I went from stock S2 rom to MIUI and so far loving it. However, and this is just a query really, the other night I downloaded GTA 3 from the market.
Now, on MIUI when I browse the market, its not there. Going on the website, it states "This app is incompatible with all of your devices." Well, yes it is.
I know I can prob download it elsewhere, but I paid for this.
Is this cos of the MIUI rom confusing google?
Also, as a bonus question, how can I get a list of all the apps I installed recently.
When I check googles market website, it lists only 3, and I've downloaded like 30.
GTA III will show not compatible with Galaxy S2, no matter what rom you used.
You can download the apk from others. I downloaded it and haven't got any problem so far (Just sometimes the game is force closed.)
For the installed app, I think it will show only the paid one. Mine doesn't show the free app in the previous installed. (Not Sure bout this)

The thing was I downloaded this from the market in the first place. It must of been compatible to let me download it? Because on this market its gone. It like they pulled it.

I think something is wrong, tried to download the natwest app and that's also missing from the market. This MUIU seems to be causing issues which is annoying because I love using it. Any ideas?

I don't think problem is with your Rom. I am using lightening Rom and I have the same problem with some apps I downloaded from market. Maybe its because the newer versions of those apps miss something to be compatible with galaxy S2 or maybe its a market glitch.

Its odd. They dont show up on my phone by going to the market on my pc just says it's not compatible. I guess the only way ill know is going back to my rom backup and see if it works.

Some apps are just not compatible with your phone ( GTAIII is an example, the developers haven't optimized it for SGSII ). You can still download any of those .apks elsewhere, and install them , chances are they won't work ( GTAIII does in fact work , if not by default , then by using chainfire3D). It's not, i repeat, it's NOT a bug in the market , or a bug in the ROM.

And suddenly I can't update Go SMS Pro (v4.33) in my Black i9100 (suddenly says incompatible) while it's normal on my fiance's White i9100.
Both international version, same ROM same installed programs inside, configuration, and version.
This once happeneded to me, maybe your DPI is not compatible with market giving you the error. If its changed return it to the value of 240
Nah, I never mess with DPI settings. Its suddenly like that.
Yesterday I can see it in the market and when it requested to update I just decline it because I wasn't in wifi area and decided to update it today but it now says incompatible. Weird...
While in my fiance's i9100 it downloaded perfectly.
And the build prop is stock. Also here's my config:

Hi! I got recently problem with my Android Market. I'm not quite sure what's the problem, but I think because I removed the important system applications. You know google's apps. The problem is that when I want to download an app from the market, it just stands on beginning to download the app, it never goes further....
How should i fix this?

Can you try to delete the market app from /system/app back it up to sd card
And then place it back and reboot

I can test, but I don't think it will work..
Go to settings - manage applications and scroll down to market (impt: only market app and not the other market related apps) and then uninstall updates. And then download the apps u want.

yes, I have had issues as well. No "downloads" were showing...
downloaded one app and now they are back.
could have been a Market server issue as well, but was screwed up for 2 days.
btw: the uninstall updates trick does work in most cases when Market is acting up

Hi this issue is affecting a lot of android users of all makes including the new blade/sanfranciso. DONT PANIC resetting will not fix this is a market issue i have contacted google by phone and will recieve a call from them which i will then update you all on asap you can follow me on @jayfromcornwall on twitter, dont mess with your phones or reflash you will be wasting your time just sit tight until i get the info back !! kindest regards to all from jay

I had this problem from last thus till yesterday. Was so p'd off I uninstalled the markets app. I'd recently updated and after uninstall the app was still there but as the previous version, it's working fine now. So I think it's something to do with the updates.

I have the same problem in Norway, some apps will and some apps just won't install or download. Have tried to reset factory settings and deleted app, in fact some new apps newer installed won't install to..

I have searched all over for answers to this, but can't seem to find anything definitive..
I updated to the leaked MR2 on Friday and am very happy with it except for the Android Market. After a successful update, I went to the Android Market to redownload my apps and noticed it was the the old-school market version. Thinking it would update itself, I didn't think much of it. It's now Sunday and it still hasn't updated itself. I'm not sure if this is directly related to the market version I have, but I can't find half of the apps I had prior to updating on the market. And when I go to install through the web-based market, it states that my phone is not supported.
I just wanted to know if I was the only one having this issue. I also wanted to know if there was a way to fix this?
**Running stock, non-rooted Thunderbolt.**
PS. Not that it matters to me, but I also noticed that none of the stock Verizon apps would work as well after updating.

I tried the clearing of cache and data of the market many times with many configurations (wifi, lte, 3g) with no luck. I will try the link above and see what happens.
I think it's a signature issue. I don't think the leak has the Verizon signatures and that's why nothing is updating and none of the Verizon apps work...
The link worked and updated the store! Thanks for that. I'm still having a compatibility issue though. I search for apps that I know are available for the TB and they don't show on the market. I go to download from online market and it states my phone isn't compatible.
Is there a possibility that the download I got was messed up?!

I installed MR2 and my market is 2.3.6. I cannot find anywhere there is a newer version. Correct me if I am wrong. I did nothing special to get it updated to this version.

Are you able to find apps like MLB.com at Bat and logitech harmony? If so, it could be possible I dl'd a corrupted file...
Anyone that's running MIUI notice that many apps aren't compatible? I'm trying to download a few today but none are showing up in my market. If I switch back to unNamed, they all show up...
Since I still have my Captivate connected to my Google account, I can just buy it to that and it'll be on my account whenever I switch roms correct?

yes you can buy with your captivate and you can put it on any device you own that is connected to the same account, out of curiosity what app are you not able to see using miui? i would like to see if i am having the same issue

I'm on Galnet too.
I can't see Backstab and Simcity today. Earlier this week I couldn't see Asphalt 6. Basically, EA and Gameloft games. Guess I'll get them on the website to my Captivate.
With unNamed I could see them fine.

Did you edit your build.prop? Check the dpi setting, manufacturer, and product settings and match them up to what it's in Unnamed.
I think it's just that our phones aren't compatible and won't work well with the games. I got backbreaker on the amazon app store and there were graphical glitches. but then again, if I remember correctly, asphalt 6 was available for free on the samsung appstore which means it should work...

Our phones can play games fine.
Anytime you use a custom ROM or even the (un)official leaked ROM, your market access will be restricted, mostly on paid apps but sometime even the free apps. Google maintains a list of officially sanctioned phones and their build numbers.

I had a few games that weren't quite perfect, like backstab HD (super laggy) and backbreaker (the stadium was a blob of grey)

I'm on task650 rom. I got need for speed shift the other day. It won't let me open or play. Says device is not supported. Which is weird, I thought or device can play anything.

I have no problems with unNamed but with miui I can't see any gameloft games.
Works fine for me. Only thing that I cant run on miui is betterbatterystats

I've downloaded the .apk from androidcommunity.com whose filename is vending-2 for some reason. Anyway, I have attached it, but personally haven't installed it & probably won't do until I get a better idea of how it functions with a 2G connection.

the stock dpi that comes with ics 320, the intersting thing is when i go to the google play store from my pc, and it asks which device i want to load it to it shows me having a i777 instead of my i717 that could be part of it. but when i go to the google play store on my phone all it pulls up when i do a search are the themes and widgets for tsf shell never the actual launcher. i downloaded the APK and installed it and it ran for a day then it popped up and said licence could not be found and shot back to apex.
im just curious if anyone esle is running the legit version and " how you did it"
