TWRP Themes - TouchPad Themes and Apps

Has anyone else started theming TWRP? We need some love for the Touchpad.
This one comes from the boys on the Kindle thread. Props to the theme Dev.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423960
Download ui.zip
Mount your SDCARD
Navigate to X:\TWRP\
Make a new folder called “theme”
Move ui.zip into “theme”
Boot into recovery and this will be your default skin.
Trust me, its WAAAAAY better than working without it.

nvm, guess I should test before I speak.

No worries. I was hesitant to try it too. But the basic screen reminded me of my Commodore 64. Your themes are tight by the way.

Confirm, It works

jamesissocool said:
I saw that too. But, I set it up and it works like a champ on mine.
And another. Made for kindle but looks sweet.

Thanks, it works and looks great on the tp.

Background
I have received a few PMs for information about TWRP and I just figured I would post here.
Basically TWRP is a recovery utility like CWM, but it uses a touchscreen interface instead of the volume rocker, home & power button controls. For more information please refer to the dev thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400649
Personally, I like the TWRP method better overall, but I still use CWM for more complex flashes where devs recommend a specific install process using clockwork. However, rumor has it that CWM may be coming out with a touchscreen UI as well.
The point of this thread was to find out if anyone had created a TWRP theme specifically for the Touchpad. It does not appear that anyone has tried to make art out of the blank canvas yet.

[STICKY][FAQ] Viewsonic G-Tablet ROMs Frequently Asked Questions (READ THIS FIRST)

