It seems like office depot and best buy have the transformer prime in stock! I just cancelled my order from amazon and now I'm going to get it a lot quicker. If any of you are facing the same problem with amazon not shipping this tablet quick enough, i would suggest you cancel your order and buy it from office depot or best buy!
I would keep the preorder from Amazon until you get a tracking number. I ordered one from best buy yesterday and then it got put on back order, sold out on the website, then became available again to order yet I have not received a tracking number or shipping notice.

Yes, I ordered from Best Buy yesterday at 1:30. Paid for express shipping ($42 for two). Was told "processes in 0-1 days" expected delivery of 12/30-1/3. It hasn't changed at all since then. I am suspicious that Best Buy has left that link up since yesterday. Why are they the only vendor that seems to have an unlimited supply? Very suspicious, especially considering that it's the special internal link that was set up for people who pre-ordered the champagne color and needed to switch to the gray. Once I have a tracking # I'll feel better!

Okay!! It's official. 30 cases all sitting here (minus 1 that is mine)! My whole basement smells of pleather and I love it!
I have personally looked at all 30. All of them are essentially identical. I have only noticed that some fit a little tighter then others, so you have to work it in a little. All the holes line up correctly. Not every one of them has the camera "PERFECTLY" in the hole, but I have found none of them that cover it or interfere. I picked a tighter one that caused the top strap to pucker up, but it's already settled down.
Final Price = $26 (includes the shipping charge) ***was $25, but most of first shipment was $1 more then I had estimated (sorry)***

Please read the threads and review the links I gave. This is final version zpad case (not a protoype). All the holes should be cut perfectly, just the USB/Micro SD is covered by side strap.
Once I have them, I will post my official review and comments.

I had a difficult time trying to get mine a few weeks ago. A BB employee was nice enough to call every store within my specified distance that had 1 in stock. Most of the stores he called didn't have one even though they showed 1 in stock (he assumed it was the floor model). We found 1 store that put their hands on one and I drove an hour to get it.
So, go to the store and ask politely if they can check stock in other stores. Other than that, you could try a used one on ebay.
I just called their customer service and asked when i could expect the tablet as it was an xmas gift and they said our first shipment is coming in on the 23rd.
I then asked
"i see a 19th date flying around the internet, so you won't have it on the 19th"
he replied
"Our systems show it is arriving on the 23rd"

That sucks I won't have it by Christmas. Maybe I'll go and check out my local BB real late/early the night of the 18th (to see if they are open) and to try and get one off the self and then cancel my preorder

Well when I check the forum and 2 back to back threads in the General section say the exact same thing within a couple of hours of each other, it makes you wonder if people actually take the time a read other posts and threads before starting a new one. I mean literally the 2 Expansys threads were back to back saying the same thing. I could understand if they were 2 different subjects about the store, but they were not. This type of mentality is cluttering this section up. Its hard enough trying to read through every new thread that is created and trying to actually find out something that is new, and not already posted in at least 2-3 other threads. But hey if you want to call me a troll for reading 2 threads back to back about the same thing, created only a few hours of each other and commenting on how the OP could have easily posted in the other thread instead of starting a new one, then I guess I trolled this thread.

1. One references the pre-order from the store and the other one says the pre-order from the same store ships on the 23rd. True, it doesn't say the same thing exactly word for word, one just goes more into detail about the first thread.
2. If buried means that it would have been the 18th post in the thread, then sure everyone should just post a new thread once a thread has reached 15 posts since no one will read past the 15th or even 17th post.
I was just trying to point out that this info could have easily been posted in that thread. I wasn't trying to attack you or your thread, just making a point that this info could have been put in that thread, and would benefited people who went to that thread and have already posted in it before your thread was created. Then all the info would be all in one place and not in multiple places. It makes trying to find out info easier in IMO then reading multiple posts on the same subject. correct.. point was it was info for all, important to all.. not just info for people tracking that specific preorder.
hell i haven't checked the bestbuy preorder thread of 20 pages. i would love to know when they are getting stock, and i would totally love for someone to make a thread with it in the title. as i am 32 years old with a life and don't read every post in every thread ever made.
but i understand certain people get their rocks off by running around suggesting people to use search.
i called them (spent over an hr on hold) i was told the 23rd is all they now. Im going to hold on to this order, not like it is costing me anything

hehe. that's how I found out about expansys late last night. Was just kinda reading every single post about this thing because I was bored and wanted to find somewhere to buy it

Also note that it says "first shipment". No way that first shipment covers all their pre-orders.

So what happened to the Adorama pre-orders thread with thread id of 1379332? It was still here this morning and now it seems to be deleted. I have the old link bookmarked and it will not load up. I also searched for "Adorama" and the thread does not show up.

I was following the B&H thread (which the posts from are now showing up in that larger merged together closed thread) and there actually was a B&H rep who posted in it a couple times.

Sad that Helen (adorama) and Henry (B&H) now are merged into the tonnage of the mess from the multitude of pre-order threads.
I do tho understand the mods needed to do something, and I'm sorta glad they DID.

I agree! Not all of us have gotten our pre-orders yet and it was great having the Adorama rep posting updates to the Adorama pre-orders thread. Now I fear that we will no longer be getting any updates from her on this.
I wasn't aware that the "new" thread is now closed too. So we definitely wont be getting any updates from Helen (Adorama rep). This really sucks!

The latest update I have is that the purchasing manager had reason to believe he would be seeing a steady stream of units shipping out by the 3rd week of January.
I've asked for a confirmation that this is still the case but haven't heard back, yet.

It's now the 4th week of January and my order is still "pending" (and no info from Adorama ...)
Helen, can you please provide some info?
I ended up cancelling my order with Adorama and picked up one from NewEgg when they had one in stock. I then picked up a dock from TigerDirect when it was in stock. I now sit with a nearly perfect 64GB Grey Transformer Prime and Dock and a 32GB MicroSD Class 10 card (which I got from Amazon for $39, Deal of the Day). Everything works great on the Prime, WiFi is great and GPS is so so. The GPS works after the latest update but just not great. I don't really use the Prime for GPS though so it is fine with me.
I would suggest setting up alerts on NowInStock.net for the Prime and Dock so that you are notified when someone has them in stock and you will be able to get your order in before the run out, which is usually very quickly.
I'm wanting/waiting for a 64gb champ (w/dock) ... seems I've picked the absolute worst combo.
Then again I've not had to RMA (yet)!

They probably cancelled your order. They cancelled my preorder and never said a word. It wasn't until I called up and asked why the processing info never changed that I was told it was cancelled. Never dealing with them again.
