We've recently been informed by Asus that there is an unexpected delay in receiving the items, and as a result, we are unable to ship the tablet on the date originally planned. memory express sent them as well and I emailed and asked for clarification and got this
Originally we were supposed to get them on the 6th of December. According to Asus they are shipping on the 15th which means in theory we should have them on or after Christmas day.

I'd bet that to serve the U.S., Asus probably has a contract with a logistics company that they drop ship to who then manages and distributes inventory on their behalf. Because of the smaller volume in Canada they may ship directly from Taiwan. That would explain why "shipping on the 15th" may or may not make it before X-Mas.

O Docks, Where Art Thou

Ordered Dec 23rd: Merimobiles
Still nothing, customer service says if I don't see it by this weekend they will send me a new one. Plus it just so happens I sent in that rebate for the free dock and paid the investment of $10.50 to the U.S.Merchants. I have yet to see either one. Anyone in the same boat still? When all is said and done I might have 2 docks. Unless we have another snow storm.

I plan on turning this whole situation into a game, which ever one gets here first will be showered with gifts and pampered. The latter with have to endure the heart ache and smells of being the charger for in the kids bathroom or a ice scraper, snow shovel ect.
Why can't they get more of this stuff in the US? They should be all over EBay by now!
Try checking your tracking number against whatever your mail provider is (mine showed up on CanadaPost).
If it still doesn't turn up I would raise an issue with paypal/your credit card company. Merimobiles has lied to me about shipping details, there's no reason for them to have your money.
I have ordered two items from china in January. One cleared Shenzen on 1/15 and I got it on 2/6. The other cleared on 1/23 and I got it on 2/8
It seems things have really slowed down from there on china post airmail
Merimobiles is a terrible vendor. They are doing the same bs to me (even after completely admitting that the shipping problem is thier mistake). They are a bad company that doesn't take care of its customers. I highly suggest that everybody avoids doing business with them.

I order on the 12/26 and have the exact same as the above, with the exact reply from merimobiles about shipping another if I don't get it by this weekend. Unless they overnight it why would I expect that a second one would make it to me.

I ordered my Dock 12/30/2010, received a "Your Order Has Shipped" email on 1/19/2011. Got my Tracking Number and this is what was reported:
Destination - United States of America
The item (RB176555762HK) is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 22-Jan-2011.
It looks as though it is still being processed! I sent an email to [email protected] so they could explain the status delay. No response 2nd request was sent today.

So, my Ankaka items are officially in the mail and should arrive San Jose, CA any day. My merimobiles.com Docking station is still in Hong Kong being processed for departure.
It seems that merimobiles choose the cheapest delivery option each time they ship something. Like they try to accumulate packages to make one huge shipment to US for less money.
If you go to the USPS web site and under tracking teb enter the track number, you can see progress once they receive it.
Damn... did you all forget it's a slow boat to/from China?
My dock took almost 30 days to arrive from Merimobiles. It was a race between the doc and usb keyboard case I ordered. The doc won by 3 days.
I decided to e-mail them being as nice as I possibly can here is the reply e-mail:

I got a few emails from Janey too. I already did my venting on another thread, but this company is horrible. I think that their support people are all the same person. Always say sir. Always is all lower case. Always bad grammar and you are lucky if the sentence make any sense. The last response I got six days ago said that they would check on my order, but crickets since then.
Then I call up US Merchants to see why I still haven't received my rebate dock from 11/26 purchase and they say that they are having trouble getting the docks from Viewsonic and it will be at least another couple weeks before they get them.
I am livid.

