Hi, I'm not new to Android and I have experience rooting and modding android devices, But I would like to take it a step further. I would like to be able to develop my own Android OSes from AOSP to run on my devices (My goal is to have ICS run on my Photon 4G) but I have no idea where to start. I don't know what KIND of OS Android is Other than Linux or what kind of programming language I should learn in order to be able to port distros to my devices. I understand the basic concepts I just have no idea where to start! Any help would be appreciated and I hope to here from someone soon. =]
TL;DR Summary: What are the beginning steps to being an Android developer for porting the versions to different devices?

Software Tools

Hi Everyone
Is there any software tools to develop your own Samsung Galaxy Note Roms...
I cannot find it anywhere I was wondering if any of you can point out the right directions where to start and where to download software.
I know how to develop Windows 7 Mods is it something like developing Windows 7 Mods.
I never develop Android Rom before I would love to try it and it looks like fun & I like to try it out.
Thank You
Check in the Development section.

[AOSC] Android Open Source Compiler

Hi Bros
i found this thread on section Android Software and Hacking General
I think it can help to compile ICS or JB to our jetstream
check the following link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906777
is that just suppose to be a visual aid for rom building? i can't say i fully understand how..
specifically for us, wouldn't it be eaiser to port from HTC vivid?
I also hope and wish that the developers would do a rom ICS for Jetstream, a device

I think The Best Way to create a Custom Rom Fast N Easy is to Create it by Android Kitchen.
Look in the android Cook section and XDA university. Avoid kitchens. They are not for people that want to learn to develop android roms, they are basicly for noobs.
