[MOD] Quick Stock ICS for CleanICS - HTC Rezound

http://www.scottsroms.com/showthread.php?510-Quick-Stock-ICS-for-CleanICS

Tachi91 is this working without the reboots for you?

Here's what I posted on the thread at Scott's Roms:
I've had a lot of issues with this causing constant reboots after 10-20 seconds of use.
I ran this right after installing the CleanICS ROM. Initially it hung at the 4g boot animation. I did a battery pull and wiped, and it allowed me to boot.
After that, I have enough time to unlock and page through apps, for example, before it reboots. It continues to reboot after a certain amount of time, consistently.
The only time I didn't have constant reboots was when my data network wasn't being picked up for some reason. As soon as I toggled on 3g or 4g, the reboots began again.
I've wiped and reinstalled CleanICS and this .bat numerous times over the last few hours, all with the same result.

I tried
full wipe
flash rom
at bootscreen run bat
wipe cache/dalvik/data
sysui crashed once, shows bootscreen again when trying to call, do other stuff

I have found the problem. Don't replace the settings.apk and settings provider. That is what is causing the crashing.

Can we just remove a chunk out of the .bat file that is causing this. Is it the systemui part?

read the post right above yours lol. Ninja'd

I took out settings.apk and settingsprovider.apk, and haven't had a reboot yet, but the browser constantly FCs.
Edit: Force stop + clearing data for the browser fixed that.

I'm sorry I unwillingly got involved in something unrelated to xda smh..
ANYWAYS
Why can try restoring SettingsProvider.apk and see how that changes things
adb command
adb remount
adb shell mv /system/app/SettingsProvider.bak /system/app/SettingsProvider.apk

Can we take out the browser part then too?

Settings.apk is what gives the Settings Pane the ICS look
SettingsProviders.apk is the corresponding apk BUT its not necessary to have the ICS look in settings ... I just added it as a precaution
SystemUI.apk is the statusbar/Pull Down ... That Crashed but isn't need to keep the system up since it crashed but comes back up without raping Android

Ok Tachi Im testing what you said. Ill let you know if it works
Seems to be working
Question......What does settings provider do?
---------- Post added at 09:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:23 PM ----------
Only thing im noticing is trying to get a data connection. Wifi works but not data
Going to try to wipe data and cache and see if it works

..I'm going to remove some more HTC apps and see if any dependencies get removed and prevents boot loop
... So far the one sure way that i've tested is running the .bat before actually using the ROM.... and to remove the annoying Setup wizard
adb shell rm /system/app/HTCSetupWizard.apk

Would settings provide have any effect on data?

Yes and No ... Any and all changes are saved in /data ... now i imagine something that was present in the sense Provider is present in the ICS Provider and would cause and issue
..
But the logcat i see is relating something to com.htc.launcher ... so maybe any apps that rely on Rosie ... like Personalize apk and so on would cause an issue

I just restored the old settings provider. I'll let you know what it does.
Where do you turn on data in the ics settings that might be my problem.

Try restoring the Sense Browser .. They can coincide...
adb shell mv /system/apps/Browser.bak /system/apps/HTCBrowser.apk
that just restores the sense Browsers and renames it to HTCBrowser like that it doesn't overwrite the ICS one and you can have both and see if it stables out.... Remediable to clear cache/data and restart afterwards

[FIX] Laggy browser with deodexed XXKG1, using odexed browser.apk and framework files

I made this for my own use, after getting annoyed with laggy browser using XXKG1. I like the stock browser, and wanted to "fix" it.
Thanks LeoMar75, I used your odexed files
Flash via CWM.