During those months there has been many delays in the regular mail. We can assure you we ship them promptly. The situation is now alot better and most packages are arriving promptly in the advertised time and the regular time that it should take by regular mail. We do care alot about our customers. We do have a policy when it takes over 1 month we reship or refund. Many people have received there docking stations already. Shipping times are back to normal, and contrary to what 1 member claimed we don't chose the cheapest way possible to ship, its a regular mail shipping item like any other item, and every year during the holiday time there is always delays in the mail. Things are back to normal now, we can assure you on our part we ship them promptly, its unfortunate some people had to experience delays from the mailing system. Thank you for your reply. I didn't start this post to defile Merimobiles. That was not my intention. I was stating I had both Merimobiles and U.S.Merchants both sending me docks since Dec. of 2010 and have not seen either one and was wondering if others had received theirs yet. You do however get a +1 for lurking the XDA forums. Janey has been nice answering my questions and she did state that if I didn't get it by this weekend that I could have you guys refund or resend it to me. So I'll correspond with her later this afternoon if I haven't seen it.
One plus on still not receiving a dock from merimobiles, where my order was placed on 12/26. I read the statement above with respect to bad weather. Didn't we hear a similar story from another supplier of cases? Basically I don't accept the weather argument....
Any advice on how to proceed with a refund request?

Easiest thing would be to call their customer service. However I had good luck with the TF101 getting one when Newegg was selling them at launch and I have faith in them now. I keep checking my Pre-Order and my email as well as the sight for any updates. I've seen them update the Asus tablet page and remove the other tablets and put them back. Unless they wait until the last minute to update the page we may luck out and get it early. Otherwise they can always fallback on the fact that it says ETA and not actual release date.
For what it's worth, since I am a Campus Rep for ASUS, I can tell you all that the company has pretty strong ties with Newegg as that's who we use for our official campus store. If any company gets them on release date my bet would be with Newegg.

Not wanting to read into it but is 12/8 the actual release date? Since thats the date most retailers had initally before they changed it to the following week or two afterwards. If so then I definitely expect Newegg to have it on the date listed especially since every other retailer has been covering themselves and changed their dates while Newegg hasn't.

According to the event held in Taiwan on December 1st the Prime is supposed to be released in the US on the 12th online and 19th in stores.

my Bestbuy.com order status still says it gets released 12/18. I would love to get that one wrong!
Who was the source in Taiwan. Do we have someone on record as saying that? I know all of the media outlets were stating those dates on the day of the conference but I was never sure of an actual source.
What are they telling you as campus sales rep. When will you have one (or more) in hand?

I was skeptical for the same reason because no source was ever mentioned, no picture of any date was shown, nor was any video of the conference recorded.
My job is not as a sales rep... Just a Campus Rep. I'm supposed to promote the awareness and benefits of the products on campus by holding demo events, Q&A's, and reviewing new products. I'm going to contact my boss to see if I can get some more details.

It would really make my weekend if they shipped it out on the 8th!! Anyone know if it is possible to change shipping address on a newegg order? Their customer rep said I couldn't change since the order was "on hold". Will be hard for me to time it right so I can change the shipping address right after they receive it, but before they ship it out...
I forgot to put my office address in there and don't want them to leave it outside my house, or worse yet - take it back to the UPS hub on the day of delivery.

I was able to change the shipping option from 3 days to next day saver and change my credit card information, with a newegg customer service rep. My pre-order # did not change and still says "ordered on 11/25" on the pre-order status of "hold"..

My Best Buy pre-order says the 18th, but I was told I'd have it on the 13th. Maybe that date is for the in store date? Hoping so!
I love Newegg, but I have had some bad experiences with their pre-order stuff. Normally the release date is wrong, it comes later than the real release date, and once I got the incorrect product. I would hope they have gotten better, but when I made my preorder I stuck to Best Buy that had a physical presence so I could return or exchange without a hassle (hopefully) if there is a problem.
However, the official release date is the 19th for the US. There have been a lot of rumors and Asus officials have no been in sync with the information, but this finally seems official.

