Dont get me wrong. 2005 is quite good, However:
1. Activesync 4 isnt working
2. The camera software is crap
3. None of my software programs run on it.
4. Every time i change the screen aspect, the alignment is wrong.
5. The damn thing conects the gprs while im asleep and i wake up with no credit left.
So i want to go back to 2003se.
But I cant because activesync doesn't work properly Bluetooth A/S works (sort of)
Any solutions...?
Can't you use USB instead? It'll be safer..
Be warned though, if ur also planning to downgrade from AS4 to AS3.8 (mainly bcos backup/restore) you'll face some big problems.. It made me regret for upgrading to WM2005 and AS4..

I got an octopus to press the buttons until the serial 1.01 thingy was displayed.
stuck it in the cradle
ran the 2003se software.
Im sticking with AS4...

In a moment of madness I upgraded from 2k3 to 2k5 and instantly regretted it (after picking my way slowly throught the v. good instructions on here).
I've got as far as you have stated, but which ROM do I need for 2k3SE and how do I do it?

So I was stupid and left my Sprint Hero phone in my shorts and my wife washed them, so goodbye phone. I luckily have two PPC 6800 phones that I can use in the mean time. Im definitely going to miss having an android 2.3 phone though. Any recommendations for making this phone not suck as much over the next month while I wait to see what new phone im going to get? I am not 100% what custom rom is on it now, its from June of 2008 though. Could be 6.5, but its been forever since Ive been in the windows mobile arena. My only needs are exchange support (sync email, contacts, calendar) and basic phone use. I dont even use a bluetooth. Would be useful to be able to use it as a hotspot for my android tablet, but not 100% needed as this is only temporary.

you can ask their for details on what bootloader and radio your phone should be at.
That is the only place I can find current ROMs for the titan.

I just installed Ryan Moguls 6.5 light rom, but its from last year. Seems the link you posted to a rom is still actively being used. Think that might be a better choice?

I just purchased a Kenwood KDC-BT952HD. Everythings Smooth With It, Except for the main reason i bought it, to pair it to my phone.
When i connect my Evo 3D to my stereo via Bluetooth, works for a bit, then cuts out. Then my phone freaks out and doesn't let me turn Bluetooth off, then back on. (Only way is to reset the phone.)
On top of that, anything being played via the stock player (which recognizes the Bluetooth connection) sounds so cheap. Pandora on the other hand sounds fine. Not sure why it sounds different between players.

Says its compatible, but sounds like crap compared to the crisp sound it has with my iPad, which i don't want to use over my phone.

Sounds crisp and clear VIA Play Music app, but I don't know what to do about the random cut outs. For some reason I feel its my device that's cutting out, as I can't turn Bluetooth on or off after it cuts out.

Possibly a defective unit. Take it back AFTER trying a stock rom. Ive used mine with the exact same one and had no issues yet.
I have a kenwood bt 838-u and it doesn't do anything like that. I agree with leo it might be a defective radio. Also have you checked for any firmware updates for the head unit.

Thanks for confirming. I was/am losing my mind with it. Im trying to download the stock rom, but it too keeps failing to download. lol smh. my luck.
im not taking it back until i try with unmodified stock though.

Thanks, i haven't updated it, but im not sure how to. I believe i do it through the USB port? theres also no firmware available to download from Kenwood's site under that specific model.
Another option would be to try sync another phone or bluetooth device to it.

I haven't been able to except for my iPad, which worked fine with no issues. I'm going to try the stock ROM in a bit. I'll try my girls 3vo when she gets home tonight. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Starting to thinks it might be defective. Tried my iPad again, and it plays fine, then starts stuttering. This all happened without moving anything. The iPad sat in the same spot when it started, and stopped. I'm hoping there's a fix, or worst case, it's the stereo and I can replace it.
I would contact kenwood and tell them what is doing. Tell them you have tried multiple devices and have the same issue. They might have some firmware update that is not on the website or they might give you an RMA.
Contacted Kenwood, they couldn't help. No updates available also. Although, pure stock rom isn't giving me an issue. I'm going back to my rom, but going to see if using stock kernel changes anything. :/

FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY! Part of the update needs to be burned onto a CD and part needs to be burned onto a thumb drive.
I have the same kenwood unit. It was acting squirrly with my evo 3d then I found this update and installed it. It now works perfecctly. Controls Pandora and displays everything!
Pandora tip: Start the app from your phone first THEN go into pandora mode on the unit. It works everytime then.

