[Q] How To Mod battery on KF2?

Hello guys, i cant flash zip files for battery mod on KF2 that used to work on KF7. can anyone tell me why isnt it working on KF2 ? and how to make it work? i have crt effect but i cant get the battery mod working
Hello,
I have the same problem.
To change the CRT animation, you have to modify the framework-res.apk file.
The same file is edited when you change the battery icon, so the former changes are always overwritten.
I don't know how to do. It seems that you can enable the CRT animation just by editing one of the file in the framework-res APK. But I can't find this file in the archive (bools.xml).
If anyone has some tips, please share them.

dude i can upload my framework-res.apk if you want, coz i have the CRT animation on my [email protected]
Thank you, I already have it too. What is missing is the battery mod, because if I flash a zip file then the CRT animation would disappear.

if the CRT animation is the only thing that goes away while the battery mod doesn't work, u r lucky coz for me i get loads of FC's if i do that. and then i have to flash the rom again.. im on stock KF2 btw n u? n by any chance have u tried UOT Kitchen?
I'm on Villain ROM 2.0 with XXKG1. I do not get any FCs, though. The latter modification just cancels the former.
And yes, every battery mod I made was done with UOT.

If you are in Download Mode and getting the Signature related error then you probably didn't flash the ZImage from the rooted kernel after flashing to stock/Samsung signed kernel to get rid of the Yellow triangle. So flash it, the ZImage from SD card.
Regards.

IF U FELL UR PHONE BRICK. WITH THIS SO FIRST TRY. BACKUP UR OLD ROM.
SOME MORE HACKS IF UR WIFI DIDNOT WORK OPEN ROOTexplorer go system open and put this stock files in system bin folder I ALSO USE BRANCLEWIFI THETHER WORK GREAT
sorry, can you explain simply?
I have GDXv13, what should i do for battery life???
I think it's better to have it in itemize step.. like 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on.. btw, i understood what you're saying.. ill try this one later, make sure it won't brick my phone.. thanks

[/
COLOR]trust me now my baterry work like stock roms baterry after heavy usage continuous nearly. 5 hours I lost 50% battery
if use
Pls !!!
So in general you say : Replace all 'design files' from your GingerXperia ROM with the one from GingerDX... so we have GingerXperia with GingerDX Designe and no Call Bug ???
But i don't think that battery life in GingerXperia is better than in GingerDX.. I mean I use GingerDX and can use my phone 3 days without charging... and I use WIFI, and hear a lot of music with my phone...
But what i want to say !!!
Your HACKS are no Hacks they are not your work !!! You can call this thread maybe tutorial...
And your English is really bad I mean of course most of us just learn English and aren't native speakers but if you can't speak English you shouldn't open a new thread... 'Google Translate' doesn't translate good...
Something else the way you write your thread is really bad. I mean you can use a few tools to make your thread looking better like the ENTER BUTTON !!! Or bold/underline/different sizes...
It is really hard to read your thread and follow your instructions because of your English and writing style...
so its pretty useless
ngingerxperia v6b is already out man.
call issue is fixed.
just download it.
Its a trick not a hack. Ill check this out.
Sent with love!
I fixed his English
We all know that the battery life on the gingerxperia rom by xperiafans13 is very good, but there are some bugs in that rom. The phone app crashes during calls, etc. Secondly there are fully working roms like gingerdx by dixoanh, but battery life is very bad in his roms, so I made some hacks.
1. Download both gingerxperia and gingerdx.
2. Open the gingerxperia rom with winrar.
3. Open its /system folder.
4. Replace the /system/framework and /system/etc folders with ones from gingerdx.
5. Go to the (/system)/apps folder, replace these three apks with gingerdx's:
- ui.apk
- setting.apk
- settingprovider.apk
6. Backup your old rom. Install this modified gingerxperia rom using ClockWorkMod recovery, then reboot.
7. Open root explorer on your phone. Go to the /system/etc folder. Replace hw_config_sh file with stock hw_config_sh file.
8. Go to settings. Click on display, go to brightness, open and uncheck automatic brigthness button. Reboot your phone.
Now your battery life behaves like stock roms. With the help of this hack you did not need to delete or freeze any apps like gmail or maps etc. And you also do not need to worry about your battery life in gingerbread roms. If you want better result avoid using framework mods and themes. This may brick your phone, so backup your old rom.

[Q] SGSII: Battery Increment

Hi,
I have never modded the battery icon, and was wishing to do so, however before I could I wanted to know what the SGS2 battery increment is. I think I understand what is meant by 'battery increment'.
If I'm not mistaken, GS2 is 1%, please clarify.
And, how can I revert back to stock icons, If I decide to revert back?
Thank you.
Stock samsung decresses in 5 or 10 % increments so if you wanted an accurate battery you would need to install the mod first.
After that all battery pngs can be found in framework-ui.apk in system/framework folder you can replace png's with winrar no problem, files are called
stat_sys_battery_XX.png XX = battery percentage.
and are found in the drawable-hdpi folder in the apk.

