YEA I don't see that happing especially after the bootloader unlock. Maybe before it was unlocked people would have jumped on it, but your friends chances are definitely slim.
Didn't you gave the Rezound and switched to the Gnex when it released or did you keep it?

I saw the title and thought "OH **** NEWT IS GETTIN A GNEX?" But then I read

x i have complete faith in that haha and also, de-sensing a rom isnt all that hard, once it drops we'll get a de-sensed version shortly after if not by x or another dev, ill release my own cuz in all honesty their roms would be 81636482 times better than mine.... xD

So I realized that it's not the phone Companies that sucks with updates for any phone.......it's TMobile that sucks....went to a version store and att store....all there phones have been updated....rezound has sense 3.5....nexus with ics......and some other things....even hardware wise......their products look much nicer then tmobile

Same as we are getting. I saw a link somewhere here that quoted HTC or tmo saying the remaining HTC phones that haven't been updated will get 3.6... :/

I give it 2-4 weeks tops after we get ICS before we get a working port of Sense 4, since it sounds like the only thing stopping devs are kernel shenanigans
and lets be real here, no phone company's perfect, look how long it took for the american version of the xperia X10 to get 2.1, 2.3 was already officially released for the international version by then!
But the rezound was released with Sense 3.5....

Its not about when the phone was released, its about when the phone was first being developed, IIRC the amaze started development when sense 3.0 was just starting while the rezound started back when 3.5 was the next big thing

Hey glacier, I was reading up on that whole imei thing a couple days ago... So has it been determined that it's people flashing wrong? They hadn't determined the cause last I had checked.

Im thinking its people flashing cm10 but not on tmobile... everyone is still brainstorming right now... meanwhile im layin back in the cut wating for things to sort themselves out. It has something to do with cyanogen and/or AOKP. I think ppl flashing those roms are the ones losing imei, and since those are my 3 fav roms and only ones i want to try out... i will wait patiently. Im willing to bet its user error tho. Steve Kondik is devving the CM builds himself so I doubt its an issue with the ROMs

And HTC wonders why their profits fall as they forget about flagship phones, first 4G phone, first HD 720p phone, etc...if u can't keep those updated then why keep buying from your company? HTC better redesign their business model or bye bye. Even Motorola is only gonna slightly theme on top of Google updates so they can update within 3 months of a new release. I will protest against HTC by buying the new X phone by google and Motorola.

Verizon only cares about the popular phones. You can't blame them if they make money from it.
With the Bionic getting OTA 4.0 and Razr getting OTA 4.1.2 shows that HTC is slowly digging their own grave. They are always late or deliver an incomplete update that breaks something that needs and update to fix it. HTC flyer comes to mind....they broke it with update then simply walked away like a child who broke something acted like it never happened.

I disagree. I feel it's a fail on your part for even considering it will get Jelly Bean. Why are you so worried about what Motorola is doing when you have a HTC device?

Posts like these bother me. The phone got ICS months ago and now peopel are whining like little babies, "I WANT JELLY BEAN! HTC SUCKS!" HTC IS FAILING!"
To be honest I probably won't get another HTC device in 2013 when I upgrade, but I'm not whining about my Rezound either. I paid a mere $60 for it 3 months after it was released.
I will laugh at the naysayers and whiners **WHEN** we get official JB OTA.

I don't think the Rezound was meant to be a flagship in HTC and Verizon's eyes. It was just a device to have something to sell near the holidays and was never too popular sadly.

If this is how u feel then why ever update the phone past what it comes equipped with. You are missing the entire point I was trying to make. This is hands down a better device than the Razr but is being held back by HTC that would rather build new phones than update them. My last 3 phone have been HTC, my next will be the X phone. If my thread bothers u so much to bad, it was a news update and opinion from me, we still have free speech....for now anyways.
