Hi,
In simple way you can break your SIM lock. Just get unlock code to unlock your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Contact your network carrier and ask for unlock codes. To get code you have to pay some dollars. Else get unlock code through online service. There are lots of service providing unlock codes. If you go through the website Mobileunlocksolutios.com to get unique unlock code and easy instructions for your X10 at affordable price. Here you can get reliable service for your mobile. After unlock your mobile you can switch to any network.

what to you means by?

[Q] Little, maybe dumb, question

You have to unlock bootloader in order to do that. Read the thread about SE tweaker tool in the mini/pro development section also check out xxxlordxxx's thread about his one click tool.

Can you really confirm this... It's the first time I heard about that, and would provide a free way to unlock xperias,

AFAIK, no...
There exists two kind of locks,
SIM Locks (that lock the carrier), there is no free way to do this.
Cheaper way I found is the one unlock credit from Omnius, but you will be unable to unlock the bootloader. Same thing happens with several "unlock by software" methods. Read about it before unlocking if you plan to flash CM7 anyway after unlocking
BootLoader Lock, that prevents from replacing the kernel... It's free to unlock. And changing the kernel is required for the unofficial CM7.
Be careful because some unlocks work by patching the firmware, so upgrading it would sim relock.

Well, the device was bought from Vivo carrier, which said the device was unlocked, but I was not able to use sim card from Tim carrier. After flashing miniCM7 it is working. Maybe was a coincidence or bad contact between SIM card and the device. I have no idea how to clarify this now...

When you inserted the other carrier sim, and restarted the phone, did it asked for the unlocking pin code? Did you restart the phone? sim cards can't be hot plugged.

I've sim-unlocked my phone just by using SE updater and updating software from 1.6 to 2.1. Phone was locked to Telenor Serbia. So, what kind of lock was it?
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
It is possibility to unnlock via unlocking bootloader. My phone was locked on tele2. And after i unlock now my phone is sim unlocked. I already try to put in sim cards of other mobile networks.

Thanks a lot for the reply, very informative. I would probably use a paid service but since i bought these phones for 20 eur each, it's almost the price of the phone to unlock it, not really worth it.
Can you expand on BootLoader Lock? I though it did not do that, from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 third myth says it does not do that. what gives
tried this: unlockbootloader sonymobile com / instructions but my phones don't have the Bootloader Status parameter, guess I'm SOL

Bootloader unlock allowed: no

when i check *#*# code7378423#*#*
in service menu
Bootloader unlock allowed no
what should i do???
i need to unlock my bootloader
please pelp
get an unlock code from your network provider, some people have said that once they removed the simlock its let them unlock the bootloader. if that doesnt work then theres not much you can do untill someone works out another way to unlock it
no fastboot mode.
Theres only one solution I know of, and it may be a crazy one....
Use search first, and read the other 500 threads created on this topic ;-)
Short answer: No, not able to be done yet.

If you want to unlock the boot loader, use the wotanserver.com
* In addition to sim unlock you get an unlocked bootloader.
However, it seems to me that at the moment, this service does not support SXS
Try to write the administration service.

= the post above was completely unnecessary as it does *NOT* provide a way of unlockning bootloader for SXS.

What is a "rootable bootloader"?
For the Croatian members:
I've just called customer service of Vipnet( Vodafone) and they told me that there is no problem, you can unlock boot loader for only 480 HRK (~65€).
Well, if there's no free unlocking solution in few weeks I'll have to milk some cash. It's still better then locked for life.

Pay more for a phone that's SIM-Free and not subsidized by a network. That is the only way.

What about U/P/Sola

[Q] Unlock network in Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman wt19a?

Hello, XDA Community.
I have a peruvian Live with Walkman, which I cannot use since it is unlocked to a local provider (Movistar). I want to use it on AT&T's 3G network but I can't since the phone is not unlocked.
Is there a cheap -I wouldn't complain if FREE- way to network unlock it?
I am sorry if this has been asked before. I coudln't find anything on this topic :S
Thank you in advance!
Try woton server
Sent from my E15i using Tapatalk 2
as said above mate try wotan server but not free
Thank you both for your reply. I will try Wotan this afternoon. Some say it unlocks the bootloader affecting warranty. Is there a way to lock the bootloader?
If I ever decide to flash my device to another ROM, will the network unlock be unaffected?
Thank you.
If you unlocked the Bootloader and Network, after flashing a Kernel or a rom will not affect to the Network.
yeah, you can unlock the bootloader, just please search. There would be a tut for that.
Good Luck

[Question]Unlocking Bootloader & TurboSIM

Hey folks, I've been nugging around the bootloader unlocking problem, since I own a Neo V which is locked, and the service menu in the phone says that the Bootloader cannot be unlocked. So I've read through some threads about this, and I wondered upon the idea, if I unlock my SIM lock(probably with TurboSIM, since thats the cheapest solution), would that enable me to unlock my bootloader, and start the real modifying of my phone?
What do you guys think? Worth's a try?

no is the right answer
Contact your network provider to remove sim lock on your device ( if your on contract and haven't expired/over yet maybe they will not do it for you) after you removed the sim lock, you can unlock your boatloader and mod your phone..
For me Linus Torvalds is the greatest man on earth

ok, as far as i know you can remove the SIM lock by entering a network/SIM unlock code. You can usually get one from your provider. You have to pay them of course... :crying:
I know that german T-Mobile phones can be unlocked that way, not sure if its the same in Austria...
Removing the SIM lock does not affect the status of your bootloader! If its locked it will stay locked.

Thank you stothegee, I really apreciate your help!
I have been looking for a topic about it in T-Mobile website and I didn't find nothing good.
In the meanwhile I found this service:
cellfservices com => "unlock-sony-st27i" (I can't post links yet)
Do you know it? I would like to know if it's reliable or not.
Thank you for the help
