Picking a sleeve. Final answer. - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I've been looking into getting a sleeve for my TFP + dock. I've narrowed it down to these two:
Case Logic PLS-9 Ultraportable Netbook Sleeve for 7-Inch to 10-Inch Netbooks
http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-PLS-9-Ultraportable-Netbooks/dp/B001F7HI02
and
Targus A7 Slipcase Designed to Protect 10.2-Inch Netbooks
http://www.amazon.com/Targus-Slipcase-Designed-10-2-Inch-TSS109US/dp/B002NU5O2O
From what I can tell the Targus seems a bit more rugged but the Case Logic has really stood the test of time with more users and has the outside pocket.
Can anyone attest to either of these or offer high praise for another?
Thanks.

ahh thank you so much. I've been looking for a good sleeve for my prime as well. I think I'll go with the Case Logic.

My problem with both of these is that they've got a zipper. I find that it's inevitable that I will scratch my TFP up too much if there is a zipper on the pouch.

I use the Targus A7 in conjunction with my Transleeve.

I have the Targus sleeve also. It is very padded, even around the zipper. I have used it for about two weeks and have noticed no scratching. It holds the docked prime snugly and zips securely.

I'm looking for something like USA Gear FlexSleeve Neo-Cushion Protective Cover Case Guard for ASUS Transformer Prime too. It's sold out right now.

That is the best one I've found where there's no zipper for the tablet pouch, but yeah...alas,...it's sold out.

I use the case logic one with prime and dock. I have it in my backpack with textbooks daily and it works great. I'm not necessarily careful with it either...

Just picked up one of these today off the shelf at Best Buy and it fits my Transformer Prime + keyboard dock like a dream. Snug but not overly tight. The front pouch is also nice to carry extra tidbits. I like to store the tablet attached to the dock but some of the other sleeves were a little too tight. This one is perfect and the zipper closes smoothly without too much extra wiggle room.
Amazon link will be added soon when I am able to post outside links per XDA rules.
Just thought I would let everyone know in case they need a relatively cheap high-quality sleeve.
I also picked this case up yesterday and as the OP states, it's a great little case for the prime/dock. Amazon link provided below and you save 9 dollars ordering from amazon than from picking it up at Best Buy. Of course... then there is shipping.

I've been using my 7" Acer one sleeve for mine.
It is a great sleeve for the TF201, but it stretches out and doesn't fit very well after a couple months of use.
Does anyone know of a good fitting sleeve that has a handle on it? I think the reason my HP sleeve has stretched is because I carry it around under my arm quite a bit.
BUILT makes a sleeve pouch that's called the envelope. It has a main pouch that fits the tablet and keyboard perfectly and also has a front pocket for your accessories. I've been using it for several months now and enjoy it. They also make a version with an over shoulder strap. Both are for sale on Amazon last I checked.
Edit. Its made from Hugh quality neoprene wet suit grade material. Quite stretchy!

I'm kinda liking this one because of the shoulder strap and the clear front. Since I wouldn't use it near water, I wish they had a similar one made from leather or neopreme.

Silicone Case for Transformer Prime

Found a good one here, hopefully will generate enough interest to make it happen.

I'm so surprised no one is making these. It was a must have for my TF101. Now that I have the TF201, It feels naked and vulnerable.
I hope this gets made by someone soon. Like I said, it feels naked without the rubber skin protection.

Expect it for the new Transformer Pads, not going to see many more accessories for the old discontinued Prime.

Stop spreading misinformation, the Prime is not discontinued.
The new Transformer tablets consist of a budget model designed to replace the original Transformer (and with reduced specs & features to match) and a more expensive "premium" tablet with a higher res display and a price to match. The Prime will continue to be the "mainstream" model for at least the next year.
The main reason there are so few accessories for the Prime, is that people don't know if it will sell well so they don't bother pre-making accessories like they do for the iPad. If you follow the release of the Xoom of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 you will see that in the first few months 3rd party accessories for those specific tablets were also very sparse.

