Tks man. Is a problem this tegra 2.

atrix autofocus video
You say tegra-2 not support autofocus in video? But in camera illusion pro autofocus in video work fine. May be its a programm problem?
Are you know app videorecorder with this function?

Interesting thing is that autofocus on video works perfect on leaked official ICS. The bad thing is I get screen tearing after a while so it's unusable for me.

Perhaps when mmonturi and krystianp are able to get the JB kernel working, we may have a working autofocus.

Camera delay

My camera is taking great pictures, but there is a long delay between shutter press and the screen returning to ready state. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a setting I have missed? Is there a better third party camera application with faster response times? I have had a number of Android phones and none have had this issue.

You have to go into advanced options and enable high resolution pictures, and there isn't a head focus, just a general focus... but if you're taking pics of something in motion, holy crap that does the trick. My note fired off 23 photos in 3 seconds.

LG camera crashes too much for me on the note. It seems most of the cares apps don't disable the shutter sound as well

Yes, And I don't think the camera was bad as the other guys mention above, It's a step up from our stock 2.3.6 camera.
I have installed a few camera apps, in addition to the stock camera app:
Fast Burst Camera
Paper Camera [awesome]
Camera 360
ICS 4.0 Camera
I keep the stock camera just for video etc., but find myself using paper camera the most.

lgCamera (not related to LG)

I found this thread in the main Android section. It seems like an excellent camera app

all thanks should go to the developer (RubberBigPepper), I am just the messenger
I found something weird. While using the lgcamera,if i touch the camera/recorder button mode (right-topsite), i hear a click sound and a vibration near the camera lens at the back. I think the sound does not come from the speaker, but from the camera lens, can anyone confirm?

on my Arc S nothing like this. maybe some of the options about vibration and stuff like this are enabled?
weird, anyway
recording video is better than stock app, but not so good taking pictures
I took some pics. But I found the stock cam is much better. Pics token with LG are not sharp and there is "a little fog" at the picture. You understand what I mean? ;-) App deleted!

Lost option to take pictures while recording video

I just noticed that I lost the option to take pictures while recording video from the back camera, but am still able to take pictures while recording video from the front camera. I noticed this after I flashed a few ROMs, but restoring from a nandroid backup or even flashing back to stock with Odin does not work fix the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

If you turn stabilization on (anti shake) you lose the ability to take pics while recording video. You just have to turn anti shake off and then you should be good

Samsung GS3 camera - the worst I ever had

Hello !
When I am recording a movie (with antishake off or on - is the same) camera is starting to refocus after every 3 seconds when I dont have moving persons/objects and even often when I have. So, my movies are useless (unlike my old iphone 4s which is recording perfectly). Is there any trick or settings to make it better or at least useful?
Thank you

I had to update my camera firmware manualy even after updating the phone to LG8
use *#7412365# to see if the Cam fw ver is the same as Phone fw ver. If the phone version is newer you can update using the Phone to Cam write (rear)
I dont have this problem, nor on stock rom or SuperNexus
based upon general opinion and a vast number of reviews of the camera including test pictures .I would return the phone under warranty with a faulty camera .

Definitely a problem with your unit.

Samsung GS3 camera - the worst I have ever had
I have the last firmware (LG8), camera fw version is the same as phone ver, you cannot choose autofocus to be on or off (in camera record mode) and this is not a problem with my unit (I was playing with a demo unit at samsung store - works the same as mine - and i have already read about this problem everywere, even in this forum).
So, do you think this is all I can get from this camera ?
Thank you

If you tap the screen while recording it will go to manual focus and it will stop the focus hunting every 3 seconds. A button wiill then appear to switch back to auto.

The hdr results on razr m and hd are very good. I have tried another apps from play store but the result isn't natural.

I hoped that in jelly bean camera would have hdr mode, but from what I've read seems not have hdr. Then, is impossible to have hdr mode on razr?

You can enable HDR mode by inserting the following line in your build.prop file. But keep in mind that HDR mode at dark scenes will make pics with poorer quality. It's only an advantage on sunny and bright outside scenes. So it's better to install an App like HDR Cam becuse this app can use the HDR mode from camera libs (if they are available).
Code:
ro.config.hw_camera_hdr=true
Use an hdr app, but if you're really concerned with shooting hdr with your phone...you're doing it wrong.

I'm searching how to enable the HDR mode in xt910 utms with a 4.4 liquid smooth rom, I write that line on the buil.prop and I restarted the phone but nothing happened, I like the HDR mode and I know there are several applications to capture with HDR but if is possible I would prefer to have it on the normal camera
