[Bored] Protection for the dock (warning - large images) - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I got a little bored, so I decided to order some 3M Di-Noc. Basically the same stuff as Skinomi uses but it's not pre-cut. Ordered a huge sheet. I thought to myself "I have pretty steady hands, and basically all I have to do is cut out a rectangle in some vinyl". Anyway, here are the results. Some things to note.
- I removed the rubber feet, applied the vinyl and then replaced them after cutting the holes out.
- The corners are the hardest part.
- Not for the faint hearted.
- I used the edge of the aluminum bottom as my guide, so the vinyl goes all the way to the edge.
Overall, I think the results are pretty good!!! Enjoi!!!!!

That looks sick! What's ironic is I was just on google trying to find a sheet of CF vinyl for the dock that matched my skinomi skin..lol

Very nice. What solution did you come up with for the corners?

Very nice job! I've surrounded my car stereo and the back of my galaxy nexus with cf di-noc..... this is tempting,,,,,,

Going slow, using a hair dryer to soften up the vinyl and being patient. All of these things are typically pretty foreign to me!

Cool different colors also. Also, consider that installation permanent.

I really like the look of the blue case. Cheers for showing us these.
Looks like from doing a bit of research on google they are roughly a good $15-20 to buy so not too bad (that's Aussie dollars)

amazing... where i am buy in indonesia ?
Great case (I have one) although it doesnt cover much of the front of the phone ie front edges or buttons when lying face down on a surface and the camera/mic area is also exposed when lying down on a surface - otherwise excellent case.
Oh yea the right hand side of mine pops off and the case moves slightly back and forth over the phone causing scratches - the movement is solved with sticky tape between the back of the phone and the inside of the case.
I have incidentally since bought a Krusell case which is far far superior in many ways (see post) but does increase the size of the phone a lot more than this slim fitting profile Imak case.
P.S - dust/dirt getting between the back of the phone and the case can cause a sandpaper scratching effect between the hard surfaces and I used some sticky tape to stop the slight movement as the case moved over the phone to also stop the scratching (and the movement).

White Ghost Armor Coupon + PICS *SICK*

I finally decided to get the white carbon fiber ghost armor to put on my phone. Sorry for the crappy pics right now, will upload better ones when I get my hands on my camera.
What I paid: 37$ for the entire job, it was a definitely a little pricey but I think it was worth it... considering that was including installation... and that now my phone looks SICK. The carbon fiber job doesn't really offer that much protection against drops but it is scratch resistant and pretty durable. The kit will include ghost armor though which you can put underneath and the carbon fiber stuff on top.
If you guys want to just buy it and install it yourselves here is a coupon code for 20% off: Ga4life.
Here are a couple pictures:

EDIT: my bad needs to be moved to accessories section -.-
Great product. Got mine done at the mall, got a pretty awesome deal [free]. It looks awesome, but I would never try to put it on myself, and I put on screen protectors daily. It fits the phone perfect, keeps it protected, and it still works in my car dock. Mine's black, but your pics are busted, so I'll throw some in. A couple of them I was just playing with my new camera, so had to do the double color long exposure, and show it off, lol.
wth howd u get it done for free? nd idk if this one peels im thinking about the black one!
Read the sig, it'll make since. I don't think you'll have a problem with it peeling, mine is on there very well, and shows no signs of degrading in any way, and I've had it on for over a month.
I don't understand why the kiosk at the mall in CT says they don't make them for the gs II. They claim nothing will stick to the textured back yet the ghost armor website clearly sells them.
Wtf.

Did a quick job of laying down a piece of 3M Di-Noc on my phone. Will reapply as time permits. Thought I would share the results if any of you thought about doing the same.

Good idea. Which color did you use? Looks like gloss black, is that right? I'm sort of wondering whether the gloss red or the silver would look too crazy.
Edit: For those wondering - http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/blog/3m-carbon-fiber-di-noc-now-available-in-7-different-colors/
I got one coming from XO Skins. Someone on here had it and it looked sweet. I would rather pay extra and have it pre-cut perfectly then mess around with cutting it myself not to mention I would have to buy the tape still anyway. This is the one I got here They also have them in a few other colors, it also covers the bottom half of the phone. Use code SPRINTXO at checkout gives you 30% off about a wash for shipping.
I ordered mine from phantomskinz.com

I used the black carbon fiber film. There is a roll of silver cf sitting on my workbench, will peel of the black in the morning and will take a pic in silver.

Will it interfere with the antenna reception?

I don't think it will interfere with the antennas. Its only a thin piece of vinyl printed with a cf design. Far less material compared to a tpu case or otterbox.
I just ordered one from xoskins.com. i found this discount code on line that worked SPRINTXO. it saved me a few bucks i think it was 30%

Case Cover

Ok... after having a tpu cover for several months i finally took it off and gone nekked.. it's my day 2 and boy it sure does feel pretty good in the hand and i'm loving the fact that i can always glance at it and admire its build quality and the overall looks of it. Although don't get me wrong...even though covers serves your cell extra protection from slippage, nicks etc it still won't prevent it from damages like scratchess and i'm just not a fan of slight bulkiness. what's your take on this???

this is what i have on full body cover http://www.ebay.com/itm/180800325521?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
cheap , one of the best in market , easy to install
I have a tpu case myself and as much of a keep it bare kind of guy HTC did a stupid thing with making the touch screen higher than the body itself. But the tpu case I'm a fan.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!
I have a TPU cover with translucent back that shows the rear and HTC logo. I mostly have it on for work and when working out. I go naked whenever I go to restaurants or out in public and just slip it in its Nexus One like "Andy" pouch.

HTC U Ultra aluminium frame / bumper - Devilcase

Hey guys,
Got this from Devilcase - a taiwanese case manufacturer.
Just fitted it, seems nice and high quality. Aluminium, with rubber pads in strategic places where it makes contact with phone itself

8bit, apologies for the late response.
I got it directly from devilcase at their website. http://www.twdevilcase.com/en/
Yes, I also got their full coverage screen protector (its in the photo if you look closely).
Overall, the alum frame is really nice, top quality, and perfect fit, but it does make the already large phone a little larger. Small hands need not apply at all.

You sold me on it :victory:
I'd like to ask if the bumper affected your reception? And does the tempered glass have some halo effect around the boarders? Got my Nillkin tempered glass and was so disappointed. After installing it, I just removed it. So much halo effect haha
