Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 Random Reboots - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

My SPG has been randomly restarting itself. It has happened 3 times now and it's getting annoying. It usually happens when I'm at 20% battery or lower. I don't think it's low enough to shut itself down. Anyone knows why this is happening or a solution to the problem?
If it's any help, I just recently rooted my device using SuperOneClick. I also overclocked my CPU to 1.152GHz using the app Tegrak Overclock.
Thanks.

I think rooting it might be the problem. I have the Galaxy Player 4 and I have ZERO problems with it.
My Galaxy S II however is a different story. after rooting it, it reboots randomly AND if I having it charging and I turn it off it turns itself back on.
Rooting is OK but sometimes it brings unexpected and unwanted problems like my jail broken iPhone 4 does.
If you can live with it, Id say don't worry about it. its a media player not a phone so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Random Shutdown and Overheating

My aunt is using this phone. She told me that her phone will have a sudden shutdown about 2-3 times a day and will get very hot when she woke up in the morning.
Since she does not know anything advanced, she is using the stock rom came with the Ace since day one and i have not done any modifications to it.
Any idea why?

Maybe reflashing the phone to the latest firmware can resolve this issue.

Wifi settings...
In detailed WIFI settings set sleep mode as: never. For me is work.
is your Aunt that techie of a person? if not she's probably leaving a lot of things running in background, maybe Wifi left on, GPS on, 3G connection active etc. that could lead to CPU being busy causing the heat-ups and auto-shutdown (this is actually a safety feature to avoid damaging your processor)
Maybe she closes apps with home button
XDA ♥
I find it heats up when charging if i'm using it. But not too bad. As phones get more like laptops i assume we will get the same issues.

Screen doesn't wake up

Hello,
For the past few weeks, my Samsung Galaxy SII is acting really weird.
If it is left for a 2-3 hours unused, the screen doesn't wake up.
I tried calling from another phone but the phone doesn't ring but the person dialing me hears the ringing.
The only way to make the screen wake up is to reboot the entire device
This was happening for sometime but the time period of it's occurrence has gone up drastically since i updated to the new firmware via Kies a month ago.
Please Help Me as i want to get this sorted with before rooting my phone.
Never had this happen to me but worth a search for SOD or sleep of death. At least I think that's what it's called.

Thank you
but instead of a "patch" like Load Monitor, i wanted to know if there were any permanent solution to this problem
Unfortunately that's all I know about this one. Hope someone else can step in to help.

[Q] Galaxy S3 Auto power off

My S3 is fully working. Only the issue is power goes off automatically some time later if it is not used and left.
Does anyone help me to fix this issue?
Galaxy S3 Turns Off (Fully Off) Overnight or When Unused
Having exactly the same problem.
When my Galaxy S3 is left for a while (more than half an hour or so it seems) I find it is not in idle mode, but has fully turned itself off.
The question is, whether this is due to a crash, or intentional (which would be a terrible feature if you wanted to receive a call overnight.)
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it? - The first S3 I had developed screen issues and exhibited similar problems, turning itself off. But it turned out that one was faulty - the screen was corrupted after a while and it would not turn back on.
So, is there a feature we can turn off which does this that we can turn off? Or is it simply a flaw, and if so is there a way to trace it with say, logs or something else?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
No problems here. Running rooted stock rom and stock kernel. Maybe you've downloaded some faulty app thats screwing your phone.

Hmm... Perhaps, but if an app can cause your phone to shut off entirely without user input?... surely that's an O/S security issue
Well, I've seen a few other people with the same issue, I suppose I could try a factory reset and try for a few days without any extra apps. (Arg! The pain of no apps!)
Widgets could be a culpret I suppose. Still, turning off entirely? Seems a bit odd.
Anyone have any more ideas?
Experienced same thing when i was still new to android. Phone just reboot itself and sometimes it lights up itself with out touching it. Then i read somewhere that it could be some app causing it so i did a fresh start. Wiped up everything and install a stock rom thru odin. From then i always read user reviews and its permissions when downloading apps and when i find the permissions fishy il pass on it.

[Q] Occasional random reset [All Carriers]

Out of curiosity, has anyone experienced random hot reboots?
Once in awhile the S3 will stop responding for a few seconds, then effectively hot reboot. All apps close and it reloads the home screens.
Apps no longer appear in recently used. Like I did a full reboot.
T-mobile rooted stock ROM. No other changes or tweaks to the system other than root.
Happened to me twice in the last day. 1st time it happened, I just finished using a flashlight app, 2nd time, it was just sitting there in my pocket.
AT&T Still Unrooted Stock.
This seems to be happening at an alarming rate for me, every other day perhaps. And occasionally during a call (not good)
Find it hard to believe we're the only 2 with this problem.
Maybe no one else stares at it long enough to see it happen. Maybe someone has noticed when they look at their phone their recently used apps have been cleared but don't know why.
Happened to me once during clipboard usage. Tmo here
This has happened to me multiple times within the last couple days on telus i747 rooted and stock rom and kernel.
Happens here also.

The only problems I've ever had were either xda or minimal reader pro locking the phone up, screen goes black, force closes said app and then phone goes back to normal. But it's definitely the app(s) having the issue

My GS2 has hard bricked

Hello,
I think I have hard bricked my galaxy s2 GT-I9100 (France)
It was working well with the official Kies ICS update.
I installed Sygic Navigation Trial app from Play Store.
Then I started Sygic. It asked me to select maps to download.
I selected some and started download.
When download reached 1800M over 2400M my phone suddenly stopped working. The screen was freezed.
There was no response either from the home key neither the power button.
I removed the battery.
Now the phone doesn't start anymore. There is nothing on the screen. No samsung logo, no battery indicator. No sound. No vibration.
Could someone please help?
I suggest you send it to samsung service center

Yes I have tried all key combinations.
The phone had just been charged all night before.

So many SIIs dying due to weird reasons recently, dafuq? Mine died twice already! First time was fixed with a free new battery from sammy but now its dead again...... same reason i think. I let the battery run from 100% to 0% and now its dead Battery dont wanna charge no boot no screens no vibrations... Something is wrong in there...
I still cannot power on my sgs2.
What I have noticed is that when I let the battery in the phone, 10 min after I can feel some heat like if the CPU is working at 800mhz.
I think that the phone is endlessly trying to boot, but resets even before reaching the first samsung logo.
My fear is that the mmc chip is corrupted. I heard there was bugs in the emmc firmware with the wear leveling.
