HTC Radar Jailbreak/Sideload - HTC Radar

So Just got my radar and unlocked via chevron but its only limited to 10 apps as I have heard I will need so much more, how can I increase it? Also How can I intop lock as well. Thanks
Any DFT Custom Roms?

The increase is the interop unlock. There is no "Jailbreak" for windows phones. That is an iPhone specific term. There is currently no way to interop unlock the radar. A few members in the hacking forum are working on it but HTC seems to have closed that security loophole.

What about the dualboot program.

There is no dual-boot program

[Q] HTC Mozart! is it worth it..

I'm plannig to get HTC Mozart, but there are some issues i have to reconsider before going for purchase and for that purpose i need some advice from its users..
1) first i would like to know which OS version of WP, Can be jailbreaked with chevron?
2) What are the pros and cons for jailbreaking
3) as em from Pakistan where Marketplace service is not available, so can i download free apps from marketplace by jailbreaking or it is possible without jailbreaking it?
4) And what other problems are you guys facing as a user :|
And yes i did some research on google, but still confuse on above few points..
Marketplace service is available in Pakistan, you can download any app from it.
why you want to jailbreak it? I assume you mean unlocking it so you can use other SIMs in it? unlocking can be done for £8-15/- over the internet and then phone is free to use in Pakistan with any SIM.
It's windows phone 7 OS on HTC Mozart and Microsoft is expected to rollout its major update in september.
No problem with it and in my opinion it's much much better then iPhone or Androids
1) to ``jailbreak`` you must either chevron unlock on a 7004 (original firmware in your mozart) or upgrade to the DFT mango rom(where you will no longer be able to download official xbox live games, only side load)
2)on my above post
3)you can without jailbreak as long as you create a Windows live id of a supported country and enter that to register your mozart.
4)its a brilliant device but i could use a better batter other than that I dont think I`ve had any other problem
hope i helped

I just give one feedback: It can just work 30 hours afer full charged. It is so quick.

[Q] To buy or not to buy?

Hi All,
Thinking of getting this phone to replace old android one....
I'm reading about the Chevron dev unlock expiring?
I would like a non-expiring/permanent dev unlock, does it exist?
I will be getting a sim unlocked phone anyway, but would like to sideload some of the tools & tweaks I've seen.
Thx..
Al.

Currently two dev unlcoks are available:
DreamSpark student account - FREE, your institute needs to be a part of the program, most of them are if you have PCs.
App Hub account - $99 per year.
If you buy Titan, these are the only options. For Gen1 phones like Samsung Focus, there are other ways.

Just got a lumia 800

Right, never owned a windows mobile in my life, Im an android person, but Ive just bought a nokia lumia 800. The phone is a few months old but its in decent condition for its age. What can i do with this phone OR do to it (without screwing it up). I know the lumia 710 can be jailbroken (hate that terminology, jailbreaking is for ios devices). can the same be acheived with the lumia 800?? I guess i should do a search. Easy to do or a ball ache? Im still going to stick with my htc sensation but its handy to know this stuff and where better place to find the experts than on xda forums :highfive:
Any help and advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
Edit.................Ive just found what Im looking for thanks
Please can a mod lock or delete this post. Thanks
you sure are a Droid boy. "Windows Mobile" lol

hi nice to see another lumia fan well it goes somthing like this
if your lumia has a qualcomm bootloader your free to install the custom rom in the dev thread on here but as i have found your phone might be on 7.35.0.0 and come up as qualcomm device but if you dont have access to the nand (in windows it would come up as a flash disc) then your pretty much stuck with stock roms and stock apps untill the dload bootloader is cracked. have a read in the dev forum there quite bit of info to get you started

Yes, no better mobile phone operating system in my book. I couldnt turn down the chance of the lumia because it was cheap. And a change is as good as a rest so the saying goes