The Transleeve was garbage. It has an 80% failure rate, as in: it fell apart in people's hands during normal usage. Also it has the unfortunately tendency to physically damage every Tablet it was used with.
Hopefully Asus will release an updated version that fixes these problems.
However that doesn't mean that the Transformer Prime tablet has been discontinued. There is no evidence and until you provide me a link to Asus explicitly stating that the tablet is disco'ed stop spreading misinformation.
Incidentally, the TP300 and TP700 both use identical mounting ports to the TF Prime, so any future versions of screen protectors like the Transleeve should be backwards compatible with the Prime since all tablets have the same size screen. Perhaps they discontinued the Transleeve because they have a better accessory set to be released with these new additions to the Transformer Pad line.
This is what I want.
A little thinner mind you, but a silicone case is my desire.
Sighz, I used to have a very nice case for my samsung galaxy s2. Silicone inside, hard case outside. It was totally AWESOME! See this ->
ebay.com.sg/itm/Black-Orange-Silicone-Combo-Case-Cover-Samsung-Galaxy-S2-I9100-/190612983403?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item2c616b4e6b
It looks cool and doesn't scratch your phone at all!
Some are hard cover inside, and silicone outside - i had them for my iphone but it scratched my iphone! See this -> ebay.com.sg/itm/Hard-Case-w-Soft-Skin-Rubber-Silicone-Cover-iPhone-3G-3GS-Black-Orange-/140680538736?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20c136aa70
Thus I'm hesitant about getting a gumdrop case for my prime, because the hardcase is on the inside while the silicone is outside.
CAN SOMEONE MAKE THE FIRST ONE FOR THE TRANSFORMER PRIME??!! DON'T MIND PAYING MORE FOR IT! HAHAHA
I too want a TPU case for my Prime and am disappointed one has not been released yet. I have seen the androidtablet thread gauging interest in a silicone case, and I might buy one of these for use in rugged conditions, but it appears they would be thick and I want a thin one for daily use and much prefer tpu to thick rubbery silicone.
I currently have the next best thing to a tpu case and that is the roocase dual view leather case. It is two pieces - one is a sleeve that protects the back, sides, and bezel like a silicone or tpu case would. The other part is a folding case that attaches to the sleeve with velcro and will allow it to stand in portrait or landscape and at various angles. I don't use that part much, though, since I prefer cheap, sturdy universal tablet stands (about $6 on ebay) and have them at work and home, so don't need to carry the external part of the roocase.
With the roocase sleeve and a screen protector, the thing is well protected and I can throw it in my (large) lunchbox or a pocket (in a scottevest vest or jacket - yes I am a _real_ nerd and own these) and not worry about dropping or scratching it. The leather of the roocase sleeve is thicker than a tpu or thin silicone case would be, although it looks like it is smaller than a thick silicone case such as the guy on androidtablets is proposing.
It is a pita that the leather of the roocase sleeve protrudes more than it needs to and makes the power button hard to reach. Plus it makes the Prime almost an inch larger in both height and width and almost doubles the thickness. So, yes, I really want a tpu case like everyone else but the roocase sleeve is the only substitute there is for now.
Gumdrop case
You guys should google gumdrop case tf201, they are starting production and will start shipping April 16.
The Gumdrop is cool but way to much case for me

What is the thinnest folding case available?

I am looking for a case for the 300 that is as thin as possible. I really only care about scratch protection, I don't expect it to protect from drops (not that most case will provide that protection anyways). I do need it to have a stand function to watch movies. Since this is already thicker than prime I want to minimize that as much as possible.
Even the cheapie vinyl thin case that came bundled with the Acer a500 at costco would be fine. It was very thin.
The case I have for my ipad2 is tapered at the edges to keep the profile as thin as possible instead of being just squared off at the side edges. In other words, it should wrap around the side edges like a glove.
i just ordered the MOKO slim fit case from amazon. I hope this caters to your needs. it's slim and tough enough to even withstand drops.

decent but not quite what I am looking for. The case you are talking about clips or hooks onto the tablet in about4 to 6 areas (4 corners plus maybe 2 additional top and bottom). It leaves alot of the edge exposed. On th eplus side it is usually a hard back case so decent protetion.
However, what I had in mind is a case that slips all around the edges of the tablet. Most cases are designed like this but except what I have in mind would be slimmer with the edges tapered to match the edge of the tablet but still wrapping the entire tablet (except at the ports). Hard to tell, but I think this case fits that description but it is for tf101 only:

Honestly? I am still waiting for something the like the shell+smartcover that my mom's Ipad has. That really is brilliant stuf.
For now I found this to be the thinnest sleeve/cover/whatever
Urbanflip series on HandiHeldItems
I have one and had to adjust the hole for the headphone jack.
But it works pretty good, is a lot thinner that some other case I bought and has a cut out for the charger.
But an Ipad-like smartcover .. to me that's the bomb

Wow, that's almost exactly what I'm looking for - just with the ability to use it with the dock! They have this one on their site that does just that:
HHI Keyboard Case with Slim Portfolio Stand Cover for Asus Transformer Pad TF300
I have a carbon fiber leather case for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and won't buy another case unless it's the same material, it looks so slick and resists scratches and hides dirt like no other case. Since getting it, I've taken out the tablet probably 3 times!
Good find!

These are nice! To bad the carbon fiber one won't be out until June 18!
From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!
All 3 of these are pretty much the same and is the thinnest case out in the market:

I found what I was looking for but unfrtunately it is only for TF101
http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Leath...8517&sr=8-1&keywords=roocase+tf101+tf300+slim
I also found a similar case on Ebay but it looks slitghtly cheap. I wish it wasn't microsuede:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-Transf...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item3cc88b0bbc
This case is also very thin but I can't find it anywhere outside of the wholesale site:

Have One, Love It
I've had the roocase for 6 months now, and I have to tell you I love it. If you're primary concern is protection, is is superb. The inner sleeve (that the tablet actually fits into) makes it super easy to hold on to. Put it in the main case, prop it up for easy hands free reading or watching a movie.
Just thought I'd share my opinion. These cases used to be really expensive. I'm at work, and they have Amazon blocked so I can't see if it's exactly the same case, but mine is leather. Has zippered outer case, and sleeve that fits inside.

Glad I didn't buy it back when I bought the tablet now. Can't beat that price!

Oooh, aaah, slick suede sleeve!

Just received the following fake "suede" sleeve I bought off Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007W4KLDI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
It's about $12.00 shipped, so not too expensive. It's very nice, though, very classy looking and the TF300 fits in snugly with its keyboard dock. Suede does tend to pick up dirt, so I'm not sure how well it will keep clean, but all in all, I'm very pleased (that's my reviewon Amazon, too).
Suede may not be your thing, but if it is, then this is your sleeve.

If the T300 were a pure tablet like the iPad or the Galaxy tab, I'd agree with you and would probably have bought a slim folio cover that opens up like a book. But every cover like that that I've seen that tries to accommodate the keyboard dock just looks like a complicated mess.

Try the origami sleeve it hooks into where the keyboard locks in.
