hints, or solutions? Im currently trying to make a ICS theme for myns rom, but when it comes to modding certain icons like the 3g or 4g icons they look all weird (see attached). using photoshop cs5. any help will be appreciated .

Try using Gimp.
Nah man, its because it is saved in a different format so it looks a little different. Right now, you are looking at the RGB format, when it is compiled and displayed on the phone it is indexed. I'm not sure in photocopy, but in gimp it is really easy to change between RGB, indexed, and greyscale.

In photoshop go to the top bar and click image then hover over mode. Then a menu will pop out and there will be the option if rgb, indexed, etc...

Eventually....not finished with it ...short on time....so far I only got system ui and mms done next is framework Res.

my framework res and system ui are fully themed, take a look at them (on my site in my sig under supraMOD tab). thesparky007 has got the htc reliant stuff down and is working on them.

You need to have gimp or paint.NET or some other image editing software that can open up a PSD. Once you have that, you can download the PSD that I provided and edit the text.

Go to your User CP on the top and to the left is a panel full of options. Click on "Edit Signature".

bottom bar? can you provide more details is it the one with the phone icon and apps plus customization, try rebooting it or turn off and pull battery then boot up?? thats weird
were the "programs" "phone" and "settings" is i dont see it transparent..
or see if you can kill sense and reboot phone

I'm working on a new skin for skin picker. I'll make it transparent !!! If I can only figure out where the navbar image is. It's not in the res folder like on 2.0 sense. Must be in the m10 file

How do I set my bottom bar to be transparent like this picture ? I thought that could only be done with rooted phones, and themes/ROM's ?
OK well I just finished OMJ EVOZone 3D ROM so all we need now is to be able to flash it. I based it on OMJ ROM which is posted over at the other site. Removed the bloat added the semi-transparent Rosie and of course made it blue. So here is hoping for Root and custom recovery soon.

No its odexed. Since I theme it I assume that it won't need much and odex is faster, better on memory. A deodex version of stock does exist though.

ATM it pretty much a stock blue but I will add my typical EVOZone notification icons. I mean I did use my typical email, SMS, Peep, etc icons. Its just like my other ROMs for the EVO.

Odex or deodex has nothing to do with the ability to remove apps (well maybe a little) what it has to do with is were the apk is located /system/app cannot be uninstalled but they can still be deleted (if you have root) /data/apps can be uninstalled regardless of root or not.

I'm clueless on how to do that. Plus it would not be complete I change every bit of green to blue. Thats why I do ROMs. For the time being I'm using the BlueSky skin which of course still has the green battery and a lot of other green. Example I even change the preview images to match the ROM. Like the calendar widget has the red calender I change that to blue. Its the little things. Also made the Unlock Ring steel blue like my other ROMs.

yeah it is the matte clock and idk how to theme on any of these new versions on android used to be easy but now they make it linked with so many other files its just ridiculous i have the htc clock apk but dont think its what i need ?

Matte.apk is the skin... the skin does not actually hold the M10 files that contain stuff(clock,dock,widgets...) for Rosie(launcher)... The M10 files needed to change that stuff are in other apks which we cannot edit because the M10 tools dont work for sense 3.5 and up
And yes... our modded skins that we make are different from HTCs stock skins... thats why ours can change that kind of stuff inside our skins

Ya I was talkin to racinwarrior earlier through gtalk and we both agreed its stupid that HTC locks this **** down and we don't have the tools anymore to mod. when I did the 4x1 clock in 3.6 it was easy. lol

yeah not to mention HTC appearently has their own custom .9.png tool for sense 4 too so those get messed up when you decompile then recompile... which is what causes the stripes to stretch in things like the statusbar

I'm using apex launcher but I miss the stock sense app drawer icon.

You can download the correct image and long press the app drawer>edit and choose your image.

For future reference and anyone else, don't change the image size. Select the object you want smaller and shrink it using the scale tool so it's actually smaller within the canvas. That way the end product looks smaller.
