It just turns them on/off with the exception of changing colors for the notification light.

This is pretty nifty.
Just in case someone was wondering what the use-case for this could be, try this scenario; you're having issues with your LED and you're unsure if it's just the ROM or something is physically wrong with the LED.
This could prove to be quite useful in diagnosing it.
Great work, yousefak

Sweet, I was wondering when something like this would arrive.

Is really like a script that makes my led blink different when I have missed calls or texts. For example it would flash green red green red green red really fast for a missed text, or green green green red red red for a missed call. All over a period of a second or so.

If you want notification led support, try light flow from the android market. I used it before and it works very nicely. You can make it flash colors, change speed, combine colors, etc. for different notifications.

[APP] LED Control - Light Flow

Looks like an interesting App for controlling your LED notifications. Try it out and report your findings!
Light Flow - LED Control
I used the lite version to test and it worked well. I purchased the full version and it gives you lot of additional options for custom alerts for many apps. I like it.

So does it work on the Photon? Since the Photon has the red, green, blue and white LEDs can you make the app mix them to make other colors? That will be interesting!

This app is terrific. Reminds me of the trackball notification colors on my Nexus one... Just another thing that made the Nexus a great phone. And the Photon is also great phone...
Sent from my Motorola Photon 4g
I like this more for the sound notification control then of the actual light control. the led stuff is pretty cool though.
fyi for anyone trying to use this, you dont need direct access to test your notifications; just turn off the screen after you start the test.

neat app but doesn't work for what i want - which is to see a red light when my battery is charging and a blue light when it's fully charged.
when i plug in phone to charger, there are no lights

I have a feeling that this is a limitation of the ROM which Motorola put on the phone because the LED works when it is charging in 'OFF' Mode, Power off and plug in charger it semi-boots.
Yes just what I was looking for
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Funny thing is that that feature only works when the phone is powered off.

LED colors
I have made a chart of the LED colors that the different settings in Light Flow output. Several of the color settings in Light Flow look similar on the LED. It is hard to get the color of the photograph to look true to the color output, so these are blurry, but fairly close to the actual color.
Blue, Red, and Green are unique.
Bright Pink, Indigo, Magenta, and Purple all output the same. I would call this color Magenta
Cyan, Sky Blue, and Turquoise are the same. It looks Cyan to me
Deep Orange, Gold, Lime (huh?), Orange, and yellow look the same. Basically Orange
Lilac, Pink, and White look the same. This is a pink color
Hope this helps you set up your notifications.

Thanks for posting up that chart. It's really useful to me (I'm the dev of lightflow)
Those colors don't quite look the same as on a Nexus One (which is my main development phone), so it's interesting to see how the photon represents them.
I think I'd agree with sandtiger about the rom not allowing charging on the colors. The app does set this information (and it works on other phones), but not the latest motorola phones.
If you've any questions or requests about the app, just post here and I'll try to respond.

If anyone can get any different looking colors out they would like from the app "led color tester" by coolbeans then give me a shout and I'll try and add them in.
Note if you've got lightflow on your phone you'll need to uninstall lightflow first for led color tester to work as lightflow will override the notification and it won't work.
Hopefully at some point I'll get around to adding an RGB custom option - I did have one in dev, but it kept leaking memory and crashing for some reason.

1.yes it has
2.multi colored LED, you can change the colors via that settigns menu you mentioned.
3.in sgs2 BLN is used with touch button lights, so not sure about this part.
anyway sgs3 will be my first mobile with LED notification
Led notification, is for me, one of the best features of the S3. I know, it's something simple, but I think it's great to have it on the S3. It's very helpful...
Hi,
Will it support Lightflow so you can choose which colour for which notification - this is a great feature on my Galaxy Nexus as you can tell whether you have a missed call, email, SMS etc without picking up the phone.
This would make the new smart vibrate function on SIII redundant!
Cheers.
I didn't know that many phone did not have a LED notification. Actually my past couple phones have had them and were very helpful. When I heard this might not I was confused as its a top of the line phone. Different colors for different people and programs = no more randomly turning on your phone.

[App] Fix red eye

The only one red-eye remover that REALLY works!

