[Q] kernel oc - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

i am using cm 7.2 by vo-1
can i flash oc kernel by ketut?

yes. In fact I'd advise it, as kernel included has more problems.

[Q] Ace Overclock App ?

What is your Overclock Application used? Do you use one? Where you can set up to 1Ghz?
I am just using SetCPU.
But this is not an Overclock but a CPU management.
you will require a special kernel which has to be developed just like a CM port, and only then can you overclock.

Which kernel should I select ?

Hi guys can anyone tell me that which kernel I can use for overclocking the speed of se lww mobile.. PLEASE..
THANK YOU...!!!!!!!

On what os and device?
All popular custom kernels have oc capabilities, Rage, Krsh, M.E.S.A and also kernel panic i believe.
Usa any of those (or the one suggested in the rom ur using) and then use a program like setcpu or no frills cpu to change values.
kernel panic is very good

I'm using cm9.1 n when I use rage kernel... it often automatically reboots n hangs my device.. and also drains my device battery very fast..so tell me which is the best kernel . ..with over clocking n good battery back up....
Sent from my LiveWithWalkman using xda app-developers app
It deppends on you. Almost all kernels support overclocking. Rage Kernel, Mesa, Extended Stock. They all are good and have they own tweaks
You cannot use any other kernel when using Cyanogenmod Rom except the kernel supplied with it because Cyanogenmod kernel and Rom and very much dependent on each other . The ramdisk of cyanogenmod kernel is unique and can only work properly when it is used with a Cyanogenmod Rom . If you want to use other custom kernels then use some other custom Rom .

2013 obviously. Yes its stable.
Sent from my GT-S5830i - Hit thanks if I helped
Of course you should flash the 2013 version as it will be more stable. You can also try thunderkernel which can overclock upto 1.04 ghz. I use thunderkernel. it is nice and stable.
