where is the stock rooted latest update? - HTC EVO 3D

Sorry for the noob question. I am not a noob to rooting or flashing, but I am new to the 3d. I just got one sent to me from Asurion. It has hboot 1.40, which I know I can root with revolutionary, which I am going to do shortly. But the software is on 1.13.651.7, which I can see if the rom the phone originally shipped with.
So I am trying to find a stock rooted version of the latest update from a few days ago. I just spent a half hour trying to find it, and all I can find is unrooted versions of it, which will probably update my hboot to 1.5, which I dont want. So can y'all help me out and point me to the thread with the stock rooted zip of the latest update that I can flash WITHOUT updating my hboot?

Have you been able to downgrade your NON ROOTED Hero from official 2.1 to 1.5?

Since I can't figure it out anymore, what is the correct answer, I will make the question...
Have you been able to downgrade your NON ROOTED Hero from official 2.1 to 1.5?
YES or NO???? In case you're answer was YES, tell us how you did it.
I downloaded the RUU from HTC and installed it as always.. If your phone looses connection after rebooting to bootloader, you will have to reinstall the "My HTC"-driver from Device manager..
BTW. shouldn't this be in Q&A section?

what? you simply downloaded the RUU and intalled it?
What should be the problem about that?
It took 1,5 minutes to reinstall some certificates/signatures, but then it just installed as always
No, you have to use the goldcard method. But yeah, then you can downgrade official 2.1 to official 1.5 and root again.

Never used goldcard at all?
Really?
I didn't check without but you might as well be right, I thought HTC wouldn't make it that easy... Especially since all xda members warn us that if you install the update you'd never be able to root again. So wrong.
I've tried to downgrade from Chungwa official 2.1 rom, back to official WWE 2.73 and it didn't work even with the goldcard, it gave and ID error. Do you think the goldcard procedure hasn't been done correctly?

But they cannot lock you out, as they haven't made a new RUU.. So you will have to be able to reinstall the original software to update
Not sure what you have flashed, but a few people have come over to villainrom looking for help.
They definately ended up with a locked bootloader and even the goldcard method was not going to help.
Don't say you were not warned well in advanced, been threads saying do not officially update for months now.
Just download official 1.5 RUU from HTC website and install. Goldcard isn't necessary.

If the 3.15 RUU only updates you hboot only you can find the fix here
Don't run the JB RUU it is known to cause problems. Relock your phone and take the OTA. It is the safest way.

I locked the phone and did the ota, but whe ir rebooted it it got stuck in the first menu where you can chose recovery and fastboot. I removed the custom recovery and relocked the phone. I downloaded the update again and this time it got stuck in recovery. Do you have any idea how ro get this update to install?
I got it to take the OTA update. I had to remove the custom recovery, lock the phone and install the stock RUU for the version I was on. Now I just need to get s-off and I'm good.
Thanks for all the help.

tampered/locked/s-off [solved]

VERY long story how I got here, won't get into it. I'm now on hboot 1.12 and need to re-unlock my bootloader. As stated in title, I'm s-off with a tampered/locked status. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.

If you have s-off, you don't need to unlock. You can flash things through the bootloader. What are you trying to do? Recovery? Update firmware? Once you're s-off through Lazypanda or Dirty Racun you keep s-off.

That should be all you need to do. Be careful with firmware though. Make sure to do it in order. Flashing straight to the newest one has been causing bricks.

Most of the hboots in the section are for devs and modders. If you just flash roms to get root experience, there is no need to worry about updating to a new hboot. Only time it is absolutely necessary is when HTC releases a firmware update.

Most of the devs are working on OTA updates to their individual roms. I would just wait for whatever rom you are running to be updated. Saves you the problems of trying to fix your device if anything does go wrong with the OTA.

That's not the newest radios, and no, they are not flashed through recovery. They are flashed through the bootloader. If you aren't planning on updating to Android 4.3, however, those are the newest and will work fine. For more info, click the top link in my sig and read the section regarding firmware updates.

You are right, I forgot you do flash them in the boot loader. My question now is that I'm currently on 4.1.1 but may in the future update to 4.3. As a result, can you point me specifically to the file that I need to flash in the boot loader. Is the file I need to flash in the boot loader called 4.13.651.4 Sense 5 Android 4.3 - Odex or is it something else. Sorry for asking such stupid questions, but I'm getting confused.
If you want to update to 4.3 you should run the RUU. That will make sure everything gets updated. The RUU will also change how the internal storage is set up. In that same link I mentioned above, there is a link to all the applicable RUU's for this device.