Here are some frequently asked questions about the G-Tablet. Where there are specific answers based on ROM, the ROM is listed prior to the answer.
How do I install Clockworkmod?
See Step 1 of THIS POST
OR watch THIS VIDEO
How do I boot into Clockworkmod?
With the device completely off (and not asleep/suspended), press the + volume button and the power button until the device turns on. If it is successfully booting into Clockworkmod, you will see a message at the top left of the screen saying booting recovery image.
How do I perform a wipe data/factory reset?
With Clockworkmod, select the third option in the menu "wipe data/factory reset" and press the Home key (second button down on the right side of the gTablet in landscape view). Then, confirm wipe by selecting "Yes - wipe data/factory reset" and press the Home key again.
How do I clear the cache?
With Clockworkmod, select the fourth option in the menu "wipe cache partition" and press the Home key (second button down on the right side of the gTablet in landscape view). Then, confirm wipe by selecting "Yes - Wipe Cache" and press the Home key again.
How do I install VEGAn-TAB/TnT Lite/Cyanogenmod?
See the very first post of THIS THREAD
Where can I find the different ROMs for the G-Tablet?
1) Stock by Viewsonic
2) Stock + Performance Pack by rothnic
3) Tnt Lite 4.1 by Roebeet
4) VEGAn-TAB beta 5.1 by gojimi, Roebeet and Rothic
5) Zpad Clean 3.0 by rothnic
6) CyanogenMod 6.1 Beta4 by bekriebel
7) CyanogenMod 7.0 RC0 beta3 by bittrix
8) Tnt G-Harmony-Gingerbread Elements by tjohnsonjr
9) Plus the great kernel enhancement by clemsyn.
Keyboard and Mouse Support
VEGAn-TAB: Yes; supports an external keyboard and mouse, but it is picky. I have tested three keyboards; only one worked (MS Natural Keyboard). The MS Arc and an old Compaq keyboard did not. All mouses tested worked fine (both wireless and wired).
TnT-Lite: In testing; will update when testing complete.
Cyanogenmod 6.1b4: Yes; According to iammuze, keyboard and mouse both work.
Wallpaper blurry
Some have pointed to applications that can possibly fix this (Wallpaper Set & Save, MultiPicture Live Wallpaper) but I have had limited success with both of these. A bit of experimenting with different wallpapers will yield a satisfactory wallpaper image until this is cleared up at a later time.
Screen resolution in landscape (horizontal) mode
1024 x 600. Remember that if you're making wallpaper, when using the G-Tab in portrait mode (vertically) will make the wallpaper shrink and there will be black bars on top and below the image. Best image size: 1024 x 1024.
How do I get a fully working Marketplace?
See Step 3 of THIS POST
Is there a difference between the marketplace that comes with most G-Tablet ROM builds or the new "improved" market?
The only difference is the appearance. In functionality, it is the same. The market hack is still required for the new improved marketplace (and reports are that it often takes more tries to make work than the standard market).
Problems with acore FC's
The problem is a corrupt contacts sqlite database. As the referenced post says, you'll be able to tell if thats the problem when there is a .db-journal file in the folder. The folder is /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/ *Note* this is not the data folder in sdcard, but the data folder in root (/).
Just delete the databases folder in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts and restart. The contacts database will be rebuilt and re-synced.
Also, see THIS THREAD/FAQ
Why do I keep seeing repartitioning as a solution to install problems?
Because Viewsonic didn't partition the G-Tablets in a way that Android likes to live on. By repartitioning, Android feels happier and many issues/problems are resolved.
What is the recommended repartition ratio?
2GB/0MB is STRONGLY recommended for TnT Lite 3.00+
2GB/256MB is considered the default setup
4GB/256MB is used by many people, but see the aforementioned caveat regarding TnT Lite.
Why won't one of the devs answer my question/post?
Because they:
1. Have day jobs.
2. Are busy coding and fixing the next release of VEGAn-TAB.
3. Have seen your question 23 times already in this thread: the search function is your friend.
4. Are not being paid to read forums and go through 100's of posts, many of which ask the same question (although they do this out of the kindness of their hearts thankfully!!!).
Who are the devs working on the G-Tablet
VEGAn-TAB: Gojimi, Rothnic, and Roebeet
TnT-Lite: Roebeet
Cyanogenmod 6.1b4: bekriebel
I can't get X to work on my G-Tab. Can you fix it? (where x = desired ROM)
Maybe. Maybe not. Currently, VEGAn-TAB is in Beta which means that it's still in testing. While it may be stable and usable for most people, it doesn't mean that it will be completely stable for you. If you have problems, post them and be happy knowing that you're helping the community at-large. Some problems may not be reproducible, however. In that case, it may be a matter of a corrupt install, conflict with previous install, cache or data issue, etc.
Do the dev's accept donations for their work?
Some do; others don't. If you see a donate button on their profile, feel free. If not, they don't accept them.
How to get the stock VEGAn-TAB wallpaper without the letters?
See attached image in 1024 x 1024.
More Advanced Questions.
Can the startup "Viewsonic Birds" or "gTablet" screens be changed?
Yes they can. Follow the instructions in THIS POST.

These were grabbed from over-the-air updates. They are full recovery images that wipes everything except the user data.
To use this with a vanilla recovery, you need to rename the file to update.zip, copy it to the root of /sdcard, and also create a recovery folder with a file called "command" (see the 1.00 release for that file). When you run recovery, the command file will direct recovery to run the update.zip to update the system.

Great FAQ!
"Why won't one of the devs answer my question/post?" is so true. I scan this forum daily, but there is no way to keep up with all the questions that pop up (especially once it's back more than 2 pages). If you really need me, PM me - at least I'll eventually see the question. But, keep in mind that I get more PM's than you might realize, so it could take me some time to respond.
@ehunyadi as Robeet said Great FAQ. This will definitely help alot of people.
Now I just need to find free time at home to test out the vegan ROM.
Maybe this should be a sticky?

Thanks, guys.
I tried to change the title of this thread to encompass all flavors of G-Tab ROMs but I think only a mod can do that.
I am going to start including info about all the different ROMs in here as well to help keep things simple in regards to finding the FAQ's in one place. This SHOULD help reduce the questions a bit. At least that's my hope.
Awesome job! Thank you so much for this! I posted your video of VEGAn-TAB on our new ROM homepage. Check it out @ HTTP://vegantab.gojimi.com.

