Did not flash them downloaded one at a time and extracted the apk.and pushed them through root explorer then reboot and each works perfect just make sure and do a backup ..running cherry rom faux123 kernel.
I have them all besides the ics mms not tested it yet .they only work on gingerbread and froyo only.

Just pushed these to my phone using ADB, but no go. None of these apps are accessible.
I backed up just in case, but anyone have any suggestions to make these work? I'm using Neutrino 2.1p.

unzip the file, pull out the apk, then move it from your sd card using root explorer to system/apps, change mount r/o to mount r/w, replace the old apk. set permissions to owner: read write; group: read; others: read. Then mount as r/o. close out and reboot. should work.

I actually headed over to the themer's thread on XDA and saw everyone there just uninstalled the original apps, installed the themed ones, and I restored data using Titanium Backup, worked like a charm. Thanks for the help though.

I wana thank the man for these awesome apps. Not to gripe but I wish there was an updated version of the Facebook cuz the color scheme is alright

Simply Honey 3.8 & revolution Rom 2.0problems 2 Problems left !!

hello i am having some problems with simply honey..
1.[Solved] everytime i try to use swype it force closes
2.the launcher it came with (gingerbread launcher) fc everytime you open it
3.[SOLVED]recovery is still not usable
4. the ocean waves background fc's
5.[solved]sometimes the power button dosent work
If you haven't done so already, reboot into recovery and fix permissions. This always fix many fc, do you still need help with Swype?
thay didnt work and also recovery dosent wok either
Do you have rom manager installed? If so, what is the current recovery?
Edit...I'm reposting what I advised others about Swype.
Try this,
1. Uninstall swype, swype installer, or any left over cache
2. Search for any swype files or lib and delete them
3. Reboot
4. Install the apk attached
5. Log in, choose swype english, install, follow the directions on there until it's finished. Otherwise it won't license it if you don't follow all the directions from the app

Download Rom manager from the market, it's free, open it and flash the recovery for your phone, then at the bottom, choose fix permissions. Reboot your phone.

[MOD] SystemUI.apk to show 1x/3g

I Modified the SystemUI.apk from Chogardjr3D v0.9 to display 1x and 3g instead of the default 3g always. I have never done this before so use at your own risk!
I have sucessfully pushed it to 2 evo3d's and verified it works without issues.
To install:
Download from my dropbox.
Connect your phone to pc via usb cable.
Open ES File Explorer and mount system directory as writable (under settings).
Open terminal in the folder the SystemUI.apk is in.
type: adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/SystemUI.apk
Make sure you delete the SystemUI.odex using ES File Explorer.
Reboot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik.
Enjoy 1x/3g display. Dont forget the thank!
SystemUI.apk
Doing so will negate any previous changes to SystemUI such as custom icons and such..
not just 3g/1x
Thanks Rob.
I pushed this after flashing the circle battery mod and the battery is still there, but wanted to note that my location icon disappeared and media volume, and auto brightness & auto location toggles were added to my quick settings notification bar.
I have yet to see if the 3g/1x icon is working - will update after testing some more.

Can we just push using root explorer

It would remove any SystemUI.apk themes. What I'm gonna do is find the 1x icons, mod them to GB AOSP Flavor, and make a guide to insert them into your own SystemUI.apk for ROM Cookers

I tried the permissions the first time... I think I did something wrong bc the phone kept booting to recovery and had to reflash the rom... Then I just copied, pasted, and rebooted everything is there and working. Didnt touch permissions the second go... The only reason why I know it is bc my headphones are leveled out now, as before the left was weak and low compared to the right
It flashed fine for me on Energy. Made a difference with my SkullCandy Ear Buds.

If there is sound difference then your good to go.. but for just making sure that everyrhing is working open the zip files and one of the folders inside the system folder then on your phone have root explorer or any file manager that can go or open root, then open your system folder then compare the files on the folder zip and your phone if it has the same and flashed sucess or else just copy/paste everything on the system folder on your zip and paste it on your system folder on your phone...

The install instructions are in the link in the OP bro.Make sure you change all the permissions after you move them.I re-named the original gallery to gallery.bak and the original existing 2 lib files to ....bak before I moved any of the files over,if that helps at all.I just left them in their respective folders too in case I ever needed them, then I know where they are at.
Working great on Black Star VI in case anybody was wondering.

Guys,I think this .apk only works on ICS (maybe backwards compatible to GB?) There are apk's that work on ICS that simply won't work on cm whatever jb whatever aokp whatever etc.....And vice verca. I have run into problems both ways with apk compatibility issues of things that work on ICS or JB.All roms have their advantages and disadvantages reguardless of what you want to install.Maybe it just dosen't work on JB?

This will only work with TW based roms. There is no jellybean TW from for our phone, so it will not work with JB. You must have TW framework and such for stock Samsung apps like this to work. That's why it will not work for the people that are on any CM9 CM10 or any variety of these custom roms.
works for me on Flap5 with TW4 from phmodbeta2.zip. videos dont all play at once like it shows on the Note2 BTW

[APPS] AOSP MMS and Browser

All credit goes to nygfan760 for his Slick Rom that included these apps. I wanted to stick with The Base, but couldn't resist Emoji and Screen-off playback for YouTube so I pulled these .apks.
Just flash the zip in CWM after making a nandroid

This works on my phone (Base .7.3)
Works on Stock Odexed ROM (thanks BloodBaron)

Not sure how to go about this for an odexed system.
To install in a terminal:
$su
$mount -o remount,rw /system
$mv /system/app/[APP] /system/app/[APP].bak
$cp /mnt/sdcard/[AOSP APP] /system/app/
Then reboot. :good:

Stock mms is actually LGMms3.apk.
And I've HEARD (can't confirm myself) that you can install them on an odexed ROM and just delete the xx.odex file that corresponds with the .apk from /system/app. So to install the browser just delete browser.odex from /system/app (assuming it is just called browser.apk).
You then reboot.
And may have to clear both caches.
Sorry for the noob question, but I've never installed anything via terminal. Can't you just install these apk's the way you'd install any other sideloaded apk? Do you have to use the terminal?

No thats just how I did, do it however you feel comfortable with. Personally I've never done the sideload method.

I can make one when I get home from work today, shouldn't be too hard.
What colors you guys thinking? I was thinking a cm-ish holo theme.

Anyway to port this over http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745830.
It has quick emoji, quick reply, different vibrate options, and an awesome holo theme. Unfortunately it's for Jellybean though. Maybe something is portable for ICS though.
Just as I was about to perfect my version's colors and whatnot, I found this cm9 one which works fine on our phones Enjoy.

Install is failing for me on the holomms.apk.
Edit: even though I am getting install failed, it seemed to install anyway. I notice this is a much older version of MMS. The holo version lacks the "original timestamp" feature which I use considerably due to being in a lot of service dead spots during my day. Any chance on the original plan of theming the first apk? No biggie either way
