I'll keep that in mind. I have 2 cars, so I might keep both the mounts, but I may let go of one of the docks. Depends on if I want one on my night stand and on my desk at the office, or one or the other.

Nice grab.

Wow talk about being extremely jealous let me know how you like the dock Im thinking of getting one

I can definitely say it's a nice thing to have, but maybe not for what it's been retailed for. I mainly use it on my desk at work, and I have one on my nightstand for my overnight charging and alarm clock. If you find a good deal on one around the $20 range, I would definitely recommend getting one.
As for the car dock, that's been a great addition. It charges, and make it easy to use for navigation. I haven't taken it on a trip, but when I do, I trust it'll do wonders for me.

As for this troll, here. He/she felt the need to PM me directly to tell me that I troll and rage on the forums, and that I don't possess the knowledge to "rage" on the forums. I've asked that they either not bother me with their accusations, or come clean on who they are, and what qualifies them to tell me that my conversations on these boards are unacceptable.

Quick question for those of you using the cradle. With I Grip, I know that once docked, it launches the Car Panel automatically. Does using the cradle launch anything in particular?
Also, since I am on the topic, do you any of you guys know if there is a way to turn off the auto launch

When you put it into the cradle, it launches the "Dock Mode" application automatically.
And yes, there is a way to turn off the Auto-Launch feature for the Dock Mode application. Open the application and go to Menu > Settings, then uncheck "Auto-Launch."
You can even set it to automatically turn on your HotSpot when connected. Just saw that, pretty cool.

Desk Stand?

Just wondering if anyone has bought a desk stand for their Transformer, any to recommend? I've searched and although I didn't see one specifically made for the Trans, there are some universal stands available.
I don't want the official keyboard attachment, thought I'd better mention that just in case.
There is one on amazon (US though). It's perfect and everyone keeps asking where I got it from. I fits any tablet really. There's a thread on the XOOM forum somewhere

I think I've seen that one in a search result, how do you find it for stability? I'd hate to have something that's easy to topple.
There's loads on Amazon but none particularly cheap. Cheapo option is to use a picture frame or plate stand. Sounds stupid but they do the job. It's not like you'll see them once the pad is on it. Either that or you could make one yourself if you're handy with tools, and don't burn down the house.

That thing is stable as a rock! I put it every where... I even keeps my TF upright when it's standing on the mattress at night! It has padded rubber feet and the same rubber at the part where the tablet rests so it cannot slip easily. Well worth the money and it's foldable....

Good grief the prices for the Arkon stand range from just under a tenner to £37.58! Someone's having a laugh!
Told ya. This one looks kinda funky though: LINK Can't see why it wouldnt work with the tf.

The biggest issue with that stand (I have one) is that you can't really have the charger connected whilst it is sitting on it.

Why cant you have the transformer's port at the top, and plug it in that way? The screen will adjust fine. You need a usb 3.0 extension cable of course though.

Legos + a little time = Great car mount!

I really wanted to have a nice car mount for the tablet.....So I took out my old Lego Technic blocks and came up with this... I did super glue 4 of the pegs in back that supports the mount onto the car but other than that its all legos holding legos. The post that the whole mount is slipped on top of is and old 7" screen mount I use to have in my car....I think the 10" screen looks better than the 7" ever did!

Pretty cool setup. What program/app is that in your third PIC?
The apps called torque its a obd2 engine ecu reader. You have to but a bluetooth obd2 scanner dongle that plugs into your car, i paid $20 shipped for mine off ebay
Purdy sweet. Did you have to glue the pieces or are they pretty secure without some type of adhesive?
Never mind I guess if I read the post instead of look at the pics I would have answered my own question. duh....
Haha thanks! Its defiantly cheap to make and it also can double as a stand for the gtab when its not in the car as well. The only thing I need to change is to lower the holders on the sides just a bit so I can get to the back button on the right side.

Charging cradle? In landscape?

I am very concerned about the charging port being positioned on the side of the phone. I love the OEM HTC charging cradle for the Evo 4G. I set it in the cradle and I can easily see the screen from my desk (and flip through things) while it is charging.
How am I going to get the same effect with the 3d? I suppose that it could sit in landscape mode (I saw a 3rd party charger like that), but Sense doesn't go landscape, right?
Who knows lol. It could if they wanted it to, I'm sure that issue was thought of though
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
The new Sense does landscape quite nicely, no worries. And here is the HTC Dock
Nice looking cradle!!
I hope someone carries that for less than $50, screw that price.
cradle availability
Has anyone purchased the cradle yet? Or are there any alternatives for less than $50? I don't even see it listed on BB's site anymore....

Really? It does? I would like to see that can you share the setting to make that happen?
Now I do know there is a Dock Mode setting that shows in Landscape but it does not allow you the full use of your phone. I also know that most apps will work in landscape. But I am almost 100% sure (and would love to be wrong on this) that the sense interface does NOT do landscape on this phone.

+1 i second that statement. sense 3.0 does not have landscape capabilities on the homescreen...
i have been searching for the cradle if anyone has one please let me know where you ordered it! every site i tried says they are sold out.....
While playing with the phone I noticed Dock mode... Pretty sure if docked it will automatically go to this state and there the landscape problem won't exist... Dockmode is a lil weak imo tho
Bussin Caps from my 3D shooter
Has anyone found or picked up the official HTC cradle yet?0, And if they have is the enough room for a case, just asking because the photo shows the phone pretty tight in the slot without any case
doubtful that the case will will work this type of dock

It's for pre ordaer, but it has a second battery slot in back and is only $31. They have one without the second battery slot for cheaper. They look nice and the ones they made for the og evo were great.

Mine is the stock dock and it goes to portrait easily.
Am I missing something?
I'm not using the stock mount, just the dock itself. It's mounted with a universal mount that doesn't swivel. I recommend the craigsdock because overall, its much nicer than the iBolt.
I use this iBolt ProDock. Fits the extended battery nicely. Hoping it lasts because I am tired of buying a new dock if and when I buy a new phone.

I have the CraigsDocks dock as well. Not only is it universal, and made of aluminum instead of plastic, but it is made by a guy who has outstanding character. I bought one of the original docks, and it worked fine. It ended up on the floor of my car (kids...) and got bent. When I tried to straighten it, I broke it. I contacted Craig to inquire about a new piece for it, and a new suction cup mount (he doesn't make these, just sells them as a courtesy), and he said that he had made improvements since I got mine, and that he was unhappy with the strength of the original ones, so he sent me out an entire new dock, cable and all. Talk about going above and beyond... I BROKE IT, and told him so, but he still felt he was responsible and sent me a new one. He WILL get more business if I ever need another dock, and I will sing his praises here as well!!!