OK, I am a n00b to the Gtab scene. I do read the first post 99.9% of the time, but when the first post leads me to an incorrect first post about how to install, I must make mention of that fact. The first post mentioned does not have any instructions for installing. Is there a step by step tutorial for this to be found?
TIA ..... HTR
I see you added the link to the default wallpaper without the branding but what is the location of the default Vegan wallpaper or at least a link to it? I changed my wallpaper and now would like to revert but do not know the location. Thanks a lot.

Once you change it from the default, there's no known way to go back right now.
Edited to add: You can always use the image an image that is identical to what VEGAn-TAB comes with stock, but this has to be downloaded and selected from gallery/filesystem vs going back to the default wallpaper.

Good point; I'll fix that link.
As for a step-by-step, you can view THIS VIDEO that takes you through the steps of installing with Clockworkmod. Ignore the fact that it already has an OS on the G-Tab; you can do this with a fresh install as well.
Also, see THIS THREAD for step-by-step instructions. I'll fix the first post in the thread to reflect the change.

[ALL][CWM][APK]Hard-Keys editor app! (Volume keys to whatever you want!)

Hey everybody!
***New APK editor added! Set the keys to whatever you want, see below!***
****I will not be held responsible if your Nook Color starts eating babies!!****
****Or if it breaks either!!****
****Added a revert, for those who may have issues returning the keylayout to stock (like 1.1 users who can't run the keylayout app)****
****As an added request, if anyone knows how to reload the keylayouts sans reboot, please let me know, as that is really the only thing missing from this little thing. I would love to be able to quickly reload these as needed.****
So after creating the flashable zip file for the keylayouts, and receiving some feedback that implied it would be nice to have more options, I decided to brush up on the coding skills and write a nice little app that can re-write the keylayout files without having to flash anything. This is actually my first android app, so please provide me with any feedback you may have, the more the better. The way I see it, the more I know, the better things I can make.
The keylayout app currently supports mapping the volume keys to these items:
Volume Up
Volume Down
Menu
Back
Search
D-pad Center
and can additionally support wake on press, if desired. Once written, you will need to reboot your device for the keylayout to be effective, but it's still easier than manual edits or multiple flashes.
***Note that using the app requires su access, and also at this point requires that you first flash one of my v5 keylayout zip files***
***I have received notice that the application does not run on stock rooted 1.1.0 I will be looking into this and posting an update, and most likely a revert to stock zip in case anyone needs it.***
Thanks go to whoever first suggested this, I'll be damned if I can't remember who I got this from, but thank you, whoever you are, I'll be sure to give you props when I figure out who you are.
History over, now for the details:
To install: Simply flash either zip file in CWM after flashing your CM7 or Honeycomb build to your eMMC. Once you do this, you can install and use the apk file to make changes to the keylayouts to your heart's content.
The CWM zips have been confirmed to work on most all versions of android for the nook, and in theory, the APK should work as well, however YMMV. If it works, or if it doesn't, please please post your version or build info, and let us all know what works and what doesn't.
Feedback and/or critiques accepted, may be subject to rebuttal. Hope this helps someone else, and thanks to everyone on this forum for all the hard work you do!
FYI: For those who still want an easy way to change the volume when these keys are no longer volume keys, try replacing the longpress home app with Recent Plus, by local forum contributor timoskrempel, which I first found HERE and works very well as a replacement.
Version History
-----------------------
apkv0.1b - Initial version of the keylayout app. Feedback appreciated.
v5: added files that apparently weren't as useless as I assumed. Also created inverted keys zip, use INV zip to switch the buttons.
v4: removed useless files from update zip, cause I'm being a bit too perfectionist.
V3: added files to improve compatibility (HC v4 tested, should work on Froyo, maybe stock)
V2: removed wake on press (thanks jasoraso)
V1: First Version
I definitely prefer hard keys, even with the modifications in CM7. I'll give your zip a try next time I flash a rom (I've already changed my qwerty.kl on this rom).
One other thing - I also prefer to remove the "wake" for those 2 keys, I found that the NC was accidentally waking up from inadvertent keypresses on the volume keys ...

