he'll need a custom kernel for that, jig is much safer

Look , i had the bootloop once. I tried to power down my device, but it wouldn't work. Took out the battery and it powered on itself - bootloop. Try holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons to get into recovery mode and then clear data/cache. I remember holding the buttons for 10 seconds before it actually rebooted to recovery

But if you read the heading of this thread gr4ndm4st3r_bl4ck, it says the home button is broke....

I'm not sure his button is really broke , cuz he didn't mention it anywhere in his post , just in the heading... Which makes no sense, who does any kind of flashing if their hardware button is broke... If it really is , then it's his fault for not taking it to repair first...

hold vol down + middle menu button + power .. try it also with it plugged in to power if that doesn't work ...
if you are getting the phone triangle pc screen that means you're soft bricked and you still should be able to get into download mode :/

That phone - triangle - pc screen is a forced download mode, I believe. Means you aren't going anywhere until you flash a working firmware. You should be able to flash from there.

It should, yes. I've heard of others flashing from that screen. (I've also told others who have been on that screen to flash, and they have reported success.)
I have not PERSONALLY done it, as I have never actually had this screen show on my phone.
Exactly right CTM.
I successfully flashed a kernel in forced download mode when my very first flashing attempt went haywire. Put me in bootloop tho for some reason. But it did enable me to get into download mode proper & was then able to flash a stock rom.

So, you and she learned a valuable lesson then. Do NOT under ANY circumstances use any firmwares or kernels for any device OTHER than an I9100G. The G is very important.
I9100G is not compatible to use I9100 firmwares or kernels.

You're ****ting me.
even if you were dumb enough to flash a bloody hero rom, you should be able to get into recovery unless they implemented a hero recovery into it.
get odin, put your phone in dl mode and run it, flash a new recovery.
Search the forums
Can you put your phone in download mode? Because if you can you can just reflash a stock rom from samfirmware.com onto it using Odin.
This thread may help you in reflashing a stock firmware:

I hope you manage to fix it
In future stick to roms made for your model only

I would say first try getting into download mode(by pressing volume up & the power button simultaneously). After that, connect your phone to your PC,run "Odin 1.85"(just google that sentence, you will get it), after that use odin to flash a stock samsung ROM to your phone.
download this stock ROM to be used with odin :
http://skywanker.net/download/downl...9100_XEO_I9100XWLP8_I9100OXALPS_I9100XXLPS.7z
the exact details on how to flash the link I gave above to your phone is on this link:

Good luck!!
Tried Vol up and power button but nth happend. Still Yellow triangle and black question mark....
For download mode its volume down home and power key.Try this if it goes in to download mode then follow the rest of the steps from the above post

You need to press the Home button as well.
I'd remove batteries, wait for at least 5 s. Then try entering Download mode with
(Vol Down Home, Power)
If it still won't work then you'd need to get a USB jig as noted in previous posts.
And no it is not your fault, KIES is not a very good piece of software.

Are you still getting this screen? This is a forced download mode. You can try an Odin flash from here.
apparently you are new to this so..... here it goes
1: first check you got i9100 not i9100G
2: kies told you to remove and reconnect blaa blaa so it can restore the error. if you cant manage to fix it, than easy method is like post above said. use odin.
3: read about how to use odin, close kies, download stock ROM (checkfus / sammobile ) and flash, it will be fixed.
4: no need for jig at the moment.
if ur in download mode jus use odin an c if it recognizes, yes means flash up....by the way kies is safe
Well i think i ve got I9100G, can i still use Odin?????

Well i opened ODIN put an I9100G Rom as PDA and pressed start but after half an hour it is still <ID:0/008> SetupConnection..
It's in forced download mode, it should still be coming up "COM:x" in ODIN right? You should be able to flash a recovery package from there. It should take 5 minutes at the most, not 30.
where did you get ROM from...what type of file????

Ok so basically I assume you know how to use Odin and what it is? You will need the phone's original firmware, which you can then flash to your phone via odin using the 'PDA' button. All of this will be done while your phone is connected via USB to your computer, and make sure it is in 'Download Mode' (vol down + home + power) when flashing it.
still crying

Could have at least read the rules mate, and/or seen the xda 'noob' vid, search, but I understand your urge to fix your precious phone.
Anyway, I would go about it like I said above:
- Download original firmware (.tar.md5 file)
- Open Up Odin, then click on 'PDA' and select the original firmware file
- Make sure 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time' are CHECKED
- Boot into Download Mode on your phone
- Connect the phone to your computer
- On Odin, press 'Start'
- Wait for it to finish flashing
After that, your phone should reboot automatically and work again

Stop panicing! That just makes everything worse
First of all; have you got a USB download-mode jig? If yes, use that. That will basically force the device into Odin mode, so you can re-do the flash
If you don't have one, then buy one from:
eBay
Amazon
mobiletechvideos(.com)
or get the stuff, make your own
Once you have any type of Jig/Dongle, whatever you want to call it, I call it a jig, plug it into the phone. Unplug the jig and plug the phone (via USB cable) into the computer, start Odin and flash stock firmware (Which ever you want, GB or ICS)
Once you've done that, flash any type of C.-recovery and then you can (carefully) flash a different ROM. I would recommend using recovery-programs anyway, as they esnure that everything goes to plan, Odin just flashes away and checks everything AFTERWARDS, CWM checks before AND after
Well, anyway, hope I could help you!
Thanks

Resetting won't help anyways since you flashed for the wrong device. You need to go in the download mode which is power + vol. down + home button, then via Odin flash your firmware.
