Tablet Remote (control vid players or provide virtual gamepad via secondary Android) - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

With the Prime being a multi media power house it's very conceivable many of us will hook the Prime up to various TVs to watch our media. Walking up to the tablet to control DicePlayer or whatever media player we use isn't very convenient.
Here's a free app I found that provides a solution to this scenario (and also works as a virtual gamepad) that I'd thought I'd bring to people's attention:
Tablet Remote:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tournesol.tabletremote
Visit the market link above for a more verbose description of how it works with screenshots. The gist is you download the app to both your phone and tablet and pair them up using Bluetooth. On the tablet it installs a software keyboard that you enable/activate. Once both devices are paired control commands are sent through the easy to use phone UI to the soft keyboard on the tablet via Bluetooth.

Thanks I will try this with my evo3d when my prime comes today.

Bump because the app was just updated today to add connectivity between Android devices via WiFi.

I'm appealing to any of our communities talented Android developers.

I was watching a movie via mizuu movies on my Motorola Zoom (which was connected to my HD TV via the official Motorola Mini-full HDMI cable. And the only way I could pause, rewind, stop, and so on, and so onwas to use the Motorola Bluetooth mouse, which was tricky on my couches material.
I just thought it would have been easier if I could control the xoom using my HTC desire HD. Would any developer be interested in making a remote control app that does android to android connection via Bluetooth with nice ui that would allow me to pair my desire HD to my xoom and use it to control and\or select media on my xoom?
Also, an app that could toggle my xooms screen off but leave the live output (via the hdmi cable) on my TV would be great. (A little like on a PC with two monitors. Where you can choose to one screen, the other screen, extended desktop or mirrored output)
I have searched both XDA and Google for viable solutions but so far no joy. If anyone could help or provide information on a product currently available then please get in touch. I would pay for an app like this. And if it was made available free then I would make a donation towards further development.
Thanks for taking time out to read this and look forward to hearing from you.

LogMeIn Ignition on TF201

Does anyone have this app on their Prime yet?
I have it for my Droid X, with the small screen, and using it can be annoying as my desktop is set at 1920x1080.
I would hope that the screen size and resolution of the Prime would make this app much easier to use.
I've tried it on my Prime. It works well. I don't feel like it works any better than on my phone, it's just easier to see, haha.
doesn't the splashtop app that comes with the prime do the same thing? is logmein better?

LogMeIn allows you to remote into multiple PCs with just one or two clicks, not at the same time mind you.
However if you have more than one PC, you can set them all up on the same LogMeIn account and access them from any mobile device with the app or through any web browser on any internet connection.
I use it for technical support for my parents and friends.
Splashtop can do multiple PC connections too.
Tried nearly all of the remote desktop apps a while ago and purchased Splashtop because it seemed easily better than the others - in no small part because it is able to use external keyboard and mouse properly (including the Transformer dock). None of the others I tried at that time did, including Logmein.
I originally used Logmein, but switched to Splashtop remote desktop. Though i recently updated to the new version and i have to say I'm loving the new version of Logmein better. I can view multiple monitors at the same time on my Prime. Also changed the way the screen cursor works as well.

Ooh, multiple monitors - that is nice! Does it finally play nicely with external keyboard and mouse inputs though?
I took a video showing Splashtop with the Prime and a Logitech Wireless USB (Unifying receiver) over HDMI to my HDTV FWIW:

I agree also
Splashtop is not showing in my list of apps but I see it in titanium backup. I can't even run it from TB. Anyone else see this? I'm running ICS now

Under MyCloud>MyDesktop should be the slashtop app. So far it has worked pretty well on both my mac and PC.
I use Remote RDP by Yantao. There is a free version, which I used and it was great. I can't remember which version it was, but I think I shelled out for the enterprise version (~$20), mostly to show support. The ~$10 version and up have the best features (obviously). My favorite is the ability to attach the storage on my phone as storage devices on that computer through RDP, without any additional software or protocol. Great for when I need stuff from my document library at home.

