xperia Arc vs Sensation XE

I can get these two phone on $29 plan, which of these two phone is better (picture quality is important to me)?
Are either of these phone a good upgrade from my current Galaxy S?
Thanks.
I would take the HTC, think that is better and surely by summer will get ICS and Sense 4.0, isn't it?
I sure hope so too.
I prefer HTC.
Data taken from the original pages:
Xperia Arc screen 4,2" TFT | Sensation XE screen 4,3" Super LCD
Xperia Arc memory 400 Mb | Sensation XE memory 768 Mb
Xperia Arc CPU 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon | Sensation XE CPU 1,5Ghz Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon
Xperia Arc camera 8.1 Mp 720p | Sensation XE camera 8 Mp 1080p
and most remarkable thing:
Xperia Arc battery 1500 mAh | Sensation XE battery 1730 mAh
Are you convinced now?
htc is definitely better...
I got my Sensation today, why is the video playback so heavily infested with blurry square pixels?
I can play the same video file on my Galaxy S without any rendering problem.
HTC Sensation XE is best ,because it´s audio outis best on smartphone.
I own an Xperia Arc, but HTC has got better specs. Test it out for yourself to see if it's faster by a lot. I'm happy with the graphics for my Sony though.
The sony is definitely getting ICS since they announced all their devices are getting it. I'd get the sony
Thanks alot XDA for recommend me this ****ty ass phone called HTC Sensation.

[Q] Evo 3d 1080p recording

Hi there,
I'm confused regarding any speculations, etc if the HTC EVO 3D records 1080p video. The official specs say that it records 720p on 2D now.
Is there a custom rom which allows recording in 1080p? If yes, which is it?
Do you think it's worth the money over the HTC Sensation / Sensation XE? 300eur / 350eur / 399eur
Thanks
It doesn't do 1080p last time I checked. This is more or less a hardware limitation. I would just save my money and wait for the One series instead of considering this phone or the Sensation. Both are pretty outdated now.

Its not really a hardware limitation. They are 5megapixel so they have enough for 1080p...

1080p is about 2 mp so you're right. But I'm not sure if there's any limitation on processing the 1080p recording. Compressing is more work than decompressing. And even more work for 3d. Not saying it can't be done, but that could be another limitation. I'm not sure where anyone got stuck trying to achieve this.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA
sensation does 1080p and our evo is technically more powerful, it is software because the wtsb rom does it using gpu rendering.
I think the One S is overpriced for it's specs. It has a Krait 1.5Ghz CPU and Adreno 225 and 8MP. The only thing it has is a better picture and video sensor. Also the 16GB onboard memory is not expandable! (no MicroSD) ;/
The One X is way to big to keep in my hand - 4.7inch. more than 4.3inches screen is an overkill for me ;/
The One X would be a revolutionary phone, though the size is what keeps me back.
Would consider spending 300eur vs 500eur? 200eur difference!
Also is the wtsb rom stable enough? Heard it has bugs in messages, 3D games, and some more. Have these been fixed?

LOL, One S is way better than One X and One XL is better than both.
The Dual-core krait is a lot more powerful than Quad-core tegra 3.
Search "tegra3 vs krait" on google and see benchmark tests and reviews.

mp its not the issue here, frames/sec while sustaining those mp it is...
if the camera requires more than 1/60 of sec to elaborate those pixels you cant use it for video, only for still images.
Ah I see, I think it's worth the wait for the One S then. I've compared some benchmarks, mainly tegra 3 gets defeated in loads of benchmarks as it's not using its full potential - 4 cores. Although tegra 3 scores higher in GPU intensive stuff.
One S get around the 430eur mark and I'll buy you will it?

mostly look like that snapdragon 3 was really memory starved, nearly all the S4 speed increment comes out of moving from a single channel 266mhz memory interface to a dual channel 500mhz one.
point of note, tegra 3 has a 1066mhz dual channel one and still is slower, in this case is just a core efficiency problem, probably the common cache memory is too small and the cores fight for accessing memory between themselves.
meanrom has a 1080p option, but it doesn't work.

1080p 3D recoding?
Hi guys!
This, allmost 1 year old ROM, in his description says it has not 1080p 2D recording but "1080p 3d recording in cam"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205331
This is CDMA version, so I cannot try it.
Can anyone test it?
And there are a lot of "Can EVO 3D do 1080p?" questions, and nobody even mentioned this ROM. Why?
The amaze camera app has the 1080p bit rate and you can find it in the dev section

[Q] Galaxy S III - Quad Core 1 Gig vs Dual Core 2 Gig

http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-hit-canada-june-20-2-gb-ram-confirmed
So as the title suggest, what is better? Is the Quad Core 1 Gig better than the Dual Core 2 Gig versions of the S III? What about the video quality on the 2 Gig version? Is that going to suffer? And even more, is it worth jumping to the S III if you are on the Galaxy Nexus?
My initial thought is with Apex Pro installed as the UI the S III will feel close to the GNex but with more RAM so it may be an upgrade although a minor one.
What are your thoughts on this? Everybody weigh in.
Thanks!!!
2 gb I will take hands down. LTE and the s4 combo works well, as proven by the HOX

If only I have a choice. Dual core 2gb Ram is of course better. With LTE support, is definitely way better than Quad core.

Q hmm ....resembles Q&A..
Don't know if you care about audio, but we don't know yet if the dual core version will still keep the Wolfson DAC.
If the LTE version will have the same battery capacity of 2100 mAh as the international counterpart definitely will have a better battery life.
I guess I made the assumption that the Audio would be the same...not a good thing to do I guess.
These are the specs for ease of viewing:
•Processor: Snapdragon S4 Dual Core 1.5 GHz with Qualcomm MSM8960 Chipset

•Connectivity: NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, MHL Video Out

Iam thinking about buying an Desire X, can you tell me how is battery? How about performance?system reactions and gaming?thanks for answer
Battery perfomance gaming.
Ah yes, the Desire X is perfect for gaming, for a full game experience i suggest riptide GP, and about the battery, it's great, if you want to use it to the max, be carefull to not have to many apps open. And the perfomance is awesome, altough it's just 1 ghz, when using it, it won't differ that much from the HTC One X, so this is the best phone for mid-budget prices.

Performance feels good, not super fast but fast enough not to annoy me with any lag.
Battery lasts about two or three days here on regular usage. But I haven't yet installed SetCPU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419) yet, so it might last longer in the future.
I'm kind of thinking about getting this phone but by the time I can change (27 Dec 2012) there are gonna be lots more new phone out by then.

Is there a setting to put wallpapers at the screen rezolution(480x800) ? Only picture that are 960x800 work and it's a bit tricky to set it on the screen because i have to drag that frame every time.
Ehm, i dont know, i just use the standard HTC wallpaper, sorry.
