New update today on Asus support, anyone try it? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

My TFP doesn't have an update but I noticed there was a new on on Asus support today.
Has anyone tried it?

there's no new update. just checked. you might be talking about the ICS they put on their website.

It shows 12.01.17 update

I don't see anything in about tablet specs that's even close to that number. what description does it give? I checked for update from tablet and it shows nothing available.

trying now.

I already have that. I have that build number already. its just the one they already pushed out OTA last time. now its just available online to do it manually if people want or haven't done so yet.
build number 9.4.2.7

I have build number 9.4.2.7.12.01.06
Asus web d/l appears to be 9.4.2.7. 12.01.17
Isn't that newer?

Don't do it!

Just kidding!

I am wondering if they just through that number on it since it was the day the uploaded it. Who knows since there is no change log for it.

yea it just the number on the date it upload.. cause after download and it unzip it .. it the 2012.01.06 build ...

I flashed it. This one did format /system where the original ota did not. Of course I had to re root. Everything else is the same.

[Q] Can't find GTA III in the market!

I bought GTA III on the release in the Android Market.
Now I switched Custom Roms and I wanted to download it again but I can't find it in the Market anymore.
How is that possible and how can I fix it?
Thanks !
Try using http://market.android.com and send it to your phone rather than downloading it through Android Market App.

Any other solutions? Otherwise I should get the app in an other way. Although I purchased it and I want updates..
Hmm perhaps market does some silly things like checking for your firmware details and/or kernel?... Try flashing another kernel for example (I highly recommend SiyahKernel and if it doesn't solve itself, just contact google support and ask them your question, they answer in matter of hours and try to be helpful as they can.

When you get your Prime do not install any updates if you want root

This is probably obvious to a lot of people and I should have known better but I made the mistake of thinking the first two OTA updates would bring me from Honeycomb version .27 that my Prime came with to .29 then .33. I was wrong. The FIRST update that was pushed to me was ICS. It took a very short time to download for me which is why I thought it was just an incremental update. It did not give any warning it was ICS. It was simply called a firmware update.
This is my second Prime, I returned my first. ICS updated just as fast as my first Prime updated from .27 to .29 which is why I thought this was simply one of those updates.
So, if you want root when you get your prime do it before you install ANY OTA updates because the very first update you accept will be ICS.
Don't worry, sooner rather than later they will find a way to root a prime that runs ICS.
After all, the new ones will have that running in stock.
I have a root for ICS that i will be posting in development shortly, so don't worry about updating.

htc one m9+ supreme camera

hi guys.
firstly its my very first thread so please ignore the poor posting.
i have a htc one m9+ supreme camera (m9px) hong-kong version.
after flashing a faulty SU the official/stock firmware went faulty and didn't boot back on.
i had to wipe the whole device to be able to try new rom or even firmwares. here is the problem i cant find anything for this phone!
sure i did manage to find a Taiwan version which i flashed but Baseband, radio and ota is not working.
i found a HK version on "easy-firmware.com" and "ir-file.com" but i think it was a fake one (check out the pic).

}
thus no chance found there. interesting thing is i didnt find the m9px recovery i managed to find a m9pw (htc m9+) and flashed it surprisingly its working , yet it seems because of the difference in models (hiau_ml_tuhl for m9+) and (hiaur_ml_tuhl for m9+ sc) every time that i want to install ota it goes to recovery and recovery cant flash the ota.
so if someone could help me out in any ways i would really appreciate it. or would you send a back up your phone (same model) to me to flash would be awesome too.
thanks again

Help needed! Will I stop getting updates?

I just recently updated my Realme XT to it's latest version on the official Realme Site, which is (RMX1921EX_11.C.14) in hopes of getting Realme UI 2.0 android 11 since I read I had to have it to get it.
So, I went ahead to the official site and downloaded it since I didn't have it and my phone told my it was already up-to-date.
Now, everything's ok, same as usual. But I was wondering if by doing that, I ruined my chances at getting future official updates automatically.
By the way, now the "Software Update" section says I'm up-to-date but won't show me the version I'm on nor does it tell me my build number on the "about phone" section

EDIT:
I managed to see my exact software info. Could anyone take a look and tell me if it's ok? Or will I need to go back to its OG firmware. And in this case, I found versions with 11.C and 11.A what's the difference?
EDIT 2:
My phone OG had the same name as RMX1921EX_11.C.14 BUT WITHOUT THE EX. I live in Latin America, Venezuela, and over here we don't have an official provider. They are all imported.
My main question if I can still get official updates, that's all.

General Nokia X10/X20 Update 2023-5 Security update

We got the new update.
Seems to be just security update (about 84MB).

alright, meow.
Won't update, doe, because I fear that the update might break my root, and by extension, the Magisk modules i've installed for the purpose of customizing my UI, meow.
Well, we do not need root for our phones, so we could update without any problem.
When we do not get security updates anymore, we (my wife and i) will buy a new phone.