Enjoy!
~Rawat
NOTE: this will NOT work if you use a mod that has made changes to some of your framework files. e.g. madmack.
As always, do a nandroid before flashing.
Reserving this.
Is this basically just an odexed browser? What other files does it touch?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Odexed browser and framework files. Apart from that, it wipes cache. That's it.
So this will overwrite anything that touches the framework like battery mods?
It's a shame there isn't an easier way to do mods than buggering around with the apk's
Thanks for the info!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
You can actually open up the zip, and delete framework-res.apk from the framework folder, and then apply it, and your battery mod will stay
And will it still work? This is on a deodexed rom.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Tried it with lite pro rom v2.2 and it got stuck on first boot logo.. Fortunately i did a nandroid backup first :/
I'm playing around with this as we speak.
VR 2.0 LITE.
So .. first problem I encountered: browser always crashed when I start it up BUT it does work with some kinks. Witch I think I can solve.
So how does it work? Well I am a arstechnica reader. In pulse rss reader (if not a subscriber to ars) you get a few lines from the artikel with a button to read the rest of the artikel in the browser. If you press it, you stay in Pulse reader but the engine of the browser is used to display the artikel at it's correct url.
The engine (with all it's hw-acc glory) works. As in: I can browse the page on ars, the comments, even with video's no problem. No laggy **** what so ever.
But ... the frameworks screws **** up a bit. (I think ) So I tried flashing back my old frameworks ... but it didn't work I screwed up my phone
So as we speak I'm reflashing vr2.0 lite.
So what I'll be trying is flashing JUST the browser part (without the frameworks). Lets see if that helps.
Which files does the browser need to work btw? As in: what files should I keep from frameworks? Or is it possible to just delete the whole frameworks folder?
I don't know what happened here! I took my risk and tried to flash it on cognition rom...I delete first framework apk and when I flashed I got an error E: bla bla bla message..I reboot and....no lag at the browser? I don't get it really I don't! Thanks anyway!

Yes. Do a nandroid before hand to be sure
@people having problems with FCs. Not sure why you'd be having that problem, I didn't have any ._.
I'd suggest wiping dalvik and cache and updating if you still get FCs.
many issues with android can be related to caching mechanism...
My script *should* be wiping it anyway.
For myself, I did it manually.
Hey Rawat, I have always been under the impression that mixing odex and dex was not a good idea and has caused problems before when I was working on sgs roms.
Care to give any insight as to how this is not breaking everything? Very curious as I really don't want to load my rom with dolphin browser.

From http://www.netmite.com/android/mydroid/dalvik/docs/dexopt.html:
There are at least three different ways to create a "prepared" DEX file, sometimes known as "ODEX" (for Optimized DEX):
The VM does it "just in time". The output goes into a special dalvik-cache directory. This works on the desktop and engineering-only device builds where the permissions on the dalvik-cache directory are not restricted. On production devices, this is not allowed.

So, if I understand correctly the odexed file is optimized, but you don't _need_ to have it as the OS will take care of it with some added CPU cycles (which we have enough to go around ) and swap it out to cache. But having the pre-odexed code would do no harm - as I take it - as it is preferred in terms of CPU time, but not necessary. By deodexing firmware you're not taking the odex interpreting code out, just taking out the odex itself. Please correct any ignorance in my thoughts, but I don't really see why you couldn't mix and match.
Am I making any sense at this hour with my medication?
on VR2.0, flashed via CWM and it does not say its done? it just reboots itself to ROM.. the app is there, but FCs after a few sec.. tried deleting framework res, clear cache and dalvik too.. if any VR2.0 user managed to use it flawless, do share how did u managed to
Hmm, taking out the framework apk didn't allow the browser to work unfortunately.. Android loads fine, but the browser force closes as soon as I attempt to scroll a webpage.. Looks like this will only work with an unmodded framework apk like you mentioned.
Sent from my SGS2
So i have been toying around with getting this to work on VR2.0 lite ... but as my earlier post (#9) said .. something is screwing the browser app up.
The engine runs pretty sweet. In multiple apps that use the browser engine to display content on the web everything works fine.
But the browser fc every time I scroll a page.
I read in some post that mixing odex & deodex stuff in the rom is not appreciated by the os. So it could be just a known thing I'm diving into. (I need a second phone to start experimenting since I really don't want to brik my phone)
So .. until I have time and the patience to actually learn how this works under the hood .. I have bad news

[Resolved] Play Store & Mobile Network force closing, can't send/receive texts/calls
Hi there!
I installed the Resurrection Remix ICS AOKP ROM v.1.8.1 on my unlocked Galaxy S II i9100 a couple of days ago after factory resetting it, wiping the SD card, cache, etc.; completely getting rid of everything from the previous Resurrection Remix ICS ROM I had on there before.
Spent a lot of time customizing it over the past couple of days and not had any problems. I have a UK GiffGaff SIM which runs on the 02 network. There is a GiffGaff app on the Play Store that copies the correct information into your clipboard so that you can go through the steps of creating an APN easy as pie. However, whenever I go to Settings/More/Mobile networks a dialog box immediately pops up stating "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." and puts me back to my app drawer. I spent a while trying to fix it, then loaded up the Play Store to look for APN apps, but whenever I try to download an app it comes up with the same message above with "Settings" replaced with "Google Play Store".
I've literally spent hours and hours getting extremely frustrated and would be very appreciative of some help as I currently cannot send or receive texts or calls, cannot use the internet without Wi-Fi and cannot download any apps.
Things on the top of my head that I've tried are deleting the vending.apk (Play Store) in the system/app directory and copying another version of the store over, clearing caches of numerous apps, clearing Dalvik cache, wiping cache partition in CWM, restored some apps and settings from my Titanium Backup backup (which replaced some of my customization that I worked hours on ) and searched for ages for the APKs of some APN apps. I even wiped data/factory reset the phone a few minutes ago, but I still can't access Mobile networks to input the APN and now Google Play Store isn't even in my damn app list anymore!!
Can someone help please?
Edit: Managed to get the Play Store back, downloaded an APN app successfully, opened it and it force closes!
RESOLVED: If anyone else has similar problems, just download the ROM that's installed onto your phone, install it again, boot into CWM, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot! Thanks JJEgan and Sun90

