Where to find rooting instructions for new Prime - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

So I just opened my Prime that I got from HHGregg and needed to root it. I need to have anyconnect working for my work VPN so root is absolutely necessary.
I have been looking through the development forum and the Q&A forums and cant find a place where simple instructions are available.
To make it short, if I want to root:
Is it better to root HC with Nacho and then manually update to ICS 4.0.3?
Or manually update to 4.0.3 then root with Sparky?
Anyone have instructions on how to manually update to ICS? I have found instructions which require me to download the ICS zip file, place it on the Prime internal memory and then have the prime check for an update...is this correct?
If I do this, will it find the file that I place there manually or will it automatically delete it and try to download and install the new 9.4.2.11 update which is not rootable?
Thanks for any help!

Root honeycomb then download ota root keeper from the market then just update to ics
sent from my Atrix via XDA premium

And update via ota. Manual way caused problems even with root keeper.

Dev section has great reasources
I think there is a video tut there have you read through the posts on rooting

[Q] Downgrading from ICS? Is it possible

Is it possible to downgrade from ICS back to V8.8.3.33(US) so I can save the root with the OTA root save before upgrading back to ICS? Before anybody chimes in, I know on the ASUS download page it says no. Curious if anybody has tried it or not. I was so excited that ICS arrived last night I forgot to save the root before updating.
yes it is possible
you have to download the update from the asus support site and extract it to sd card
there is a thread about this in the development section

root?

Hello could someone please point me in the right direction to root this thing. I've notice there are different methods and a lot of brick talk on here so I'm a little reluctant to use one.I'm not new to the root I have rooted my evo,intercept,g2, galaxy tab. But all those seemed pretty safe I have t 201 and I updated to ics. One more thing I don't care much about the roms just want to run rooted programs so is it even worth it with such a new device?
I rooted mine with sparkys root but first use the unlock tool <unzip your unlock tool prior>...sparkys app is easy either download it with your computer then place in the file of your liking to open and install the app... or i think you can just download it from his page in developement with your prime. And has uproot available which I have done and then rerooted just for fun... enjoy your rooted Prime..

[Q] German TMobile ICS root or update

Hi is there any method to root the German T Mobile ICS leak or update it to another ICS leak , i missed the temp unroot step with voodoo initially when updating
No Root Methode yet, but you can update it to the newest Leak.
I won't post the way here, because one after the other bricked his phone in Germany by doing that (it's really easy, if you know how to unpack 2 Rar's into one and so on... )
can you please direct me to the method , if i brick i will not blame you hunt you down and kill you like the predator
any chance you can make the new combined 2 rar and upload it

There is nno problem in updating ics on ur rootedd tablet but If you update your tablet to the officisl ics then there are chances tht you will lose your root
There is no way to root official ics
If you install custom pre rooted ics from condi aio tool then u have root for your tablet
Hope this clears your doubt
samyukta88.
thank you for the advice. can you recommend a rooted ICS rom i can use?
I imagine ICS shall be rooted soon?

[Q] Rooting Samsung Galaxy S II

Hello.
I need access to a file, but on several sites on google - all say that i need to root...
So i want to root my phone, but still keep the "official" android (dont want CyanogenMod etc.)
But im really insecure on how to root my phone - and how risky is it?
Can you please provide me with a guide (with pictures please) on how to root it.
PS: Can i still update my android, if i root the phone?
Will all the data on the phone be deleted? like reinstalling windows....

You should have posted in galaxy s2 section but:
You can keep stock android, just follow this link to root your S2 and it will be fine. There is also video tutorial in the link
You won't be able to update your phone with Software Update but you can always find the latest firmware for S2 from SamFirmware
The sam firmware website is where you can find all the stock firmware for the S2
Your files will be fine such as music pictures etc they will not be wiped and it's not risky to root your phone with the link above
If you have any other questions just ask