I love this. always get stuck in pics in Facebook and can't get back.
Question though, what do you all use for a good alternative to adjust the volume on the fly?
Is there a preferred widget? Right now i just have a ADW shortcut to the sound settings on the home screen.

Widgetsoid has a volume adjuster that I use, though more often I just use headphones with volume sliders built in, so I skip using the software entirely. Ideally, I would love to be able to mod the framework to add a quick volume adjust button to the status bar like the softkeys, however that involves code editing that I just haven't dug into yet. If I do make the edit, I'll be sure to post what i make though.

thanks, i'll check it out.
What would be really cool and I'm not sure it's possible and I know it's not in the scope of this thread; but a way to change functionality of the buttons per app. So for example when in Pandora (or music app of choice) buttons behave as volume buttons, but under other various apps like gallery it could be home+back button set.
Seems like you'd have to have an app running as a service and monitor the currently running focused app (not in sleep mode) and depending on what has focus do a live update to the qwerty.kl file to change buttons to expected functionality, not sure if a reboot is required after an update to the kl file though?

change mapping in step 4 from here:

adb pull /system/usr/keylayout/TWL4030_Keypad.kl

edit 'TWL4030_Keypad.kl' and 'omap_twl4030keypad.kl' with a unix line ending aware text editor (Notepad++, gedit, vi)
replace 'VOLUME_DOWN' with 'BACK' and replace 'VOLUME_UP' with 'MENU' in each (or vice-versa)
adb shell

exit
adb push TWL4030_Keypad.kl /system/usr/keylayout/TWL4030_Keypad.kl

I will have to put together a stock zip and put it up sometime in the near future. Your swap keys is not easily done directly, but I have posted a new flashable zip that will swap the keys, flash INV-v5 to have the volup function as back and voldown to work as menu. This one I haven't tested, as I don't actually have my nook with me here now, but in theory it should be OK, as all I did was swap the mappings in the kl files.
After setting up CM7 Nightly 4 last night I replaced the SDcard with CWM 3.0.0.6 used to install CM7 with a fat32 8gb for storage.
Afterwards I installed ROM Manager and the latest Recovery included - 3.0.0.5.
I am able to flash Dalingrin's latest kernel through here but when I went to flash todays Nightly CM7 it did not work (probably because of the 3.0.0.5 i figured). I plugged back in the 1GB SD with 3.0.0.6 and successfully flashed todays nightly.
I then tried to flash the Hard Key Mod file using the emmc recovery and it did not work so I copied it to my 1GB SD and that worked.
Anyways...I wrote this just in case someone was having the same problem I had flashing the Hard Key Mod file and to see if there is any method to set up 3.0.0.6 on the emmc so that I don't have to insert the 1GB SD every time I wanna flash CM7 nightlies.

My assumption (it may be wrong, as I do not have my nook present with me to confirm) is that the system partition on the CM7 builds is ext4, and as a result, 3.0.0.5 would not be able to access it to flash any data. flashing either the cm7 nightlies or my additions, both of which write to this ext4 partition, needs to be done via 3.0.0.6.
That being said. I personally managed to get 3.0.0.6 to work on my emmc by taking the uImage and uRamdisk from the SD card version, renaming them uRecRam and uRecImg, and copying them to the eMMC boot parition. I would not recommend doing this without knowing *Exactly* what you are doing, as overriding these files with other files could cause bad things to happen, and as I said above, bad things are bad.

Yeah, I figured it had to be that EXT4 partitions are not compatible with 3.0.0.5 but it took me a while to get it. So I take it you need to use ADB in order to rename and copy to boot those files?

My ADB machine was down and out at the time, so I had to do it via ES file manager and the terminal on the nook itself, but yeah, manual replacement was the way to go. sometimes a bit of command-fu is just easier than the alternative.