Ohhhh myyyyyyyyy goddddddddd. I love you. Haha, downloaded and installed the ROM, now everything works completely fine!! Thank you so much I'll remember that tip for the future
By the way, are some of the textures and backgrounds in this ROM supposed to be.. messed up? Like, some menus such as Settings have completely dark checkered backgrounds which look ugly o_o And when I pull down the notification bar, there are a lot of blue diagonal textures which again, look ugly.
Is this just me or is it the ROM? If it's the ROM, are these textures being worked on?
Thanks again

Wow, I had no idea we could do this! Thanks a lot, haha, it all looks awesome now! One last thing if that's okay How can I customize what I see after pulling the notification bar down? I done a little Googling just now but kept finding apps that just customize the actual bar and not the bad textures after pulling it down.
Are there mods for that too?
Edit: Ah, will do! Thanks for informing me

[GUIDE]CLEAN-SETUP of Eeepad Transformer Prime tf201

This is a guide for tf201 owners of how to setup the Eeepad Asus Transformer Prime from scratch to get a most stable installation of the tf201 and to achieve comparable mass-testing-results based on a totally similar installation of the device. The setup helps people to get as much out of the device as the firmware of Asus offers. It’s by no means a fix for bad & wrong coding or defective hardware but it will resolve any update/ firmware or user induced mess with the os and will givepeople a fresh start for a clean setup.
As the rooting of the device presumably won’t void the guarantee but offers the ability to get much more out of it I decided to root with sparkym3’ root tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706588&highlight=root+sparkym3
Currently I was running on firmware .28 (this works for any previous firmware)and this is a guide for the clean-setup of a rooted device.
Make sure to follow every step thoroughly if you need/ want to participate in mass-testings and share results.
Added 120705
Only positive feed back on my guide but the rating is bad, come on guys don't be so stingy, help people identifying a useful thread.
Added 120724
I hope my thread, being viewed over 5100 times, gives you guys an idea about how to treat your device. I am still happy with mine. Had to install 'browser to ram' though. I will update post #3 4v1.01) SETTINGS SETUP: very shortly, hopefully before JB, as then I will have to restart everything again....
1v.1.01) PREREQUISITES:
- Electricity
- Transformer Prime TF201, I recommend rooted so TitaniumBackup can be used
- Asus ac-connector
- Asus usb-cable
Make sure the battery is almost fully loaded.
2v.1.01) CLEANUP unrooted/rooted:
Load the battery first no matter what state your tf201 is in. You have installed a new update, a new rom from the Asus Homepage and or just want a clean start. You have done a backup of all your private data:
(if you are not rooted just skip step 2a2))
2a1v.1.01) Start cleaning your device. You have to get rid of every single app and every stock-update (except for rooted tf201; spare “TitaniumBackup”, and “Superuser") either in the menu “Settings/Apps/All” by going through every app and first of all “Stopping” it, if possible “ClearData” and “ClearCache” and then “Uninstall” it.
2a2v.1.01) (if rooted) clean with TitaniumBackup:
- Open “TitaniumBackup”
- Click on the “BatchBackup/Restore–ALL” Menu in the top right corner of the screen
- Scroll down to the section “Uninstall” and “Un-installAllUserApps”
- Scroll down to the section “ManipulateData” and “ClearCacheForUser&SystemApps”
- Scroll down to the section “ManipulateData” and “WipeDataForUser&SystemApps”
2a3v.1.01) Now you will do a “FactoryDataReset” in the menu “Settings/Backup&Reset". Don’t use the inbuilt “Google Backup&Restore” function as you want to redo everything from scratch. Just push the “Reset” button, put in your credentials, if you are prompted, and “Confirm”:
“EraseEverything”
The tf201 restarts twice now and the android-clown starts digesting the mess it is deleting and organising.
On my device this takes approx. 2 min. and the reboot takes another 2 min. Then you can start to initiate you Transformer again:
3v.1.01) INITIALISATION:
a) choose your country and push “Start”
b) choose your keyboard language /Input method and push “Next”
c) connect to your network and push “Next”
d) set date and time (choose “Timezone”, “AutomaticDate&Time” set “ON”) and push “Next”
e) sign into your Google-account
f) don’t join “Google+”, push “NotNow”
g) untick the 2 settings in “BackupAndRestore” and push “Next”
