Q)Do you see the left edges cut off when you install this one? Like New Notebook menu and templates?
A)yes, it's due to the smaller screen but if you use the touchpad in vertical you can see all the templates.
If you find new version post it

I got it from here. But the app still gets cut off even on portrait mode, you can't scroll as the scrollbar is cut off, sadly.
Edit: Credit to this thread, which also has even more Asus and Toshiba apps/weidgets.

Just installed this on my touchpad...really cool.

Great app, ordered a pen to write some notes on it. If anyone figures out how to fix sizing let is all know!

Has anyone has noticed the missing navigation, delete and newline buttons relative to the pictures in the demonstartion notebook? Or do I need to turn them on in some mystery spot?

[Q] Screen Capture

My Gtab is rooted w/VEGAn 5.1 w/Launcher Pro and I have installed ShootMe. I can take a picture of my screens but when I go to the gallary to see them, all I see is a black screen.
Can anyone shed some light for me. Why can't I see the images. I use the same ShootMe app on my ROOTED EVO 4G and I can see every capture just fine.
What is different on the GTab that I need to change/add etc?
Thanks in advance Y'all
R
The only (and I mean ONLY) Market app I've been able to get to work on my G-Tab is Screenshot ER.
The demo version is heavily watermarked & the paid version is .99 cents.
But it does work, try the demo.
https://market.android.com/search?q=screenshot+er&so=1&c=apps
I'll give it a shot and thx for the help my friend.....
FYI, as of today, ScreenShot ER is $2.99USD
Thank-you, actually it was the XDA front page that pointed this out to me, so thanks to them. Previously I was about to give up on the whole damn process of trying to get screen shots till this came along.

Weird, if I punch in the link I posted on my pc & click on the paid version it says .99 cents.
It must be the way the Market identifies our device. I guess "tablets" have a different price rate (?)
You're absolutely correct, DEMO worked fine........thanks again..

How to take screen shots with rezound

combed through the threads in the rezound and didn't come across this so thought i share.
The Rezound has a built in feature like some other phones to take screen shots without the need of Root or paying for apps.
simply press and hold the "power button" and press "home key" and you got a screen shot.
That's great to know! Thanks for posting this!

Men don't read instructions, and I doubt this would even be in there.
I sure hope they fix the black line running down the right side in these screenshots.

its not a black line, its jsut cut off. the screenshot doesnt save as the same resolution as the screen; it's a little thinner..it sucks lol

Ok your right, I see what Cares is talking about. Not really a big deal it does capture the whole screen just as you said doesn't display in full resolution so you see a small border.
Short video showing the screen capture in action.

it's not cut off. the screenshot is taking a higher resolution shot than the resolution of the display.
display: 1280x720 (720p)
screenshot: 1280x736.
16 pixels right side = blank = black line.
hope the bump doesn't anger the gods, think the info in this thread is worth it.
do you need to have sense running for this to work, I.E. rosie launcher? I de-sensed my phone and this doesn't appear to work. I assume it is not "hard encoded" obviously, so I would assume it is a sense feature I lost?

Instagram :(

The good news - Instagram for Android is out today. The bad news - shows as incompatible with the Prime
Any way to get around that?
Download it on your phone and if you can use TiBu on your phone to back it up (root required), then copy the .apk backup to your prime; you can install the app. Couldn't tell you if it works, but that's how I move apps from my phone to tablet when I see that incompatibility message.

Yeah, works fine so it seems... I just transferred the apk from thr /data/app folder to my prime and installed it. Haven't logged in yet but installed and opened fine.
Just download the .apk online, it is funny they are listing it as incompatible because it seems to be tablet optimized.

+1. Having the same issue with my prime...but works flawlessly on my SexyGnexy.
Strange issue with Instagram.. I am unable to update/refresh stream over wifi on my TFP or my phone.. If I turn off wifi on my Epic Touch and use 3g or 4g it will refresh. Its just wifi thats giving me the issue, so its useless on TFP right now..
there was another update for the app. hopefully it added fixes and will be prime compatible soon.

Not sure how it shows for you but it doesn't for me.
Even their FAQ says:
Tablets with NVIDIA Tegra 3 graphics chips, including the Asus Transformer Prime, are not supported at this time. We're currently investigating this issue.
Please note that only tablets with support for OpenGL ES 2, with the exception of tablets with the graphics chips mentioned above, are capable of running Instagram at this time.

New Hulu Plus for Tablets in Market

So, I'm an idiot who just realized that Hulu Plus for tablets is on the market. My Market sees it and I can download it fine but when I start it up it gives me my device is not supported. Ironically they let you log in, browse it even shows the play button but won't play stuff. Anyone have any tips on how I can make it work? It seems much more natural than the one floating around that modified off the phone version. I feel the picture using it on our Touchpads must be gorgeous. I know you smart kids will figure this out
Try this one. Works for me.

+1 The green camera issue plagues alot of users and it's hardware all the way. You'd be bigger then, well, the big guy if you posted a fix for the camera..
Thanks for support.
I don't understand what the problem with the camera is. Do you have some details to give me ? or a video of the issue ?

if you want i can make a short movie how you can disassembly the camera...
Hi, great video and great timing, my screen cracked yesterday after a "screen first landing from my bed". I already ordered a replacement one and your video gave me great hints on how to dismantle it, however I'm still wondering if anything else is needed to put it back together with the new one. Does the screen comes with some kind of glue on the sides? Any tape that I need to take in consideration? or it should just snap back in place?
Thanks for doing this tutorial and I would appreciate anyone who can help me with these questions.

The video says not available in my country. I am in germany. I would love a nice video on how to take this beast apart and try to fix the camera issue. I press on it and it seems to work but only if I press down hard so maybe something got dissconnected.
Or hell find a place that will fix it, I cant send it to ASUS because of the unlock thing and because I dropped it recentlly but no other damage was done to the tablet though
now just some scratches

TRY ON EBAY I BOUGHT ALREADY AND WAITING FOR THE DIGITAL TOUCH SCREEN ALSO
search for "TF201 DIGITIZER" YOU WILL FIND A LOT
hope i help you
I'm aware that they have them on Ebay, dozens of them, but every one that I have seen bought has a screwed up X-axis.
When you install yours make sure to test it BEFORE you take it down.

I think he means to test it before you permanently mount it.
There doesn't seem to be any way to remove a cracked digitizer from the mouning bezel without destroying it. Even though your glass may currently be cracked, I'm sure it still works at least. If you remove (and destoy) your digitizer glass, you won't want to discover that your replacement has the left and right axis reversed.
Disconnect the ribbon cable for existing (cracked) digizer glass. Connect the new digitizer glass. Boot your prime. Make certain that the new glass is the right model and the left/right is correct.
Even easier than that. Compare the rev numbers of the replacment digizier and the existing one. If they are different revs, you'll be hosed.
