Sms app problem!! Help me please!

Hi guys, i've a problem...i had an LG Optimus 3D and yesterday i bought a GSIII...today I root it and i transferred the folder of titanium backup of the LG on the Galaxy...I restored all the apps and now the native SMS app doesnt work,if i try to open the app it crash probably because it is damaged by the data of titanium backup ...What can i do now? I have to reinstall te .apk file of sms app? where can i find it?? HELP ME PLEASEEEEEEE
way out
when you use titanium backup to restore sms
you should restore only Data
that is, when you restore messages, you should restore DATA ONLY
and if you restore app+data, then sms application will always crash, because sms app of one phone dowsnot work on another phone.
Now the way out is,
1. you will have to reflash the rom (donot wipe data)
2. then restore messaging DATA ONLY via titanium backup
All the best

[Q] Transfer apps and appdata from Galaxy S2 to Sony Z2

Hi,
i transfer my contacts with phoneexplorer, that works.
But is it possible to backup apps and appdata on S2 and restore them to Z2.
I put my SD-Card from the S2 to Z2 and i try it with appBackup, the apps could be restored on the Z2 but the appdata not.
i try to restore colornote, shazam, and nitrodesk mail client.
All apps are unconfigured without any data.
The difference i see between S2 and Z2 is, that the SD-Card (many from my apps and data are there) is
S2 ../external_sd
Z2 ../sdcard1
Is it possible to configure/rename the folder sdcard1 to external_sd and should that work or any other suggestion?
Thanks in advance

If you're rooted, try Titanium Backup. It does a hell of a job. It helped me transfer about 150 apps along with their data from S3 to Z2

Okay thanks,
my s2 is rooted, i root the Z2 too and try titanium.
Great, Titanium works like a dream.
I had restored all Apps with data and settings on the Z2, except Navigon.
After restore Navigon crashs, installing from play works but all favorites and routes are empty.
I try to export the tables with some sqlite tools as csv but imports failed because there's a blob field in every row that can't be exported.
You can also try Xperia Transfer Mobile from Play. I've installed it but never used it.

[Q] Backup game progress on HD 6

Hi,
I'd like to swap out my kid's Fire HD 6 with another tablet. The only thing stopping me is I can't figure out how to transfer the progress on some of his games to the new device.
I side-loaded Helium, but the app will not start.
If I use the built-in Backup mechanism (to the cloud), does that backup the app data, and can that be restored to another device? I have an original Kindle Fire 7" that I could restore to "factory", and I'm wondering if I could restore the apps to there (then root, then titanium backup the apps/data).
Thanks for any help!
Mike
Hi. I was just wondering if anybody figured this out for future reference. Thanks

Copy apps to new phone

I recently got a new Z2, it came with android 6.0.1 preinstalled.
I currently use a xperia ZL and want to migrate everything to my new phone. Contacts and calendar are easy, but how can I easily copy existing apps from one phone to another?
I have a very very poor internet connection, it woukd take days (!!) to download everything from PlayStore again. And app data would be lost.
Since I don't have root on Z2 titanium is not an option.
How do you guys migrate your apps and app-data to a new phone?
How about ShareIT ?
You can send multiple apps from one phone to another using WiFi Hotspot.
Install an apk backup app on the old phone and copy the backup folder to new phone. To restore you can do it with the help of the backup app or do it manually yourself via a file browser to select and install the apk. This does not back up app data/settings (because not titanium/root) but atleast you won't have to use internet to reinstall the apps.

To transfer apps and their data use helium backup. But make a backup using a Webbrowser, not to the internal storage because other phone won't detect them. Then just restore via website on the other phone with the same app.

First, thank you all for your tipps!
I read that helium doesn't work on xperia-phones, does it only affect the backup on sd card?
Just curious because backup to a web server is not possible for me due to my bad bandwith.... [emoji30]
I managed to copy all apps to my new phone. I will now try to export the settings from some critical apps and import them again on my Z2.
So again, thank you for your help!

Helium worked fine with lg g3, xiaomi redmi note 3 so it should also with xperia.
The backup is being performed to internal storage, but that option won't let you recover the apps on another phone, only on this one.
That's why I mentioned webbrowser backup. It's not backup to a cloud.
It backups to your computer storage. Internet speed doesn't matter.
Understood. Thank you!!

What app can transfer app DATA similar to Titanium backup but without root?

Hello everyone
So I've been using root and Titanium backup like since forever, not I switched to a Xaomi phone and I can't root it anytime soon. I want to transfer my apps and my app data the way Titanium does it. I don't just want to install apps in batch. I want to back up and restore apps user files
I looked into different apps but it seems like all of them.just backup apps without used data. I tried (to try) an app called cloneit and it kept disconnecting instantly. I didn't troubleshoot it because I wasn't sure it will even do what I want.
Any suggestions?