h) tick the 2 settings in “UseGoogleLocation” and push “Next”
i) push “Finish” and the Initialisation has completed
Now you see the all new os on your device. But it still has some old data fragments in use and
k) by pushing a pin in the reset-pinhole next to the microsd-card slot of the tf201 for more than 30 seconds you will delete old information which is kept back until the residual energy has emerged from the transistors of the mainboard.
The device reboots and you do another two reboots. Now your tf201 is as shiny as it can get and ready to eat mud again.
Sorry people: Forgot to mention that you should now also wipe your interior sdcard. lAt least all the data which has been put there by some app and isn't part of your precious digital collection. We want every app, stock or downloaded, to have a clean setup with no old data.
4v1.01) SETTINGS SETUP:
(This part hopefully gets structured when I go through the menu ...)
I now will check and define the stock settings point by point but out of curiosity I just went into the menu for a first glimpse:
"Settings/Wifi/Advanced(menu in the right top corner)/KeepWi-fiOnDuringSleep" is set on "Always" and yes, the battery-reading is confirming this too ("Settings/Battery" tap on the diagramm and you see the timeline of GPS/Wi-Fi/Awake/ScreenOn//Charging). Okay, I will change the Wi-Fi to "Never" and observe it .(previous setup has learned me Asus fixed this setting)..to be continued
5v1.02) NOTE:
You can do a backup of your device first so you always have the clean basis handy if needed. This guide is work in progress and I hope I get some additional information into it in time.
After having followed my guide twice and done every step as described my root was still there both times. But the previously not uninstalled 2 applications were gone.. So the next thing I will do, is; install "Superuser", “TitaniumBackup” and “RootExplorer”. Then I will do my backup.
Depending on what basis you have started setting up your prime you can swap certain steps to still experience the tf201 at its “best”. Different apps may set you back to deleting everything manually and following this guide.
This guide is set up from my experience with four pieces of the Asus tf201 species and the many hours I spent in this forum as well as on the phone with technicians of an Asus repaircenter. I put up my thread how it is convenient to me and I hope the xda-old-timers show their goodwill towards noobs like me and won’t kill it as well.
Hopefully its helpful to some of you gals and guys and you have years of fun with your chopping-boards.
6v1.01) TRHEADHISTORY:
120629:
v.1.01 uploaded
120701:
5v1.01 Note unloaded
...........
After having followed my guide twice and done every step as described my root was gone both times. And the previously not uninstalled 2 applications were gone as well. So the next thing I will do, is; reroot the device with sparkym3’ root tool (see op) and install “TitaniumBackup” and “RootExplorer”. Then I will do my backup.

7v1.01) FAQ:
Q: How is this different from doing a factory reset? Why manually delete everything 1st? [email protected]
A: My experience (was on a previous build though) I still had apps like "superuser" showing up in the applist after a factory reset only. The "FactoryReset" needs to be prepared also! Actually before uninstalling you should turn off as many of the running processes in "Settings/Apps/Running"(push "ShowCachedProcesses" in the top right corner) and running services in "Settings/Apps/Running"(push "ShowCachedServices" in the top right corner) as you can without corrupting the preparation of the "FactoryReset". Then you will be able to delete even more app data and cache of stock apps. But I will leave it out for the moment and hope I won't stumble over this.
thanks for the tutorial.

That's because factory reset formats /data and /cache but does not touch /system. Easy way to fix that is just delete busybox, su and superuser.apk before factory resetting. Much faster than the cleanup section of your guide imo.

I was reading in another thread the suggestion to wipe the data or factory reset, and then install the latest firmware version from the Asus site (which you would have preloaded on an external (? I've also read internal...) sd card). Would that take care of the system files in a more efficient way than going through and deleting each of them individually? Also, if the factory reset does wipe everything but system files, is there a need to manually remove non-system apps? Can I even get at the system files if I'm not rooted in order to remove them?