I use Volume Widget by Futon Redemption. It gives you two little onscreen +/- buttons to adjust the volume.

[Q] Eris Rooting track ball challenge

I have spent days looking for threads so this neewb is about to break something. Well maybe not. I have my daughters Eris 2.1 and am trying to root it for her. I have tried several times with different methods. The issue is that I can get into recovery mode after every 1 click app but nothing I try will let me toggle to unzip to SD, or toggle to anything for that matter, volume wont do it and all track ball will do is let me select reboot. Man my DX was easy compared to the one click method.
HELP PLEASE,
If the trackball is having trouble scrolling, I'd install the trackball-optional custom recovery so you can use other buttons to scroll. There are instructions for doing this here:
http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/214240-amon_ra-1-6-2-custom-recovery-trackball-not-required.html
It sounds like you fall into "Scenario 2" which says you should follow the same method as "Scenario 1" to get rooted using the trackball-optional recovery.
I'll give it a shot, The help is much appreciated,
I am been trying to help him to get this thing to add the Custom Recovery, but every root format has not worked at all. Most are outdated or there are files missing. Specially on the link provided above. The download for the scripts no longer has Root_1 or Root_2, it has a bunch of other stuff there for gscript. Found an link on Droidforums for gscript for rooting and the scripts don't work.
Any complete instructions anywhere?

The root_part1 and root_part2 files are part of erisuser1's (bftb0's) Universal Root for Dummies! thread that I do reference in my AF thread, but these should still be up, active, and available.
So, I'm not sure if you are speaking about becoming rooted or installing a my trackball-optional custom recovery.
Let us know.
Cheers!
Im sure my kid has shuned me for leaving her Eris with someone so thanks to everyone for the help. Pop is helping me out and after moving file at the point where it says to open and look to see root 1 and root2 they are not there and there are a ton of other stuff. Also the pick look different than on the thread like the app has been updated. Also when doing the ball recovery there is no tools folder to be found. I'm sure pop wont touch it again till tomorrow so any other help / advice is more than welcome or it may cost me my Dx

LOL, sorry, didn't make/see the connection between your two posts .
Okay, let's try something new here...
Just a week or so ago, I re-packed jcase's 1-click rooting app to include my trackball-optional recovery image in lieu of the original recovery that his app includes.
So, let's have you re-root using the new 1-click app (all credit to jcase, both for his app and his threads both here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742228 and over at AF http://androidforums.com/eris-all-things-root/139178-universal-1-click-eris-app-apk-no-pcs-no-scripts-needed-easy.html).
Since you've already used the 1-click app before, then all you'll have to do is grab my new "trackball-optional" version:
https://sites.google.com/site/scaryalienware/downloads/one-click-tbo.apk
MD5 sum: 15763b51cf707c027cc73bc117e1fc39
(the "tbo" in the name stands for "trackball optional" ).
Just follow the same process you did before while running the 1-click app and you should end-up with my trackball-optional recovery installed.
Let me know how it goes (you'll be the first besides me that I know of that has tried it; the user that I created it for to test has not yet responded, LOL).
Cheers!
I tried this link below. It no longer has the root_1 and root_2 in it.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=774XYFRA
I did use your "updated" 1-click app with tbo and it worked great.
Thanks!!
Too bad this phone was not as easy as my captivate.