Holy crap! this really works!! Big thanks to the OP.
Successfully updated to tango + theres another additional update from HTC as well.
Though visually I cant really see any difference BUT the newer 17 radio seems to fix the Weak Wifi problem. Now, the strength is WAY WAY better! IE seems a tad faster as well.
Does this update upgrade SPL that may prevent HSPL in future?
Not too sure.. mine need the gold card method to flash custom roms anyway.. boot loader is the 4.6. I am happy with the stock as it is.. now.. just Have to wait for 7.8 ...

What might I being doing wrong? Anyone that might offer help to this problem?

I do not think this works with ATT brand phones. I tried with my Titan II as well......about 15 times. No luck.
It might not work on locked phones.
but you can try.
This only work if the update is available for your branded phone (AT&T). Locked or not does not matter. For example, Samsung's 2nd Gen WP7 phones all have updates ready and you can force it this way. Looks like HTC Titans are not that lucky.
Ive tried like 10 times and it doesn't work. I think its because my internet is too fast... I have FIOS... I tried it sooner, but then it says I don't have an internet connection... Sigh. Are they releasing Tango for HTC HD7 in the US?

I'm working on android for this thing... LK bootloader doesn't want to boot yet
I used till this january.
It was a great phone and it would still be if they didn't abandoned/stop updating their cool features.
As there weren't any new apps released or updates to the apps already in the market, I moved to android.
Microsoft forgot why they are nº 1 in PCs and why android is nº 1 in Smarthphones.
It's because you have continuity, its the ability to the different OS's being able to run older and new applications.

I still use it, and I'm still in Love with it ever since day one. Yes it's a sad fact that there's zero support for it now, however, there are some features in it that are still Killing it and in my opinion a thousand times better than any newer phone on any OS,, without further ado these features are:
1- The People integration for Facebook which still works great.
2- The Music Hub with all its in & outs especially the podcasts.
3- The Office & OneNote hub, syncs all my documents from PC just as it should, and of course I can view/edit it on the go.
4- and last but not least the Brilliant "Email integration", I have all my Emails synced and it works Amazingly.

If I could have some people on my Android4lumia team interested, I could get Android running on this guy. I had LK bootloader, or basically fastboot commands

I loved the phone when I bought it in 2012, but for some reason M$oft decided that the best approach to sell their phones was to introduce new phones and abandoning the previous ones!
The only reason Apple is so successful even with their crappy phones is because the old users are not left out. Sure, Apple tries things to force users to upgrade, but still doesn't abandon the ones that don't.
I lost 30K INR within 8 months of buying the phone, when it was (s)crapped. That is no way to do business.
Still, I gave the phone to my Father and he kept using it till 2016 when it dropped from his hand and achieved martyrdom
I just started using my old Lumia 800 again. Mainly for listening to podcasts and music on Deezer app, which surprisingly still works !
Zune app is waaaaaaay better than any audio app on android, imo.
Reading on Kindle app is fine too, although lacking all the modern features.
So many good apps on that phone, a shame the app store is not supported anymore!
Too bad the battery is near dead.

I was too optimistic. Deezer refuses to launch now. Goes back to home screen mid-launch.
Anyone knows how to fix it?

Is there any chance, that this is happening? I'd love to use my Lumia 800 again. It's the most beautiful phone, I ever had.
I still miss the persistent calendar notification on lockscreen
Still using it on daily basis as music player, to stream music via Bluetooth to my Amazon Echo Dot or BT headphones.
But I miss an app to play music/videos from YouTube, and now that the Store is down, I see no way at all to sideload anything. I am not going to install a custom rom. Again, with the Store down, I can't update apps or reinstall factory stuff, so the risk to mess things is high and I don't wanna loose my Lumia which still runs flawlessly.