I'd also love to know this- it's my most frustrating problem, and if doing the reset isn't going to help than I might put it off (I'm scared to make something else break on me that would be worse!).

I tried the procedure suggested by the OP (i never wiped after the update, only cold booted a few times yesterday because of the prime that seemed to be alive - see related thread), and now, after an all-day use (all my apps and games reinstalled) i can say that it's more smooth, wifi is a little better and my prime does not move by itself like it's alive ahah. But immediately after finishing the procedure i had persistent screen artifacts on the very left (never had them), but a cold boot solved. And, after that, 2 or 3 very little artifacts during the day, just like before doing this procedure. Never had ANR before and after this procedure.
So i think that there's nothing we can do about screen artifacts: somebody have them, somebody not. Every prime behave in a different way. I hope they can fix this annoying problem (which, incidentally, i never had before .28).

No, you won't lose root, but maybe you'll only have to reinstall superuser app.

You are probably right. I did this guide for non rooted user as well and today I don't see any other solution to get rid of all the old data than by deleting every single one. Suggestions to do a factory reset but not pointing out to prepare this factory reset and finalising it by the pinhole reset seem to be in use for a long time and show different results.
So I took another approach which has been very reliable for me. Thanks for your input

My guide starts after you have done the update. Now the trouble starts because even updated some apps still use old values. If you use the .zip-file to update you still should clean up everything after the installation and start with the procedure described from step 2 and not skip anything until you have done the pinhole-reset and two more boots. Now you are fine to start.

Exactly. This is a placebo effect. . If that really made a difference, don't you think Asus would have said something by now?

As I stated earlier: I don't suggest to fix any coding problems. My guide just gives you a clean start. You don't sound like you have tried, haven't you?

I am glad it helped you. Just to get it straight: You got the screenflicker before you finished my procedure! After the reboot it was gone and this is exactly why I suggest to do two more bootups after the 30 seconds pinhole-reset. Thanks for your feedback.

[NOT CORRECT]Sorry to correct you but my root is gone, installing superusere won't help.
But you can regain root by using sparkym3 root tool mentioned in the ops.[/NOT CORRECT]
Edit: jason1993 is right, I have changed the op

You are right about the screenflicker, but i don't agree about root permissions. I didn't lose them after your procedure, i only had to reinstall superuser app to manage them, but i had them. I'm sure because the first thing after finishing the procedure has been reinstalling superuser app and then ezoverclock.
Anyway, after this procedure and the tweaks of the ATP Tweak app, screenflickering is almost fine.
can anyone else who tried this method play a video, be it youtube or any video files and see if there is any random loss of audio during playback for abt 1-2 sec
because i keep having this issue, regardless of the number of times ive rebooted my device

Oooops, I just found out: You are right, we don't loose root after the "FactoryReset". I apologize to you, great you insisted.
Will change it in the original post.

Why don't you just try it yourself instead of keep asking? Your device will be cleaned an probably (hopefully) fixed. I don't have this audio loss problem at all.
because I've done many steps already to set my prime to default, as vanilla as stock as possible and the problems were never gone. i just dont wanna go thru another reset

Settings reset every restart

Hey guys,
I just had this random problem earlier today. My phone giving me a couple of problem every time I restart it it resets my settings. Such as my navigation bar, it changed to the default one then my status bar changed to the stock setting such as my display network speed and my app permissions were reset together with the default apps and my keyboard too. Has anyone had this problem before?
Extra info
This problem started a few days ago when I couldn't go onto my videos app then it went onto my Snapchat having trouble recording and then finally my WhatsApp not being able to read the backup file (fixed itself with a couple of reboots). And then after all of that this current problem exists. Every reboot = settings reset and app permissions reset. No idea how to fix this. If anyone has a solution please help

U might have to factory reset. Try that...if that doesn't work, you might have to flash a stock rom