Glad that jcase's repackaged app worked for you. I'll update my documentation to make this available to others.
Also, re. the above Megaupload link...it works just fine for me (from my PC and from my Droid X) and includes all of the aforementioned root_part1/2 files.
I think you've fallen prey to a truncated download, which is not uncommon with Megaupload in my experience. This is also why is important to double-check the file sizes and MD5 checksums of files that you download so that you know you got the whole-shebang; notice that erisuser1 did include the MD5 in his thread for this file:
- Download gscript.zip (MD5 92796a8c6e61e8f1ee36e315c0acae7d)
I've often found it helpful to use a different browser other than the stock browser (like Opera Mini) when doing downloads via my Eris since the stock browser does seem to have more issues (timeouts perhaps) than it should.
Cheers!
Thanks to all this tuff till you hooked us up but now on to nightmare 2
I downloaded CyanogenMod7.1.0 RC1 [2.3.5 GingerBread NIGHTLY]
from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430&highlight=ROM
Got it up but it has no market so I can not get to titanium, boot loader or anything... It says to flash google apps after the rom but now Im back to the trackball / volume key issue because it's all in titanium. ??? I did a factory reset and it came back up as the new ROM, ???
EDIT UPDATE!!!!
Sorry for the hassle all, the "green" start call button works as the down after the download.. All is well.. I think..
Again thanks to you all, If I hear of any good deals on an Eris I will know why.
You need to download GAPPS to your sdcard. That is why you don't have market.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430&highlight=ROM
Its just below link for the rom and save it to your sdcard. Go ahead boot into recovery and wipe data, daliv-cache, cache; Flash Rom again, then flash gapps and reboot.

[THEME][TWRP 2.7.0.0] Deus Ex Human Revolution (landscape/portrait/MultiROM)