First time doing a pre-order with Newegg personally but I've bought lots of items from them in the past and have always been really good service. Of course service will always differ from one experience to the next. The way I see it is if they do get them on the 8th and ship them then thats a plus. If they get them on the 8th and ship the following week it falls in line with that 12th date that was thrown around with the 18th. And if it's not until the 18th then well it's the same as everyone else. All that matters at this point is when we all recieve the device. Unfortunately the site you linked to doesn't have anymore concrete information than any of the other sites. They reference the launch trailer we all saw as having the date and I watched it again to make sure I didn't miss something and there is no date in that trailer. So again we are all just playing the wait game until these merchants recieve and ship out our devices.

when i ordered the OG transformer from them it was an open box 16gb on their website for $300, i ended up getting a 32gb open box in the mail though, so sometimes those little snafus are a good thing!

yeah i called about a week ago and they told me 18th to 23rd and i asked they clarify what that meant. As in day shipped or day received and the lady said 18th would be earliest day i would have it in my hands and 23rd being the latest. This was at best buy but i should also note it sounded to me like she just read off the computer a generic product shipment statement. No real knowledge when it came to the prime. This was at best buy. For anyone wondering i ordered the 27th champ. 32gb no dock. I wanna know why u think the 13th too before i get my hopes up...
**edit- I figured i should also note for people wondering this was for standard free shipping. i was talking to her about upgrading shipping and once she told me 18th to 23rd i decided to leave it alone.
Just browsing Asus's product site, I noticed that the "preorder" list had been removed (unless I'm looking at the wrong page: http://eee.asus.com/en/eeepad/transformer-prime/features). I went to the "where to buy" tab and looked through some of the sites listed - a couple of places that weren't on the initial preorder list have them up now - J&R as we all know, but also allasus.com and PC Mall. I went ahead and called PC Mall to check on delivery time and the rep told me Dec. 12th. Now, of course, I doubt that is accurate, but it's news at least.

NCIX 32/64gb pre order status

Hey all! Anyone heard back from NCIX regarding their order? I'm in Vancouver and NOT patiently waiting for them to call me to come pick it up.......

i preordered the 32gb Grey model and im in the same situation as you i kept checking my phone today hoping to receive an NCIX email! hopefully it will come tmrw!
I also have one at NCIX with no date given. I ordered 5 on Amazon for what is to be the second shipment. so If you really need one and I get them before yours comes in. Let me know I will not be marking them up just getting rid of them.
Told NCIX to cancel my order if they didn't have a date for me. I guess I'll hear back tomorrow or the day after (because it takes that long to cancel) and make a decision.
They will make you confirm you want to cancel with another email. it wont be that simple. trust me done it already.
it seems like its impossiable to get information from NCIX over emails, its better to walk into a store (if there is one near you) and ask for your information.... i did that last week and i found out that i was the 32nd person to preorder the tablet out of like 120+ people soo hopefully ill be getting mine soon... but they never gave me a release date..

Just got this!!
We are happy to announce we just received a shipment of ASUS Transformer Prime 32GB Grey and we are able to ship these out right away! Unfortunately, this shipment is being transferred from Ontario so it will not be available for pickup before Christmas. My take on this is that "different warehouse locale" means that it's coming directly from ASUS, which is why he couldn't expedite the shipping.
Well while I was chatting they went out of stock. I was trying to see if I could pay extra for quicker shipping. I had one in my cart and everything. FML lol

Me: I understand, but that is NOT what I was told when I ordered it. I was told that it WAS in stock and that it would ship in time for me to receive on the 27th. When I placed the order I again chatted with a rep who told me to wait 2-3 days for the status to be updated. Now you're telling me that it's NOT in stock but that I should still wait 2-3 days for more information. I know it's not your fault, but I need a better result then "check back in 2-3 days"--simply because apparently I have not been given accurate information from the very beginning.
Steve: I will escalate the issue to the higher authority and they will get back to you within 4 business hours with the exact delivery details

Under Product Details it says "TF201-B1-GR", the "GR" at the end means it is gray.
Out of stock now, however.

I Hear that I have several preordered too. Guess we could always sell extra on ebay to make up for cost if unable to cancle an order.
i was able to order one, delivery date of 1/5. Hopefully it gets delivered and hopefully its grey
