[Q] which kernels can be used with sensation rom - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys,i was wondering which kernels can be used with the Sensation rom,i was looking in the rom thread but the links have been removed by the mods.
thanks in advance

Everyone that works with Samsung/Sammy/TouchWiz roms. They always write it in their threads.
Recommendation from me: The Siyah-kernel. It works with every ROM and is good.

Yeah should be able too I imagine there's stock roms posted in the Galaxy S2 forum somewhere.
Yeah just visit samsfirmware site and download the version your phone came with or something newer and official for your country. Flash it and your ready.

Read the first page of the thread for the kernel you want to try. That will tell you which roms it's compatible with.
No suggestions. Reasons being you use your phone differently to everyone else, have it set up differently & no two phones come out of the factory the same. So you won't have exactly the same experience as me with a given rom or kernel. Also, many people who are users of a particular rom or kernel end up being total fanboys, rendering their opinion on same biased/meaningless.
So...Try out a bunch of roms/kernels until you find one you like. With CWM, it's so easy to backup/restore & flash roms/kernels there's no excuse for you not trying a bunch out for yourself.
Thanks man

Closed, "best" rom threads are just too subjective to be constructive.

You can search the threads for guides. I don't use HTC so I'm not familiar with it. Starting you can find a ROM that is suitable for your firmware. Gt i9100G. Be sure not to get GT-i9100 ROM because its two worlds apart. Once you done that, go to cwm and fully wipe everything. Then install from SD card. If the roms has aroma installer you are good to go. To get detailed guides please search the forums.

[Q] quick kernel question

Hey guys i just downloaded and flashed Liquid Smooth Jelly Bean Rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1972331
I was wondering, i am very familiar with flashing roms, but I have never flashed a kernel. As i understand it is the same process as a rom, but i was wondering if I am able to flash using any kernel (written for the sgh-i717 model). If not, could anyone give me a few good kernels that would work with the Rom i flashed from the link i posted above? Any help appreciated
