Browsing embedded video issues - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hey guys,
Got my Prime 3 days ago, everything is working as expected (Amazing product) except one slight problem.
I've been trying to watch embedded video in the stock browser and I seem to be having issues. I'm using stock browser, with the latest flash player installed.
When I get to the video, the screen shows blank and I see in both screen sides a 1 centimeter of distorted colors, which seems to be part of the video itself, but not organized. In full screen view I just see it blank.
When I refresh sometime I actually see the video frozen on some image.
I refresh, switch quality for dozens of times before I get a normal video.
Could someone test the following streaming website for me? mobafire.com/streams (It's League Of Legends game streaming)
(I'm showing as a new user so I couldn't get the link itself posted yet, just add www in the beginning please)
Just choose any stream there, there are around 10 always.
I want to understand if it's only happening on my prime.
Thanks in advance.

Guy?
Anyone encountered this behavior? Could anyone take a minute or two to test the video I mentioned above on his prime?

yes this week end i would watch live soccer on a website with flashplayer
the video was very laggy no possible to pu on full screen the screen was blank
adobe flashplayer was not very good on ics

Also experienced this on both stock browser and Dolphin HD.
One thing I've noticed is that if the page has just one embedded video, no problemo. Plays perfect. Also, don't try to zoom in on the video until after the video starts playing.
But when you have more than one embedded video, it has serious audio sync and loading issues. Oh and trying to full-screen from anything BUT the youtube app will give you terrible results.

I'll give it a shot to try and wait until the stream already starts playing before I fullscreen, but I doubt if it will change anything...

No I don't mean fullscreen, I mean zoom. Fullscreen will always fail miserably. Zoom, yannow, screen-pinching, can get you pretty close to fullscreen.

I see, I'll give it a shot thanks
Can someone that has all video working correctly give the streaming above a shot? I'm particularly interested to know how long, if any it takes you to get a normally working stream.

I have problems watching embedded youtube videos on the stock ICS browser. My experience... If I click play on the video, only the sound plays and the video doesn't appear. If I refresh the browser page, it always seems to work the second go around with no issue.
Not sure why it doesn't load correctly the first time around.

[Q] GTabComb video playback problem

I have been running gTabComb for a month now and love it...however I have been experiencing difficulties with video playback. Regular websites, using Opera, work fine with playing flash video.
However, with an app called, Crunchroll for Anime videos, along with various flv and mp4 files on qq player, the videos appear "magnified." They play as if on a large screen and only a portion of the top of the video appears. Since flashing gTabComb, Crunchroll worked without problem, then started acting in this manner with no changes to the system.
I have uninstalled/re-installed the software to no avail. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to change any settings with this to get these videos to play correctly--without having to go back to vegantab.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm a Crunchyroll user, there is a work around to get it to demagnify. What you do is start the video you want to look at, while it is playing, press the home button (either the physical button on the side or the one on the screen). Then on the screen press the button that shows you all the programs that are open (They will show as small thumbnails of the running programs). Press the thumbnail of Crunchyroll. It will restart the video but this time it will fit to the screen.
I don't now how I figured this out, but it works. And if you are watching a lot of back to back videos on CR, usually you can watch whatever is next without having to do this. But sometimes that's not always the case.
I haven't tried this on other videos that do this but, if it works on one, I don't see why it couldn't work that way with others.

Clipped white with videos outside flash

Sorry if this has already been reported by I tried all kind of searches and nothing comes up, but I am really surprised that I did not see anyone report this...
Here is what I found: when playing videos in apps like the Youtube App, Vimeo App or the Android embedded video player in the browser, the whites are clipped, meaning the bright parts of the image become completely white and all details are lost.
I verified this by playing the same video in both the Youtube app and then in the flash player on youtube site in the stock browser (by requesting the desktop version of the page). Same test with Vimeo app, same result. When played in the flash player, the contrast is fine and the bright parts are not blown out.
This is really annoying, all videos look way too contrasty and bright ! Even when setting the screen brightness to minimum the same thing happens, no matter what power mode I choose. Seems to be a problem with the Hardware Video codecs maybe ?

I don't have this issue but for some reason YouTube videos barely work on many prime. It plays for 2 seconds then buffers its not even a wifi issue because my wifi is fine i noticed my partners touchpad w/ ICS wont even play these videos as well. Is YouTube not compatible with ICS?
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
Me too!!! My prime arrive Friday and the first thing I do was the update. Then i won't play any video from stock or other browser. Just a white or gray screen appears.

