Overcome 2.2.0 lockscreen wallpaper not working - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I upgraded from Overcome v2.1.1 to v2.2.0 and it is no longer possible to set the lock screen wallpaper. In the Screen setting when I select the Lock screen wallpaper it sets the Home screen wallpaper instead.
Anyone else have this problem?

Nope, this problem use to be in resent versions but solved in 2.2.0, for me at least.

I would but I don't have enough posts to be able to reply in that section.
The lock screen wallpaper can be set if I select an image from the gallery. When I did that it set the wallpaper but the device crashed and reboot itself when I rotated at the lock screen.
I did have Widgetlocker installed when I upgraded the Overcome ROM. I'm guessing it may have screwed up something with the Screen settings menu. I've uninstalled that app but it made no difference.

Look issues in @alterbridge post:
"Unable to set lockscreen wallpaper from android 3.2.2 launcher (use the TW launcher patch if you require this functionality)"
My question is:
Are you sure that you install twlauncher patch?

It is possible to set the lock screen wallpaper from the gallery so I probably won't use the twlauncher patch.

Have you got this solved?
i believe the patch will definetely solve this. I had this issue with lock screen in 2.1.1 version and I had to install the patch and it worked fine after that but what didn't work was the calendar, social hub, ebook and facebook videos on facebook app. even though i applied the patch available then.
I am still looking for solution to the above and tonight I am upgrading to 2.2 . fingers crossed - hope it sorts out all the above.

experienced the exact same issue that you mentioned.
cant change the lock screen picture and when try to change from settings>screen> it changes the HOME screen BG.
This is a complete wipe OC 2.2 rom install.
I didnt want to apply the TW launcher patch and had no choice as I want to be able to change the lock screen graphics. After the patch it works fine.
But i want it to work without TW launcher.Any one would know if it is possible to remove the TW launcher patch and revert back to original OC2.2
btw the OC2.2 is perfectly smooth!!! love it and Big thanks to the dev team.

if you are not rooted, most probably you will see two lockscreens.
anyway, lockscreen alternatives are; widgetlocker, lockbot, lockit etc......
Does anyone know how to replace the standard lockscreen on a rooted stock 2.2?
I have Widget Locker but now and again the original screen pops up and it can be a bit of a pain sometimes.
Thanks.

in my opinion, the reason you see 2 lockscreens is because of android system 5 second rule. any lockscreen other than stock one, will have to wait 5 to initialize. however, in widget locker you can bypass this rule. turn on home helper option in behaviour, and make sure 5 sec bypass is checked. if it is unchecked, check it.
hope it will help.

This is an issue with htc sense roms. on aosp roms like cm6 or cm7, the original lock never shows up with the 5 second root bypass rule activated.
Try Lockbot Pro..it has a variety of Lock screens to choose from like Eclair style, iPhone, Froyo etc....it shows up only one lock screen though..and you ve an option to unlock the screen using any hardware button not just power button, nifty feature
For not visualizer 2 lockscreen you must use no lock

Wallpaper not full screen?

Hey all, new Atrix owner here coming from a MyTouch 4G. I'm completely perplexed here. I switched my launcher from the default blur launcher to adw launcher ex. Suddenly there is a black bar at the bottom and right of the screen that the wallpaper does not fill. I took off wallpaper scrolling and the wallpaper is completely centered but with a black border around it. I can't seem to get my wallpaper full size! I suspect it has an issue to do with me using Titanium Backup for a lot of my apps... maybe the launcher or something takes the phone and screen size into account when it gets installed. I've reset adw launcher to default config and that didn't work. I really would appreciate any help with this before I have to randomly uninstall and reinstall apps. I put a white wallpaper on there and removed the bottom dock so you can see the black border i'm referring too. Thanks for any help!
I think it's related to Atrix unusual resolution. Maybe ADW doesn't have a fix for Atrix screen. You should email the developer and ask him if it's fixable.

Hmm, Adw is pretty popular though, can anyway else confirm this? Thanks for the response!
Confirming it is doing the same thing for launcher pro... This is so frustrating. When i started up launcher pro it was fine... i went to preferences, changed wallpaper scrolling to off, and went back and the wallpaper shrunk! Then i went back to preferences and changed it to scrolling and it didn't fix it. Changing the wallpaper didn't make a difference again. UGGH!!
Did you delete then reinstall the app? I know a lot of my games especially didn't transfer over phones with titanium backup. But uninstalling then redownloading from the market worked

Yeah, i uninstalled all the apps that work as wallpaper choosers, as well as all the launchers and redownloaded them. Ughh, still not working. I am however using multipicture wallpaper and that is working at full screen. This is so weird!
Go here ------->
Wallpaper Wizardrii
This app will allow you to set any wallpaper on your phone, and also select options such as making it scrollable, fixed, etc.

I checked this out. It rectifies the problem but I can't seem to get this app to do the wallpaper right. It always enlarges it so you can't see the whole wall. It's getting there though, some of them I could use. So thanks for this but still hoping there is a fix for what i'm going through... maybe one other lonely soul had it happen and knows what they did to fix it.