[MOD][Debloat | Black Google bootanimation] Taintless

Going to try and keep this short, sweet, and to the point.
I modified and created a zip for personal use all the way back to my Nexus 5 days and through my N5X use. I like my ROMs extremely minimal. Removal of media files and applications that I didn't deem necessary to have. Even went as far and told the script to remove the stock launcher and replace it with Nova. This little guy worked wonders for me and saved me loads of time. My app drawer (on initial start up) only consisted of the essentials; phone, contacts, messaging, a file manager, and Google Play. Only leaving the rest to be downloaded as needed.
----------------
Since ROMs aren't abundant yet, I'm deciding to share my zip to those who actually want to remove system apps and not settle on them just being disabled. Also, to keep from going into a file manager after every OTA/update removing each app individually.
-----------------
Had to modify this little guy to work on our phones.. It took me a bit to figure out (of course, right? Nothing is 'straight forward' with these phones )
-----------------
1.) I use this for personal use but did take some consideration in other users so majority of what I don't use is still there, this list would be a lot longer (and yes, some apps are for my older phones and didn't feel like removing them from the script).
2.) I will not remove an app from the removal script - if you don't like whats being removed, don't flash the zip.
3.) If I have forgot something that comes on the phone that CAN be downloaded from the Play Store (and can not be uninstalled), let me know. I'll add it to the script.
4.) If apps you are currently using are in the removal script, don't worry. The script makes them a user app instead of a system app (in my case it did anyway).
What's removed: :highfive:
*Clock (Google)
*Maps
*YouTube
*DownloadProviderUi
*HTMLViewer
*Calendar (Google)
*Drive (Google)
*OmaDmclient
*Photos (Google)
*Gallery2
*BasicDreams
*Calendar (Google)
*GoogleJapaneseInput
*Chrome
*CMFileManager
*Email
*Exchange2
*Galaxy4
*GooglePinyinIME
*Music2 (Google Music)
*NoiseField
*OpenWnn
*PhaseBeam
*Gmail
*Videos (Google Movies)
*KoreanIME
*OpenDelta
*Launcher3
What's added: :victory:
*Google stock bootanimation (black background with no text!)
*1 additional ringtone
*2 additional notifications
*4 additional alarm ringtones
Installation: :silly:
1. backup your ROM (there is no 'undo' button, so if you want whatever you want back, do a restore)
2. flash through TWRP (do not wipe cache/dalvik unless you want to get stuck on the Google logo - a hard power reset solves that problem anyways)
3. reboot

Again, you all are on XDA for a reason and know the risks of modifying your device in any sense. Since everyone else does this, I'll do it too:
I'm not responsible for your device.
For those that are having force closing issues on certain apps, enabling immersive mode within apps seems to fix the problem..
Things you need:
You need Android Terminal Emulator in the Play Store or cmd on Windows
i would prefer to do this from a PC so you can copy and paste the commands, but it can be done with any terminal emulator also.
Step 1: Connect your phone to your PC enable USB debugging mode
Step2: Open up cmd in Windows or the emulator on your phone and copy/paste or type:
- adb shell
itll give you a '$'
then copy and paste or type:
- settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
should enable automatically.
so a debloat script and replacing boot ani with a black one? ill give it ago next time i redo my phone lol (i already debloated and have that boot ani)
but nice little addition, i personally love removing bloat my last debloat script i dubbed 'The Purge" lol
Sounds good to me and I hate bloat! thanks for the work!
Caution.,,
This breaks Fi app ... sort of.
the app wont run after zip. uninstall, reload from app store... still cant run app... app prompts to activate phone.. activate runs and app starts to work.
Same with "google" app (the default app that show when you swipe left from home screen.
Gmail too....

I don't run the Google Fi app, nor did I even touch anything related to Fi..
My Google app works as intended, and I redownloaded gmail, and that works too.. Idk what could be the issue on your end..

Version/update doesn't matter..
Corrupted as in how?
I still use twrp 3.1.1. Beta 2
Corrupted as in it won't let me boot up into the OS. It's with other mods too
So far I've received an issue from a user on here (youll be able to read their issue on the last page) and i assume its user error due to me not having any issues at all..
My question is - has anyone else tried this script with complete success?? Given the 'thanks' i received, im assuming (again lol) that its working fine. In my experience on XDA, people only comment on whats wrong, and keep quiet when things are running as they should.. I'm now asking to voice your success just for reassurance for me
let me know guys, thanks! :good::fingers-crossed:
Just wanted to confirm that the debloat script works on the Feb update.. Just did it myself :highfive:
However, I did have a couple force closes on the Google app and Twitter (weird) -- after some testing, i got it working by enabling 'settings put global policy_control immersive.full=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox' again
After I enabled that again, everything functions fine. :good:
Maybe this is needed for some apps that force close after flashing this debloat script (if you like immersive mode in apps)..
I'll post instructions in the 2nd post on the first page
Hey, thanks for this! Any chance of an update to April release?

Yeah I find that happens too. Plus despite having busybox titanium isn't even deleting system apps anymore, they are still there after reboot. So for now I stick to freezing...
