CM7 theme on CM9 - Defy Themes and Apps

well preety straight forwards..
1- is it possible to install themes meant for CM7 on CM9?
2- Yes! >> how ??
3- Drawbacks..
want to theme my defy . currently on 23rdDec nightly with ADW launcher and things getting pretty stale.

Are any of you working on themes that would work on 2.2. 1 roms?
If your running 2.2.1 rom like bases off js5 js7( honey sweet). You can use the theme found in i9000 theme thread.

note: remove the service.jar from the themes before flashing the i9000 themes, or you gonna soft boot.

Is there one?
Currently using Cognition 1.5.1. Would love a AOSP theme

I just flashed to CM7 rom and liking it. Now I want to theme it but am I restricted to CM7 themes only ?

Yes indeed, you are restricted to CM7 themes only.
But why not use Miui at this point? miui is totally based on CM7.
uh what are the differences between miui and miui galnet ?
I am on CM7 now wanting to change to MIUI as there are more options for themes
Whats the latest MIUI version I can get at the moment ?

I dun know how to change themes for OpenOptimus. And i saw the theme chooser in Cynogen Mod. Anyone can make flash-able zip for theme chooser
Theme chooser will not work in open optimus..theme chooser is only for cm7 sources based roms..but openoptimis is based on lg 2.3 so it cannot be got!

Flash to CM7 & enjoy Themes
Actually, atm i'm working to let cm7 themes work on openOptimus.
I got sick and tired of old kernel and baseband so i flashed oO.
I let you know, im currently working on ICS theme for oO.
But dont flash themechooser, it will crash!

i'm searching for an fully functional Androidian theme .apk for our lovely ace. I extracted one from newest stable CM7 release but it looks a bit weird. Not that bad but... odd...
Im running Icecream Sunday 2 Final which is based on CM7.

Easiest option I know of is to download "theme changer" from the market by jrummy16 and find it there. There is also a huge thread listing CM7 themes with links, just search this site.