GO Launcher Ex Wallpaper Zoom

Hey everyone - having a slight problem with my all-time favourite wallpaper (which I brought along from my Symbian device) in combination with GO Launcher Ex.
Whenever I try to choose it as my homescreen wallpaper it gets zoomed in and very pixelated - TouchWiz doesn't have that problem.
Unfortunately Google & site search weren't able to provide a satisfactory solution ..so, anyone have an idea how to get it working?

Try to get that pic in 480 x 800 resolution, it will fit perfectly for portrait mode wallpaper.

Cheers mate, seems to have worked!
Blew the pic up to 480*852 first and then cropped 52 pixels from the top (only black anyways).
Resolution still seems to be fine enough.
Guess another possibility would have been to make a new all black 480*800 image and copy mine into the centre of that ..
Mmh. Will try that aswell.
*edit*
Crap. Just installed the newest version of GO Launcher and back to zoomed wallpapers we are - regardless of size. Only way to fix it is to switch back to TouchWiz and then back to GO Launcher again - which sucks.
!%#'"ยง!
What if you use Wallpaper Set and Save or Wallpaper Plus? They come out very sharp when I use apps like these.
I have noticed this bug as well. I can get it resolved by going back to the default launcher temporarily, set the wallpaper there, then relaunch Go Launcher, and it seems to be correct. It only happens to portait pics where there is no background scroll though.
Could it not be due to the wallpaper being in scan mode (as you go through the 7 screens the background image moves along)? Because in my HD2 (in SD Android) would select a square-ish area from the centre of the image I wanted as a wallpaper. When I changed it to the same image for all screens, then the selection of the image was in the same shape as the screen.

Are those Apps? Haven't heard of them before and might give it a shot - however there's probably also a certain increase in battery use associated with that method, something I'm not sure I'm prepared to accept.

Yup, exactly the same here. If only it weren't for the GO Launcher Calendar widget, I'd try another launcher or stick with stock TouchWiz ..

I have unticked that option, the background isn't scrolling.
Meh..

The problem seems to be known but possibly not recognized as a problem by the GO Dev team:
After the research, it seems the wrong of Android system. Because the API we use to get wallpaper of system give us the zoom wallpaper.

Also, another possible solution seems to be https://market.android.com/details?id=org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture - however, Live Wallpaper = more juice required.
Same here happened. I just switch to TW luncher and back to GO luncher
Actually, installing the latest update of the GO Calendar widget seems to have fixed the problem.
When I installed it the wallpaper first bugged out again but when re-setting it, it worked fine without switching to TouchWiz. Perhaps that'll work for someone else, too.

Had same problem, stopped using stock gallery to select wallpaper, and started using qpix to select wallpaper, and it works fine for me now. Seems problem for me was the stock gallery app I was using to select the wallpaper.
Currently having the same issue and neither TW or GoLauncher is playing nicely with me.

I am having a problem I am using GO Launcher Ex and my backgrounds appear to be zoomed in a little bit even though when I'm setting the wallpaper it is fully zoomed out with the orange box. It has only recently happened because it never did that before and it happens no matter what wallpaper I set.
Android 2.3.6 CheckROM GT-i9100
Anyone have any answers?
Thanks.

Just an update: I found that switching back to twlauncher fixed the problem with the wallpaper! Switched back to Go Launcher Ex and it stayed fixed. Weird.
In case that doesn't work
Hey I found that my background would not scroll if I swapped to the tw launcher and then back, and it seems that its the default wallpaper selector. I use wallpaper wizardii and choose the scroll option when setting wallpaper and it works great.

Dual Lock Screen

Hey guys,
I have Go Locker but my stock lock screen refuses to go away. I have tried No Lock and other similar apps.
I am running Eclipse 2.0.4.
Thanks in advance!
I had that same exact problem running Go Locker. If I rebooted, it would fix it for a while, but the problem always came back. I switched to Widget Locker and my stock lock screen doesn't appear anymore. Personally, I just thought it was an issue with Go Locker since it stopped once I switched to Widget Locker, but someone more knowledgeable than I can address if it's fixable. I never found a way, even after changing and manipulating every possible setting.

[Q] Disable stock home and stock lockscreen?

Im on stock samsung rom, rooted ofcourse I have 3 simple questions...
Is it possible to disable/remove Stock Home/Launcher?
Is it possible to disable/remove Stock Lockscreen?
If yes, how do i do this..?
anyone? I think i fixed the home one! i just deleted it in system/app
Yes to launcher and no to lockscreen.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
since u r rooted you can install a systemapp remover application and use it to uninstall the launcher completely
or you can just download a launcher replacement (say: apex,go launcher ex) and set defaults to it
as for the lock screen you cannot remove it but you can also download a replacement (say: widget locker, milocker)
and set it as default
i hope i`ve answered you questions
You can go to settings.. Security and set screen lock to none.. If that's what are you asking.. Technically you can't remove the lock screen.. But you can disable it
Need some help, I have flashed several roms and kernels and now I can't change optiones for my lockscreen. The weather does not work, can't change the clock position, I've reflashed the stock rom (4.0.3 UHLPE) and nothing works.
What can I do?
ty guys
