[Q] What are some bloatware that can be safely removed using Android Mate? - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace, firmware Android 2.3.6 (upgraded from 2.3.4 using Kies).
Phone is rooted. Will install Android Mate.
I don't think it has 'freeze'. Only delete.
Which bloatware can I remove that will not affect the phone's performance?

ThinkOffice
Swype (you can download new and better versions of swype from beta.swype.com)
Desklock
Clockwidget
Memo
Livewallpapers.apk
Forest.apk
Samsung apps (will improve phone's performance to a great extent)
Removing these apps will either improve performance or give more internal space. Depends on the app being removed

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SII lag/stutter

Hello,
Since I have updated my phone to 2.3.4(KI2), my phone is lagging. Swyping from left to right on home screen isnt smooth anymore. When I'm watching a video on youtube, my phone is stuttering every 3 seconds. It freeze for about 1 sec. but the audio is still going. It's really annoying. I haven't had any trouble when I was running 2.3.3(KE2).
What I've already tried:
-Factory reset
-I have rooted my phone and installed miui and later cynagomod. I haven't had any lag on these custom roms, but I want a stock rom.
-Custom kernel with stock rom.
-I flashed back to KE2 and I haven't had any lag on there but I want to run the latest version because of the battery on 2.3.3.
Can someone help me?
Are you using any power save apps and/or internal power saving? That could have something to do with it.

2.3.3 or 2.3.4?
Can someone help me?
hmmm... still have the problem no solution found yet.
It could be the google widgets. Youtube and gallery do it for me. So far I am thinking that 2.3.3 is the least buggy...
Why not try a custom rom with stock looks + custom kernel, if not, try setcpu and check ondemandx or higher scaling, or you can also try watchdog app from market to if there any app or service eating the processor.
Cognition X2 is the custom "stock" ROM. You might try that.
I see a similar issue if I use certain governors in setcpu. Using the performance governor however seems to resolve it immediately. If you need a kernel recommendation try Siyahs latest.

Samsung apps

Hi,
Recently I've rooted my galaxys s2 with KI4. I've installed the MIUI Rom.
After I've saw that there is a application called Samsung Apps when you can update the camera firmware, gps firmware, etc (Samsung Apps doest works in MIUI)
How could I know the firmware version of my camera and gpx to know if there is in the lastest version.
The MIUI version have the latest version of these firmware?
Many thanks and sorry for my english!
Miui isnt stock samsung...those add ons as far as im aware wouldnt apply here. Miui has updates available to download every friday. So your only hope is that the issues you may have are fixed in the next update.
If you want all the stock updates...stay stock.

Thanks,
I wanted to say that if I install a camera firmware update on stock version. These changes continues after if I install the MIUI version?
Miui has a different camera package. The stuff from samsung apps is just for samsung roms so don't care about it.

[Q] Upgrading firmware

Just a quick question regarding uprgrqsing firmware, I've recently put on the latest XWLPD and went through Titanium Backup, deleted, frozen etc to my personal liking, got phone going smooth as anything with Jkay, NEAK kernel etc, then XWLPF comes out!
I hear the battery is much better, so I want to upgrade it, I have it downloaded, but I can't be bothered going through Titanium Backup to delete, freeze all the bloat and unnecessary crap.
Problem being I didn't write down what I froze/deleted, so I have to work out what to do again as there isn't a safe to remove list for ICS, as there are a few different additions over GB.
If anyone has any advice to make update a little easier, I'm very happy to receive it.
Thank you.
Galaxy S2 International GTI-9100.
You could always flash a rom which comes slimmed down and free from bloatware?

If its a non-wipe rom of the same base (I.e. Samsung or AOSP), you can just flash straight over the top, I believe Odin does a dalvik wipe automatically, or there is an option in CM recovery.

You're looking for the stock XXKPL. However, since 2.3.6 was only released for international, if you have a us player, you'll have to flash entropy's kernel afterwards to make your home button work.

Best Stable JellyBean ROM

I am using a handset with Huthinsion 3G branding and bloatware etc..
I have rooted the device already and can perform unlock - no problem (galaxy unlock app).
I want to flash a secure, stable and constantly updated ROM which runs Jelly Bean - what would you recommend?
Something that dont have memory leaks etc. and will perform well.
No such ROM with 100% stability or with no errors or some problems. Maybe soon. U just have to find for yourself what ROM suits you...

i can smell veyka is coming to Close this Thread. There's no such.....Punch line
Closed... there really is no such thing as a "best" rom, go read the threads, make your own mind up.
The OTA thread has a bugs/fixes list, and more. All the information you need is there if you search.
Edit: I also see nhariamine kanged my close message At least he gave credit!