Store link: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/fix-red-eye/fe6d5935-a2d8-4f1c-9135-113c3e00466c
I decided to write this simple app because when I moved all my pictures from the old Lumia 900 to new 920, I found a few (very rare, actually!) pictures with "red eyes", and full absence of the working apps on the Store! (there are few apps pretended to remove red eyes but all of 'em are not working, at least on my pictures!)
This app is working 100%, try yourself! If something not correct or app can't fix the issue, please let me know here and I'll fix it ASAP!
Red eye removal procedure is easy:
● choose photo to edit;
● adjust yellow circle around the eye by drag & pinch gestures;
● press 'apply' button;
● repeat for the second eye;
● press 'save' button.
You may adjust effect intensity by slider.
Photos will be saved to 'Saved Pictures' or 'Camera Roll' albums, originals will remain unchanged (because of WP8 API limitations).
For the limited period of time application will remain free, so hurry up, share 'Fix red eye' app with friends!
May be, in future (if I found time for that) I'll add algorithm to automatically detect red eyes on the picture (but this one isn't simple!) and will ship $1.33 "plus" version.
Thanks a lot for this app.
Should be apply more darker color rather than green. Nice app indeed
Wherу did you found a "green" color?! There is no "green color" applied; just red pixels values calculated as an average of blue and green: r = (b + g) / 2
Depending of the original picture (and the real eyes color), the resulting eyes may look gray, brown, greenish or with some blue tones.
BTW, the new version with additional slider (to change eye color tone) is ready. Will be published as a paid app ($1.33) a couple of weeks later.
P.S. AREMA, could you please:
- open corrected picture on the desktop and check for "green" color?
- send that picture to me (and tell me what is the correct eye color - I'll do some experiments...)
Thanks!
"Fix red eye" received update to version 1.1. Added WP7.5 support and eye color tint. Enjoy!
No longer free FYI

How to use Eye Comfort mode in EMUI 10.1

Mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives, bringing us great convenience and enabling us to keep up-to-date and entertained. However, indulging too much in the virtual world in the palms of our hands can result in eye problems such as dry and sore eyes, and decreased vision. But don't despair - with Eye Comfort, you can stay online for longer while protecting your eyes. Let's find out more.
A lot of eye-health issues can be blamed on the blue light our screens emit. However, if you enable Eye Comfort, it will filter out harmful rays. This will cause the screen to turn a little darker and take on a yellow tinge. This tinge is actually a blend of red and yellow light, and is the result of reducing the blue light. It is particularly helpful at night when you don't have so much ambient light.
How to enable Eye Comfort:
You can either go to Settings > Display & brightness > Eye Comfort and enable Scheduled or Enable all day.
Alternatively, swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel, then swipe down again to show all shortcuts. Touch the eye-shaped icon to enable or disable Eye Comfort. Hold it to access the Eye Comfort settings screen.
f you cannot find this icon in the notification panel, and drag it to upper side of the panel, and it will appear.
EMUI 10.1: Updates in the Eye Comfort Settings Screen
You may notice some changes to the Eye Comfort settings screen when you upgrade your phone to EMUI 10.1:
A Scheduled option will now appear on top of the list of settings. When you enable it, Start and End options will appear below it. These are followed by an additional setting, Enable all day.
Once you have updated your device to EMUI 10.1, you can adjust the screen hue by dragging the Filter level slider. If you want to filter out more blue light, just drag right to "+", and the screen will take on a more yellowish tint. If you feel the yellow tinge is too strong, just drag towards the "-" at the opposite end, which will filter out less blue light and make the screen brighter and whiter.
You can drag the Filter level slider regardless of whether Eye Comfort is enabled. However, if it is off, your adjustment will not change the actual screen color temperature.
Remember that though Eye Comfort will help protect your eyes, it does not mean that you're free to spend long hours staring at a screen with no break. You still need to control your screen time to protect your eyes.

Question Notification LED

Hey Guys,
I wonder if the 1 III still has notification light. Anyone saw something?
Greetings
Well, maybe you'll be able to spot it.
I couldn't but most likely it just blends in very well. I watched a similar video on Xperia 1 II and couldn't spot it either (II has the led).
Even more, all the Sony phones I've seen have it. So I will be really surprised and disappointed if 1 III does not.

Light Manager 2 changes the color of the LED but not the flashing frequency
I hope this notification led to be bigger.
Anyone remember great W980 calmshell and its transparent plastic part with orange led inside? This was acting as notification led and looked awesome!
I wonder why they no longer create so beautiful phones like W980
Now we just have a "dot" but it is still better than nothing.
I still hope for xperia 1 Arc flagship, maybe with some of this W980 design?
how do you know what the light means? sometimes i see white and sometimes green (when not charging). all i do know is when charging, orange means charging and green charged.
Red color means battery level is 15% or below.
Orange color means battery level is between 15 - 90% and charging.
Green color means battery level is 90% or higher.
Now different apps may show notifications / blinking notifications with different colors. For example in what's app you can choose what color notification led should have for notifications coming from this app so that tou know it is coming from what's app
Anyone know if there are any other apps to customise the led notification light aside from light manager 2?
Another problem I noticed is the following. When the phone is on standby with the ambient display activated when a new notification comes the screen is not activated although I have selected it in the settings. This of course also happens in Samsung but applications like glimpse notification work there. It does not work on Sony, however. Have you found a solution for this? Also for the ambient display it should have an activation schedule