[Q] Small, yet annoying video playback issue

Greetings from Portugal.
Before I start, yes, I have tried searching for it. Found a couple of old threads that didn't help much...
My question is: Is there a way to watch any video format without it stopping every few minutes?
If I use the stock player everything is fine, but it cannot support several video formats like avi, rmvb... etc. I use the MX player, but on some types of video, it stopps every few minutes. It's sooooo annoying!
From what i've seen in some threads, it happens with other video apps too. AND, when i am watching something directly from the internet, like fastpasstv, the video stops loading also every few minutes. I have to restart the loading from the middle... not hard, but also annoying. (using stock browser, and this doesn't happen on youtube for example)
Is the issue related? Since it seems to be happening to both online and offline video viewing...
I am stock, non-rooted, and non-unlocked... Wifi is fine.
I have the same problem. But it is a MX Player specific one for me. BS Player works fine (but has other issues).
Edit: I tried with the 'Performance Mode' and it works so far. Maybe a workaround?
I never have this problem when streaming one of many video formats from my PC to my Prime using ES File Manager to find the video files on my PC and MX to play them as streams.
Is this something that you tend to experience with streams/videos being played directly on the Prime?
For me it is locally played .ts videos.
Meanwhile I found this thread http://groups.google.com/group/mx-videoplayer/browse_thread/thread/533d7296c0305183
It might be a Prime/ICS problem. There seems to be no solution up to now.
I get this same issue trying to stream video from sites other than youtube. It is when I'm streaming that I get most of the lock ups with the prime, reboots, etc. Maybe it is something to do with the allotted cache size of the browser being used up and cleared to make room for more buffered video?
It is rather annoying. You basically have to let it load and watch the whole thing as it goes. If I hit pause or so anything else then it risks stopping the stream where ever its at in the buffering. It's nice to have it start loading up, hitting pause, and walking away for a few minutes to let it buffer up. But then when I come back it would have just stopped about a 1/3 into it or 1/2 way. It would require hitting the reload button at the top or having to close the browser, kill it in the task manager, and then reopen it.
I don't have this issue with Netflix though. They did something right in their app.
I used to have this issue with mx player. It really sucked having to restart a movie every 5-10 minutes.
You want to use Dice Player. It's played everything I've thrown at it. All in Hardware rendering so the screen goes blank when plugged into HDMI.
Haven't had any issues since. I'm using the paid version, I assume they are both alright though.

Videos using YouTube API not working in 4.2.1?

So I just got a Galaxy S3 and flashed CM10.1 M1 on it, and I've noticed that embedded YouTube videos using the API don't play correctly. When trying to view embedded videos in Reddit News and Reddit Sync, the same thing happens in both apps. When in portrait mode, the video starts loading normally in the middle of the screen. Once the playback starts, the actual video becomes invisible, and the area behind where the video should be becomes brightened in color. Audio can be heard, and the video is visible only if you turn the phone horizontal and cause the video to go into fullscreen mode.
I tested it on my Nexus S running on CM10, and the videos work normally. So I was thinking that maybe this has something to do with Android 4.2.1 and above, maybe? Or could it just be this particular build of Cyanogenmod?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a pretty annoying problem, as I use apps that make use of the YouTube API quite often.

One screen pausing the other

When using some apps on the second screen to watch videos while trying to do other things on the main screen or vice versa....if you touch the screen not playing the video, it pauses the video playing on the other screen....which makes multi tasking useless.
I just got it a few days ago so I haven't tested all my apps but it does this with HBO Max and Google news playing a video so far.
The other thing is, is it possible to stretch a video to fill the screen instead of having it in a tiny rectangle?
Thanks

I'm able to pinch zoom on Netflix to fill up the screen.
I'm having the same problem. It was only with hbo max, the second screen would stop playing she using the main screen. Now it's doing it to all videos and it used to not. Idk what has changed but idk how to fix it.
Same problem here. I'm suspecting new update broke the features. Can't chat in discord and watch Netflix at the same time....
I remember one reviewer mentioning this happening with apps in general, especially games. I.e. If playing a game that requires you to wait for actions to complete, switching to the other screen to work while you waited would pause the game on the non-active screen.
