released. Also, you can program screen off and lock to work when you long press search

Looks like you have to click the special screen off and lock icon to turn off the screen. If you let it time out on its own or click the power on/off button, it just turns off the regular way.
Yea, the CRT animation is pretty sick. Comes with most JVB themes too.

[Q] using android defalt lockscreen

Hi all ,
Sorry for my bad English
Is there any way to use android default lock screen in SGS II ?
Thanks in advance
You mean the one with the slider getting the icon to the point.

Sorry, I don't either.
But I got a question...
Now that you mentioned that the default lockscreen is to move the whole picture(which I prefer).
Is it possible to add widgets to the lockscreen and still keep that lockscreen option?( moving the picture)
Thanks in advance.

Non - Rooted phones = No rights on update/modify system files..which won't be possible unless someone makes a rom out of it..people prefer their roms to be rooted..

[Q]SLIDING Screen Brightness on Notification Bar?

I have watch a video on youtube that samsumg galaxy s2 can adjust the brightness by holding the notification bar for sec and then sliding it from left to right...
Is it possible to make it on xperia x10? Its to cool. You dont have to go to the settings to change it... maybe an add on or something?
X10 on WB GB ROM 4.0.4C
I'm looking for the same option on my HTC DHD (Running RCMix3D ROM).
MIUI Roms have it, however it doesn't show up until you turn off automatic brightness (which rarely ever worked for me anyway)
app
appbrain. com/app/display-brightness/rubberbigpepper.DisplayBrightness
use this app..best out there...
change the transperency to zero and viola u hv an invisible bar to adjust brightness..
also it can be placed any where on the screen ....
hope it helps..
delete the space in the link..i cant post a link..
CyanogenMod has it. In CM7.1 RC1. You can try Jerpelea's ROM. I know its in there. cyanogenmod settings > interface and etc.

lockscreen

im looking for a lock screen alternative i've tried widget launcher and it's both a battery and resource hog any ideas
Try GO Locker? There was an issue with the home button (SGSII Exclusive) tho, not sure if they fixed it.
Ive heard go locker is the same as widget locker bit heavy any one else recommend go locker

Try Magiclocker. It's like the Miui lockscreen and it works very well. It has many options to customize your lockscreen as you like it.

You have to install them all.
Installed them all, doesn't do the data in the battery circle. Did I miss something?

You installed all 4? That worked on my GNex, but they were a bit unstable because I am on JB. May try with an ICS ROM.

It seems that the circle widget only works on the Homescreen which was in the zip.
I also installed them all and found that it still can't work on other launchers (I'm using Apex),
but it works fine on the Homescreen probably the default launcher of Atrix HD?
The dock below is too big, icons fall off screen

First install the launcher and then the widgets to be able to use the widgets
Ps: installed Samsung Galaxy S3 Launcher from here , quite pleased with it . very snappy and smooth .
Is it possible to make a flash able zip?
Sent from that Atrix.
I really hope someone finds a way to get that circles widget to work on 3rd party launchers!
^agree
That's true, if it works on 3rd party launcher it would b amazing

I can use the launcher with the icons aligned in the dock without getting capped, but only if I change the LCD-resolution to 220 (but that is only a quick fix). I want someone to make the launcher nice without having to change the screen resolution.
pretty please...
I don't get it. How do you install this?

please modify..
everything seems to work perfect other than the dock.. the icons come out to the home panels bulging out of the provided dock space.....may be because the icons are labelled..so please modify or add an option to remove the labels..i m using a sony ericsson xperia mini pro..
Wow looks amazing!! Gonna try
