[Q] Black screen issues - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi all
I just suddenly has a black screen for my Razr android , I had to press the power button + down volume key for 10 sec but there is no result?
what shall i do?
please
thanks

Is there any indication that the phone is,working? Any sounds, any vibrations? Otherwise its most likely a dead battery or a dead screen.
Open it up and check the battery connection? (not sure,if it voids, any warranty)

Hi!
Try to reset by pushing the small button under the battery cover.
Other way:make hard reset.(First try to make full backup all of your data via Activesync connection).
Have you tried to connect via Activesync?

[Q] What key combination make RAZR reset?

Most of non-removeable phones provide key-combination reset.
For example,
===============================
iPhone = Lock +Volume+Home (3 keys Long press)
Galaxy Tab = Lock long press (about 8 sec)
===============================
But, no one knows about Razr reset key combination.
What combination key make a Razr reset?
As we know, android and all os are non-stable.
So we should know RAZR reset key.
hehe...
How to reset - Droid RAZR reset combo
Please hit thanks if i was of any help (it'll only take a sec )
That's the first question i asked after price! Lol
This is what I've been told. I didn't have any issues so i didn't required a reset.
Combination = sleep/wake button+volume up+volume down
You need to press all three buttons at once and hold down (abt 10sec)

Thanks for that but my question would still be... are you sure if this would work at any point while using the phone... be it the initial dual core screen or when its booting up or when its stuck somewhere during use... i think thats what ppl are worried about because at times the battery pull is the only way...
I think on all samsung devices holding the power button for like 10-15 seconds resets the phone but a few times on my SGS during a bad install and i was stuck in the DOWNLOAD option, only a battery pull solved it... nothing else...

Thanks for your answer.
Its perfectly reset worked!!
Just to clarify, it is Power button + Volume Down only for 8 Seconds to reset. Don't need to press both volume buttons.

Thanks for the correction!
I can't believe the Motorola sales dude told me incorrect info.

When I use the key combination on my new Razr, I get a screen that says fast boot, and
Device is Locked. Status Code 0
Battery OK
Ok to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
but I cant select anything or move forward. Any thoughts?

You held down the volume button as it booted, and entered fastboot mode. Do the same thing again, reset the phone with the power +vol down buttons, let go immediately after the screen goes blank.
thank you for this info
let me try to clarify....
Possible combinations:
Power OFF:
a) power button (1sec) = normal boot
b) power button + vol down = fastboot
Power ON:
a) power button + vol down = shuts down
??
To fastboot mode: hold POWER+VOL_UP+VOL_DOWN
Battery pull: hold POWER+VOL_DOWN

Galaxy 3 with BootLoop when you touch the power button

Hi there,
I have a Galaxy 3.
A few weeks ago, cell phone problems occur.
When I tried to find the problem I've noticed it the power button.
Description of the problem is that when you press the power button (it turns and locks the screen) more than once, the cell phone does Rist - shows me the logo cell phone so stuck in Loop (times infinity shows the logo, the operating system does not rise).
When the power button is not touching any, cell phone working.
What is the solution to this problem?
Thank courteous devote their time to help me.
sorry for my engilsh.

It sounds like a stuck power button maybe. Does the phone continually reboot (i.e. black screen and then a restart of the process) or does it just show the logo forever?

It sounds as though the power button is getting stuck until you push it again which is causing your phone to continually power off and on.

Okay, the power button has a plastic helps to click the power button welded mesh panel.
I removed the plastic and locked and turned on the phone by pressing the power button inside with a small screwdriver, and still the problem exists.
If I change the internal power button problem will be solved?

I can't say for sure since it hasn't happened to me but it is a fairly common problem and replacing the internal button is generally how people fix it.

Software to Diagnose a Phone over USB

Is there any software or commands I could use to diagnose my phone over USB? The screen is black, even during boot (no logos), but the phone is still working in the background. The notification LED blinks normally, menu and back button lights up when pressed, and it even rings when someone calls, though I can't see who it is b/c of the black screen. The screen is not cracked or damaged, and I didn't drop it, so not sure why this is happening. I want to test the GPU or other components before I put down a lot of money for a new screen and it no resolve the issue.
Phone is a rooted SM-N910V that has been working great for 3 months.
Thank you!

Hi , try with key kombination .
1. Make sure your phone is OFF
2.Now Press toghether Vol + and power button and hold like that until second vibration (reboot)
3. If that doesn't work try with another combination .
Vol - and Power button
Vol + & Home button & Power button for about 10 second
Vol - & Home button & Power button for about 10 second
Good Luck

Thanks for the suggestions, though I have already tried all those plus other things.
I've left the battery out for over a day, removed sim card, held power button in to drain any residue power.
I'm lost as to why all of sudden the black screen. Hoping there's a way to test the phone to confirm if its the lcd or something else like the gpu chip. On a laptop you could plug a monitor in the vga port, don't guess phones have this option

I read that the phone was rooted so maybe that custom rom has some bug and that way you get black screen .
Try to flash him back to stock firmware and see if the problem is solved .
It is just rooted on the standard firmware, I didn't install any custom firmwares. But I was wondering if I could possibly reflash it from a backup I made with twrp. I cant get to recovery, well actually I could if I new the exact steps since everything works, I just cant see crap.
Is this even possible or is there another way to access twrp over the usb?

Xiaomi Mi10 Pro bricked? Won't turn on...

Yesterday i received mi10. After turning it on and connecting with google account the screen just freezed and got black. It won't turn on anymore. I have left it under charging for few hours but it didn't make any changes. Tried to long press power button but it only vibrate twice. Vol up + power doesn't turn the recovery mode.
My PC isn't recognizing this phone too. It looks like something is damaged. Should i send it back for warranty or is there any way to turn it back on?
So you have held down vol down button whilst pressing the power button.
You need to hold vol down until you enter the fast boot mode