[DELL VENUE 3830][ROOT] modded Systemui change your battery icons

HI all
It's for the 3830 model i'm not sure if work on any other device
Few months ago I finally could change my tablet's battery icons so I want to share with you if you want to try
You need:
-A cwm backup only if a fc appears (then reboot in recovery, advanced restore, restore system)
-Xposed gravitybox module working (it's no necesary but is for avoid the bug appears
-a rom that works (for easy way) I recommend deodexed I cannot remember if works on odexed roms
-Rooted and knowledge about flashing through fastboot (for hard way)
If I miss something I will edit
This mod allows you to change the battery icons of your tablet and works, but it has 1 bug that I don't know if can be solved:
this is the thread where i found how to do the mod
The bug is that gravitybox can't change the color of the battery icon, but you can change the battery icon and this includes the color so it's not a big problem.
I'll try to ask for support at least for the screen freeze, but for now i'll tell you the method for installing it
There are 2 ways:
------->First of all have an updated backup if something goes wrong you need to restore!<---------
Then download my modded apk i'will attach all of they
easy way
is modifying a .zip file (you can do it even in your tablet but is slower and you need like 1.7 Gb free. In computer use zip editor I.e. Winrar)
1.- Extract somewhere in you computer, tablet
2.- Once made it erase systemui.apk and systemui.odex (if is odexed)from extracted directory/system/priv-app
3.- add my modded apk
4.-create zip ( recompile the files that you extracted)
5.- flash it in cwm recovery like a fresh rom
You can also edit the zip without extracting just go to the directory erase the files that I metion below then add my systemui.apk modded and wait for finish then do step 5.-
hard way
is when you don't want to break your head with you computer or you don't have it or don't want to use etc.
1.-locate my modded systemui.apk with a root Explorer then copy or cut
2.- go to root/system/priv-app/
3.- select systemui.apk and systemui.odex and erase them (maybe give you constant fc so you need precision and be patient
4.- paste my systemui.apk
5.- set permissions to rw-r-r (I'll attach a screenshot for how to do it)
6.- reboot and if you're lucky your battery icons will change wothout fc's
If you have fc from step 3.- this will take you a while only continue
If works go to NOTE 1 for avoid the bug and everything will go fine
Maybe hard way is too much
I attach only those that work maybe I need suggestions about the charging animations
problems check post 2
NOTE 2:
tis mod also allow to modules to change the battery icons with an xposed module xbattery themer If I not wrong. Also a theme compatible can change your battery icons maybe is a problem but is not a bug this is normal
NOTE 3
The first screenshot is v1.5 from attached zip then v2.0 and then 2.5
There are 2 versions In v2.0 only changes the charhging anim
Not working?
I'm not guarantee that work on your tablet but maybe there are mistakes
1.- check the permissions don't follow the image the root explorers aren't the same
If really doesn't work you need to restore a backup or flash a non-modded rom
The problem may be caused in odexed roms so you need to deodex and try again
for those that don't have a cwm recovery
If you don't have a recovery use fastboot and flash a stock .Img.gz rom
(turn off your tablet, boot in fastboot)
(fastboot flash system drag and drop file to command prompt, enter)
Or use the tethered cwm recovery for backup-restore your current rom
It's at your own risk and I'm not responsible for damages but it's too much it's only an apk
There is dual boot thread, I'm still without test it but if you have it and the dualboot allow you to go to the root of the tablet you can overwrite the apk for a non-modded skipping the steps but again i'm not sure if this is possible
I have some doubtss......mighht be a noob doubt
Will it work in 4.4.2???
Will i get any problm...later like force closing???

Let me anwer your questions
Yes it's only for 4.4.2
Only if not works you'll have several fc becuase systemui can't start or your wallpaper will be black because system couldn't install the mod during the boot
I posted in post #2 if you don't have cwm recovery
Flash a stock rom in .gz format through fastboot sorry my mistake but as it says will return your system to stock (without xposed and root) so I don't recommend it
Ok:thumbup:
I will test it soon

UPDATE!!!
The problem of the screen freeze is gone and the Google search ring displays so you don't need xposed for trying to fix
After all it was a problem in apktool but I found it and the problem and now work perfectly
But I haven't time to make with other battery icons, for now I'll upload the systemui.apk that I'm using also it have other things but hope you like it.
I am sure that now can be decompiled the app and rebuild with other icons and xml.
Sorry for the fast reply I don't have Internet but I needed to reply that the bug has gone

Extending battery capacity by adding another in parallel !

Stock battery stats is located here (its like a log)
/sys/class/power_supply/battery/
In uevent, charge_full and charge_full_design have this value 3150000(3150mAh)
As I added another battery in parallel with stock battery
I want it to be 6200mAh but it still shows 3150mAh which cannot be modified so, where can battery capacity be edited?
Aka where to find and change battery capacity?
I am pretty sure it's in system partition and I can't find anything related to this after searching on google.
I also have triple checked the connection nothing wrong.
Solution
You need to navigate to /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Then you can decompile the apk by changing the extension .apk to zip.
After extracting go to res/xml/power_profile.xml
There will be many unreadable this showing an null would be there.
You need to find the word battery capacity and after that there will be the current battery percentage
Change it to the number you want.
After that save an repack the zip and rename it to .apk
After that copy and replace the apk to the the/system/framework in recovery mode.
Don't replace while you are using the rom.if you do you'll get force close warnings.