Tip for when you need the phone to last longer (like weekend visits etc.)
Sync and mobile data is a huge battey drain. Disable mobile data and it the phone will last for days.
My advice is go slow..
With Android, most of the stock google applications like gmail were garbage so you had to go to the marketplace to find better versions.
Also, you have to root Android phones to get rid of crapware installed by carriers.
With WP7 and the Lumia..
Like iPhone, all the stock applications are excellent quality. The Mail program for instance is second to none; I don't even have any supplemental programs to it..
Also, while the Lumia will come with carrier crapware, you have probably already found out you can simply longpress and delete these with out jailbreaking or rooting. I understand this was a rule Microsoft imposed on all carrier programs to create another selling point for WP7..
So the only reason you would need to unlock would be to install homebrew applications, custom roms, or simply dicker around with the phone. All of which are fun to do but unnecessary.
In short, I found with Android (I had a Samsung Vibrant), you HAVE to unlock and Root just to have a good quality system. With WP7, you don't - the phone is good out of the gate and you only need to Root & jailbreak to do some higher level experimenting.
Good luck - hope you enjoy the phone!
What should I do?

Hello,
I have some carrier crapware into my Lumia 800 - it doesn`t let me to use another SIM card but the provider`s (it`s locked on Bouygues Telecom - France) And I was wondering if a NOOB`s guide to interop unlock my phone exists. Thanks.
Android convert
My first visit to the lumia 800 forums and I am in the same boat as the op.
I've been an android fanboy for several years (htc desire, samsung galaxy s, htc sensation, htc one x, acer iconica a500) and have found myself obsessed to the point of addiction. Yesterday, I bit the bullitt, put my one x on e-bay and ordered a network un-locked lumia 800 to be delivered today.
I would like advice on how to unlock the full potential of my device and will be reading this forum very carefully before I do anything risky but, before I start, could somebody possibly advise as to wether there is anything that is important to address before and during my initial set-up?
Hopefully I will not become too obsessed with my new venture and any informed advice would be much appreciated to a windows phone noob
ps Had a windows mobile 6.5 device a few years ago
Ive left the Lumia 800 as it is. I wanted to jailbreak it as I wanted to install a specific gps app, which I have on my androids but do you know what?? Nokia Drive is really really very good imo. Im happy with it as it is. The interface took me some getting used to though but thats just me. I will probably end up jailbreaking it in the end as this is what Im like, but for now, its ace

First few hours on the device and loving it. Couldn't sync google contacts which was really bothering me but did an update whilst searching for a solution and the update had solved the problem!
Would love to 'jailbreak' it (like to mess) but, rightly or wrongly, I am getting the impression that it's not possible on this. Any ideas how to do this? Is it like root access.
It's all very different to android but makes a great change so I think I'll be staying with this little beauty for some time.

Hello guys don,t be dihearted on radar

HI THERE ALL PEOPLES ARE TALKING ABOUT HTC RADAR THAT THEY ARE NOT GOOD.
IT IS WRONG ALL THE WAY,B/C I HAVE MY RADAR LOADED WITH ALL THE LATEST GAME AND APPS ARE RUNNING WELL AFTER I HAVE UNLOCKED IT WITH DFT ROM. IT IS ROCKING. LOOK AT THE THREAD.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1685271
Radar is good, but HTC don't. They don't support windows phone like nokia did. even we, as owner, have to pay for tur-by-turn voice guided navigation while nokia give it for free to their customer

This is your best source of information of loading your own programs
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/apps/hh974578.aspx
seems like they let developers have free access now, used to be an annual fee

The link you posted is for Windows 8 Store, not Windows Phone Store. Unless something changed in the last few days I believe it still costs $99 USD to develop to windows phone. check out http://dev.windowsphone.com.
If you can get a dreamspark account, as a student, then it's free.
You can join the Nokia premium developer program, also $99, but you get telerik tools thrown in for free. http://www.developer.nokia.com/Developer_Programs/Premium_program.xhtml