As a fan of Deus Ex Human Revolution game I was trying to theme my Nexus 10 for some time. Using combination of UCCW, live wallpaper (by Makomako) and android theme by Ramazor I’ve almost reached my goal – last thing that wasn’t themed was recovery. Lucky for me TWRP comes with fantastic theming system.
I’ve made theme based on Deus Ex HR game interface for TWPR 2.6.3.0.
It probably won’t work with older versions! I do not recommend using it with any older version than 2.6.3.0!
Features of landscape version (2560x1600):
Menu:
This theme has live main menu on left, which means it is slightly different from stock “page by page” display. In my theme it is possible to jump between different active pages – it will cancel all selected actions and reset variables, though. So, basically it is equal to pressing “Home” and “page” button in stock theme.
Keyboard layout:
Added numeric keyboard
Terminal Command – keyboard shortcuts:
e2fsck - As I’ve had few times problems with restoring backups and my tablet basically froze in recovery mode, I thought it will save me connecting to PC and doing it via ADB. After performing e2fsck on all partitions (usually DATA was most affected) I could restore backups or flash new roms.
It is important to unmount partitions first, otherwise e2fsck will report mounted partition and exit. It could be done either from \Mount menu or another “shortcut” in \Advanced\Terminal command\e2fsck. These “shortcuts” require pressing “ENTER” button on keyboard.
This theme was designed to use on Google Nexus 10 and as such I’ve added only mmcblk0p7, mmcblk0p8, mmcblk0p9 to umount and e2fsck “shortcuts”.
If any one will ever use this theme on any other device, those commands might not work!
CLS button:
If anyone do not like “swipe left to clean” feature, I’ve added CLS button, which cleans typed characters in command line. (CLS is available only in Terminal command window!)
Remove theme:
If one will have any problems with this theme or will get bored with it, it could be removed and recovery will reload stock theme without rebooting recovery. (File will be renamed to “ui_DeusEx.zip” but TWRP won’t load it anyway – to restore it simply rename it back to “ui.zip” and reload theme).
Portrait version (768x1280, 720x1280, 1200x1920):
Remove theme option (as above).
It was tested by me on Google Nexus 4 phone and Google Nexus 10 tablet. It should work on any device with the same screen resolution.
Theme comes in 2 color variants: orange (Deus Ex) and holo (I rather should say: “holo-ish”).
As files are quite big, please verify checksum after download.
Installation:
Download selected version, verify checksum, rename file to ui.zip, copy via file manager or adb push to /sdcard/TWRP/theme/
Disclaimer
Theme was tested only by me as far as I could and I didn't have any problems with it but I do not take any responsibility for any data loss or other damage. Use it on your own risk!
I will appreciate feedback. I can respond to questions\queries on evenings as I’m working and do not have too much spare time.
UPDATE 1:
Theme now supports TWRP 2.6.0.0.
UPDATE 2:
Removed confirmation windows from Power Menu actions (restored stock function: "No OS installed!" warning message in case of no data on /system partition) - thanks to Nezorflame for pointing it out
Added "(sort of) Holo colors" variant - thanks to halrulez for suggestion
Holo colors: basically only orange color has been replaced with light blue plus new background image to match it.
UPDATE 3:
It's actually a small correction on both themes. I left mount USB storage with disabled condition and it was shown even on devices without that function (i.e. Nexus 10), I'm sorry!
UPDATE 4:
Another detail that I missed previously was corrected (one of consoles windows was slightly adjusted) , added "Inject TWRP" and "Re-inject TWRP" options (it will be visible on supported devices, I can't see it on my both Nexuses). Added phone (portrait) versions.
UPDATE 5:
- Added 1200x1980 pix version (portrait), file has upscaled bitmaps and that bloated it up to 10MB. I do not want to re-make any of the images because it would take a lot of time (which I do not have right now), sorry.
- 1200x1980 version has different keyboard (removed keyboard background, highlighted buttons)
- All portrait themes were updated to TWRP 2.6.3.0. Landscape is still for TWRP 2.6.0.0, I was too focused on fixing portrait versions and completely forgot to update it, sorry! I'll do it ASAP.
- All portrait files can be found on my dropbox folder, link below.
UPDATE 6:
- All themes (lanscape and portrait) are now compatible with TWRP 2.3.6.0.
- In landscape theme Settings menu items were slightly rearranged.
UPDATE 7:
- Fixed "Copy" button position in 768x1280 themes (both variants)
- Fixed "File" icon not showing up in 768x1280 themes (both variants)
UPDATE 8:
- Added MultiROM support for 768p themes (Nexus 4)
- Added "restoreDeusEx.zip" file for restoring theme after use /ADVANCED/Theme tools/Rename theme file option: file can be flashed from stock theme (or any other) but will overwrite any existing ui.zip in Theme folder.
- Added batch "ADB_DE_push.bat" file for simpler theme install: just copy whole selected folder on your PC and run ADB_DE_push.bat file. Along with "ui.zip", "restoreDeusEx.zip" will be copied to /sdcard/TWRP/theme (folder will be created if there isn't one already).
UPDATE 9:
Themes for 768p, 720p, 1080p (portrait) devices as well as Nexus 10 (landscape) are now updated to TWRP 2.7.0.0 (that includes small changes to Settings page). MultiROM version will follow soon.
(I do not have Nexus 7 (flo) on me at the moment, so I wasn't able to test it properly)
Important!
Sorry guys, look's like it will gonna take some more time to fix phone themes - I'm removing them for time being.
I hope I'll be able to make it work.
Please stop use it for your devices safety!
Files were fixed as far as I could - no one reported any problems, neither I had any, so I can assume, that everything is fine.
If anyone will have any problems with theme, please post details and I'll try to fix it.
There are some issues with TWRP 2.6.3.1 on Nexus 10 at least with ROMs based on CM (partition problems, freezes).
These are not theme related and I can't fix it. I recommend not to upgrade TWRP now, please wait for at least 2.3.6.2 version.
I do not intend to produce any other versions for different devices.
But feel free to do it yourself, just keep my nick in xml.file
Information:
There is no chance I'll be able to make updates to MultiROM version or any other version of theme. I simply do not have time and I need to focus on other things right now Sorry!
I'd like to thank all of you for support and all help that you've given me!
If anyone wants to take over please let me know - I can share source files in PSD format.
Below you can find link to all the PSD files, feel free to use them. Please read info.txt. Good luck!