I use pocketcloud like everyday. Never had any problems with it.
+1 more for splashtop. Its fast enough to play games.
Another great free app for accessing your network is SHARESFINDER.
https://market.android.com/details?...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zY2FuLnBsYWNlcyJd
"SharesFinder is intended for scanning wireless local networks for shared resources (SMB, FTP, HTTP). You can explore SMB resources directly by SharesFinder, HTTP resources with Android browser and FTP resources with another tool supporting this protocol (FtpCafe recommended).
SharesFinder is a simple analog of Windows "My network places". Also, it can be used as SMB client."
This one works great on a tablet and supports RDP (Windows Remote Desktop) and VNC and is really cheap compared to other Remote Desktop apps (0,99€). You dont need an extra program on your PC, which is always nice!
Jump Desktop:

no one has mentioned TeamViewer! It's great and free!
I use Teamviewer. It's free for personal use and works fantastically on my Prime.

LogMeIn Ignition works well. But, it is $30.

Best remote desktop app I've used to date.
Can any of these apps be used to control other tablets? Like could I control or play my Ipad apps/games through any of these methods?
Remote desktop by xtralogic works well.. paid app but works good ... figured i would add to the list
Also Using Teamviewer without any issues.
Use 2x Client.. it works great and it's free
ive been looking nd looking for one that works with right click and mouse middle button (external blutooth mouse) but no dice. Any recommendations?
Team viewer as well. love controlling my PC with my Razr, Prime or NetBook.

[Q] MyNet feature

Has anyone here tried the "MyNet" feature of the tablet to control a computer through your tablet? How do you like it?
I'd like to take advantage of that for websites which stream video but are not compatible with mobile browsers of any kind. It would probably require being on the same wifi network but either way, pretty neat.
BTW, I love my Prime!! Got the issue with gps signal capture but I got my cell phone to direct me if I'm lost in my car.

The app is called splashtop. I believe there are a couple of threads talking about this application. Just to let you know there is a THD version that is up on the market now that works better and faster then the bundled version though it costs money. I am using it now and can connect to my home computer from work and its super fast. I love it. Use it at work all the time during meetings to connect to my desktop. The bundled version will close the connection on you due to a bug in that version. The THD version does not have this issue.
Just my 3 cents.

actually hes talking about the MyNet app that comes with the prime
its not a desktop mirroring tool it just allows streaming of media (pics videos music) to the prime from a pc
its actually pretty cool in how well it does it but it can stream MKVs though
It also allows the downloading of the files from the pc to the prime...its a nice way of moving files without having to plug in or use a sd card or dropbox
i wish it allowed folder downloading or multiple downloading rather than having to do a single file at a time.
Yeah, the MyNet app is a DLNA app for streaming media between DLNA devices. To me it seemed to be a decent proof of concept app, but I have found three apps that do a better job: 2player, BubbleUPnP, and iMediaShare.
iMediaShare can stream from several internet sources to your DLNA devices, but it's unfortunately still not optimized for tablets. It forces you into portrait mode.
For streaming music from my Prime to my blu-ray/stereo, I typically use BubbleUPnP.

Well when you read the op he states talking about controlling your laptop.....was confusing.....i use MovieBrowser UPnP.....just love the way it organizes the movies.......
So Op, sorry for the confusion.
I've used both apps and had good success with them.
I really like the MyNet app though as its a simple program that lets my stream movies/tv shows from my NAS to the TV in my bedroom. No more lugging the laptop up the stairs and clearing a space to put it!

Are you sure you mean the mynet app or do you the splashtop hd remote pc access function in the my cloud app?
From reading your poast I think that you mean teh My desktop feature in the my cloud app which is splashtop HD remote app which links up with a splashtop streamer app on your PC !! and this does not require you to be on the same wifi connection...I often use it to connect to my pc when away from home to check on email accounts etc
I'm sorry, it is the "mycloud" icon on the screen that I meant. From there you find the "my desktop" option which uses splashtop.
i know it is off topic....but i have used PhoneMyPC for years. love it. great app for controlling your various PCs from your android.
Loving mynet, works flawless with all my gizmos. Sitting waiting for someone to start using cornerstone in a rom and i will use it as my main tv interface.

[Q] Need to control my mp3 playlist on my Android tablet with my Android phone.

I'm using my HP Touchpad running ICS which is hooked up to my audio system in my yard. I'm currently running Skifta to stream all my multimedia to the tablet. It works perfect.
I am now trying to figure out how I could control playlists in real time using my phone (Evo) on my tablet. I can't seem to find a dedicated media server app and remote app combo for Android. This scenario is easily accomplished if I were using a PC instead of a tablet but due to the circumstances I'm not. Anyone know of an app or apps that may let me accomplish this?