Please always verify checksums after downloading theme files!
Wow.
Beautiful theme.
Will give it a try. Thx!
Even though I don't follow the Deus Ex franchise, I can say that this looks absolutely cracking!
Will try this on the first thing when I get some free time with my N10 tomorrow.
Thanks! I forgot to mention that there are two sliders - one you can see on lockscreen preview in first post, other is bigger and thing that should be touched/swiped is that light blue cube on the left. It sounds a bit cryptic but you'll get it when you'll see it.
I removed a prior theme I had from the TWRP theme folder and replaced with this theme. Upon reboot recovery all I get is reboots to the TWRP loading screen. The loading screen is the prior theme though so it seems like its still trying to load the older theme that I removed and replaced with this theme.Any help or do I need to reflash. Not a big deal since I want to try the new 4.3 Factory anyway. Since I cant get into TWRP Recovery it seems I'll have to go back to stock and start over.
Dude I totally love this theme. Took TWRP to a whole new level. Wish the was a good theme for smart launcher to match it.

NICE! I love the Deus Ex HR interface style. Makes me dream of a world where you are just as technological as your computer...
You did a marvellous job there, the theme makes perfect use of the screen!
Could you give me a hint on how I can also get an android framework with solid xhdpi theming?

Sorry to hear that but I'm afraid I can't really help you - it didn't happen to me. You can try to push ui.zip via adb again as adb should be working even with TWRP curtain image stuck on screen. Maybe file was corrupted or something...

Thanks
I'm using these:
theme - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ramazor.theme.freedeax
icons - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.badwolf.grey.deus.ex
live wallpaper - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mako.goldlite
plus few widgets that I've made for UCCW and it's almost perfect
Still, I'd like to see a proper skin for android that would use similar interface...

Not really I was able to make TWRP theme as it was quite easy (xml there is simple and hardest thing was creating images). Things you're looking for are way out of my league.
Awesome theme. Now you should make a CM 10 theme using the same theme

Im using TWRP latest and I cant get it to boot with the theme. ui.zip placed in themes folder but it just boots to the TWRP load screen and stays there.
Sorry to hear that, I can't really help you with that. I do not have any problems with it and nobody else reported any problems.
Does it boot normally without it? Does it work with any other theme for 2.5.0.0? Can you run e2fsck on your sdcard via adb (make backup of your data on other storage before that!)? I've added shortcuts for e2fsck because I had problems with restoring backups but other people reported similar problems with their data or partitions on TWRP 2.5.0.0 (some of them went back to older versions). Can you repack ui.zip and try with it? Last one is a long shot... Otherwise, I do not know what else could be done, sorry.

Custom recovery for Asus Tinkerboard

Hi,
I've been trying to find a custom recovery for the new Asus Tinkerboard, which is based on a RK3288 chipset, running Android 6.0.1, so I can install zip files from sdcard etc.
The generic CWM 6.0.5.1 by @Oma7144 *almost* works, but it usually hangs after saying can't open /dev/block/...../misc (no such file or directory).
The one time it got past this it gave me the menu option for reboot/install zip etc, but I couldn't move up and down the menu with my USB-attached keyboard.
Does anyone know if there's a later build, or a tinkerboard-specific one anywhere?
Thanks,
Iain

Hey lain,
Did you solved your problem till now?
i think the big problem is that the Tinker board is not so popolar at the moment and you see this specialy on xda that there are not much to find about it.
I have the TB too and i am actually very active at the Tinker board community Forum but also there are not much solutions for some things i need or want for example bluetooth functions to use it as a headset.
But try your luck there and ask your question.

Check out TWRP Builder

They already compiled a working I'm going of TWRP and it can be downloaded thru the site or app. Heads up thou, I have a TB S with 7.1.2 and it would not work, just bootlooped or wouldn't return to recovery at all. Let me know if that works for you, the img number is 630 I believe, just follow the instructions, I already rooted and installed play on mine before doing this

had same issue, not sure if mine is s or not, i think it's just the regular TB.
the port poorly ported or it's just intentional anti-leech. if you look in the fstab files, you'll see it...
honestly, the best way would be to port it by yourself. i'm gonna try doing that sometime this month, no guarantees though
